Christmas Cruising 2005

I totally missed the repo cruise thing...

but I like my 2 weeks in the carolinas...

because we are taking the trip to Cali in May and the trip to Florida in December my family is only able to commit to one week in NC with Rose (Stef) and her family.

We will most likely do the two weeks in NC and the NYE cruise for 2008 but that'll be it for us~ I only get 3 weeks a year ~

In 2009 I will have four weeks to use-I'll have been working for Danny for 12 years by then and get my fourth week.

We figured you(tigg, et al) might not want to do it...since you were going to be here this year, but I'll talk with you again after your trip... maybe you'll have a I need to go back bug by then. We are for sure going to make a ressie. Paul and I both like the idea of seeing the Canal. He was a bit worried when I told him it was 14 days, but oh well...he'll adjust.

summer time is usually my most intense skating time since Nationals are usually end of July beginning of Aug. That would pretty much leave a repo cruise out.

I would really like to do the NYE event though.

Since I'm such a techno wiz I've found our dates....see I haven't abandon you yet....but I'm making the Panama ressies at the end of the month.

So, this NYE does look good to us, it is Western (sorry Jill) so that did meet the need of being something different.

over on the pic o day I saw a beautiful shot of two rum drinks sharing a pari of sunglasses. It had me written all over it. If I truely was the techno wiz that I claim I am, I'd go get it and post here, but alas I leave that to my real techie fiend (oops friend) hee hee hee....

I've got chicken off working on my pinewood derby entry for the night, pictures to come, again if I was nice I'd paste that picture here too (as I stole the idea from this very board) but too lazy. Man I'm lazy....

I actually liked the Sea days...

but seeing Mexico and Key West is Bonus!

Stefanie and her family had been to Mexico before our cruise and she told me Mexico was better. I am really looking forward to this trip...

This is my situation: we're still currently booked for 2007 Christmas, but will surely cancel. I don't know why I haven't made the call yet, but we're definitely not going.

My kids like NYE 2008 western, and it would be 5 of us, Louise and Mel coming this time, so we have room issues, too. Tiggie, who are your 5?

I really like the eastbound repo, only because I wouldn't have to take Jesse out of school, but that would be a problem for Chad, who'll be in law school (it starts in late August). The westbound, I'd have to take him out, and he'd miss too much work. I have to threaten him with a sledgehammer aimed at his games just to get him to do his homework as it is.

I like the idea of 2 weeks on the Magic, and the whole Panama canal thing sounds VERY cool, but I can't work it in, unless it's just me and Jesse.

I'm going over to the DCL website now, just to have a look around. I haven't done it in a while. I wish I had tons of free time and tons of money.

About the 2 cruises thing that's what we had done the year we met you all we had Xmas 2005 booked with our cruising buddies and then the west coast thing came along...I say do it Nan We've no regrets

Aisling, I told DS's GF she could come with us...I was prepared to get them their own cabin, the cabins are charged based on double occupancy aren't they?

Mom volunteered to share with DS-Adrian and GF-Cate, hubby John and I would be sharing with Brittany.

Are there any cabins big enough for 5?

Cat 4 can house 5 people, but honestly if the price is the same for all adults I'd want another room for the extra space....

The room we had (cat 4) had a murphy bed behind the chair at the end of the room...Can you picture that Tigg?

We can't do the East Repo as it hits the first days of school and if we miss the first days they "can" drop us from registration. West bound is the way and yes we'll miss school too, but I hope we can make up the work. Wilson will be no issue (he is sleeping thru 1st grade) I sense he will sleep thru 2nd too...already starting to read Harry Potter books (I'm convinced those video games improve their reading skills.) Molly may have some school issues, but at 5th grade I think this will be the last time I'd even dare to have her miss class, so what the heck....

Depending on the rates I may considering both cruises, but we'll see when they post the cost of these monsters....

Off to more birthday parties now, just got home from one that they each went to, the next round is divide and conquer....Paul gets Molly I get Wil.

I am bringing Stefanie's Mom Rose...

she came with me last year and has already said she's happily coming again!

Mom has a skating competition and will most likely be in FL with my niece, so she will not be joining us.

I have to ask Stefanie and Brittany if they are coming. Britt was actually upset that she had prior obligations and didn't make it last year, so I am sure she'll come this time.

We plan on making a weekend of it. We intend to get there Friday night, there are pre and post-meet festivities at the hotel the night before and the day of the meet. Sunday, we plan on hitting Hershey Park before going home that night.

I look forward to seeing you guys there!

Just got off the phone with Member Services - booked 3 studios for December 21st. We're going through December 30th. The inlaws will stay until December 27th. Making reservations day-by-day.
