Christmas Day ADR charge card???

Last year, we had to give a charge card number for ADR's for Christmas Day but didn't have to today when I called for ADR's. Does anyone know if a charge card is needed and the cm messed up my ADR or is a charge card no longer necessary?

We weren't required to give a charge card last year (2005) for Christmas day. We were at Cape May Cafe. However, do remember that your DDE card won't be good on the 24th or 25th (if you have one).
