I was thinking we'd leave Sunday. Go to DL Monday and Tuesday. Not sure what else we'll do. There are a couple of new (to me) coasters I want to ride at Magic Mountain and Knott's - don't know if I want to go on them bad enough to actually go to those places though - I hear they're pretty ghetto now. I guess our schedule will revolve around you's guy's 'cause we'll have all week to play.

What days does Aisling want to go to DL?

Just make sure it's the 'Park Place Inn' - there's another Best Western on Harbour Blvd, but it's the wrong one. I only mention this because I reserved the wrong hotel the first time I booked there (when we didn't stay there anyway).

I wish we could...really I do...I think about you two everytime the Med Cruise is spoken about around here.

It's gonna be enough of a challenge for me to get hubby on the DCL Western. DSsGF said something to John about the cruise and he told her no way in **** am I getting him on that ship. I told her after he left the room that he's going-he just won't admit it yet. Once I book it he'll be asking me when we leave??? He's funny like that-

I zipped over to youtube and saw my boy's bday song on the Magic again... I was actually tracking the Panama crossing, and there it was right on the same page (thanks Chad) I've got to get Paul to dig out his tape, he still hasn't even looked at it.

Tigg, I figured that we (the kids) would all visit on Friday & Sat while you were in SF/SJ...so that was the thought about not tkaing them to DLand, but alas you know me too well, I can always fit in a trip just can't plan it out of sequence. (hence Wilson's bday had to be booked first) now that it is on the plan, we can move to May. Hmmm...that doesn't bode well for our Easter break/my birthday...March/April....New york are you calling my name. No beach house so I may as well travel.

speaking of which the houses in hmb listed lately have been crappy.

Also, I've got Paul to agree that if I can pay for it, he'd do the May repo and the NYE 2008, so I guess that means I have to get off my hinnie and get back to work. I've been really dragging it the last few months....so I guess I will dive back in and make a pot of money to pay for our fun. Fortunately we have a new client meeting next week, so perhaps it will fall in my lap as I need it too.

ok, in to the house...getting dressed (yes I'm still in my jammies) and then soon to get those kiddos at school.

I've been talking to Rose quite heavily about Cali...I sooo cannot wait for this!

She and Stefanie want to tour Hollywood, TBH, I could care less...I'm buying the citypass and getting my 3 full days at Disneyland out of it. There's no telling when I'll get back out there, but as you said earlier Nan, I may change that once I get a taste for it

I've got my Birnbaum's and Passporter guides here at work with me and have had my face in them all day~

My son's birthday party is next weekend, I'll spend most of this one catching up at home and finalizing the plans with Cate for the party. It's too gawshdern cold here right now to do anything outside-I'm a real homebody in cold weather.

my Mom says that's why she left Cali in the first place. She lived there when my sister was little. I think she was prego with me at the time.

We went from Long Beach to San Diego because your father was on the USS Tripoli in April of 1968. We were staying in a motel waiting for the ship to dock & then find a place to live. I remember it was then because MLK had been shot & they were holding a funeral service for him. There was a terrible noise & a lot of vibration. I thought it was in the room next door because they were sanding that room. Laurie came outside with me you were sleeping in a crib. When I found out it was a earthquake I ran back and got you.

That was the first one I ever experienced. After that, since most of them were at night, one would wake up & say "oh, another earthquake" and go back to sleep.

We left Calif in either '69 or '70. So, you were there for a little while

My crew is booked the 27th til the 31st~Grim and Piper and Dede get to do the whole week there. We move on to San Diego from there and go home the 4th of June.

The little dude made it to District with his fab car at the pinewood derby today....yes another day too spend in the stinky gym yeah!!!! No really I'm so proud of Wil. He really did most of the work on the car, designed it and made the cuts (with Paul's help of course) so many of the cars clearly were not made by the boys so I'm glad that Wil made his and won with it. Pictures to come latter.

Girl Scouts tomorrow for us.

BTW, we have not had an earthquake that I've felt since I've met all of you crazy people (online, not last Xmas). You'd rather have high heat, big snow and hmmmm what hits you in UK Lynn? I'll have my rock and rolls to avoid heat and snow and gloom, that's London yes? not really huh?

If Paul hasn't already thought of this...when Adrian did his pinewood derby, we used graphite in the wheel/axle area...it's a natural lubricant without it being a spray or gel. Wish him good luck for us!

Barring a hit on the lottery, I am sorry to say we can't do the Panama cruise...I really wish we could. I would do yours and Lynn's in a heartbeat!

We watched Descent last night...really freaky & gory, the guys loved it, I hated it.

The only one missing from my group is Mom...since its Rose I am traveling with this trip~I am happy you all will get to meet my other Disney enabler~

You may want to move to SJ for the last night and then we can make the drive down to Dland from here, or aren't you also spending a night in Monterey?
