Christmas Decorations

I was wondering if anyone knew when all the decorations go up at WDW? I want to go to BCV the week before Thanksgiving and was wondering if it would be decorated at that time?

I may go the week after Thanksgiving as well and I am sure they will be up then. Our home resort is OKW but we want to get a 2 Bdrm at BCV or BWV after Thanksgiving but are afraid they may all be booked.

I always go the Sunday after Thanksgiving and everything is all set for the holidays then. It is beautiful! I'v never been any other week in Nov, so I can't say for sure when they first put everything up.

We stayed at BCV Veteran's Day week in 2004 (second week in November) and the Beach Club & Villas, Yacht Club and Boardwalk Villas were decorated. The parks were not decorated yet, but it was lovely to "come home" to that Christmas spirit each day.

They start decorating the last week in Oct. When I took the Backstage Magic Tour they said it takes one night to do each resort and one night to do each park - except the MK which takes two. I think they said they do the parks last, but it's a little hazy.

When we were there in Oct 2003, they were starting with DTD on Oct 29th or 30th.

I don't think anyone can say for sure, but if you are there the week of Thanksgiving, sounds like the resorts will be nearing completion. The week before Thanksgiving may be iffy, but you may even luck out and get decorated while you are there.

Someone here was at BCV lat Nov when they got it. Maybe they will see this post and chime in with a date.
