Christmas Cruising 2005

ok, grim, that bouncing ghost is just creepy!

Hi all!

I've been doing a lot of sleeping...so I haven't checked in lately. Thanks for the continued congratulatory messages. We're telling Grim's parents tomorrow. We've been holding off because we're taking them to their (surprise) 40th anniversary party, and we wanted to be able to tell them something to stall time so that they don't arrive at their party before all of the guests! We're on our way to find some cute grandma and grandpa onesies to give them to pop the news.

Jim, that fish is awesome!

Hi to all the girls and boys! I miss having dinner with everyone!

bye for now

We're home. Dad passed on Friday. I'm not much for writing now, getting details together for his service. It will be on Mom & Dad's 57th wedding anniversary 2/11/06. I'm ok. Not really but I'm ok. I'll be back in touch in a while. Miss you guys all so much.

LY(Really)MI,

Nan

He's with the angels now. It takes a little while to get thru things; but, you're strong. May God bless you and watch over your family.

Oh Nan, I'm so sorry I missed your post and then posted foolishness. My very very heartfelt condolences to you, Lee, mom, and all your family. I'm crying with you all. Be strong, we love you.

So Sorry Nan, we're thinking of you and your family over here too.
Hugs 'n' Pixie Dust to you all.

 I'm so sorry sweetie, my thoughts and prayers are truly with you all...

Oh my dear friends thank you for you heartful and kind words. I so needed those hugs today. My sisters and I (& of course Paul you know) have worked together to get Dad's obit crafted just right. Here is the link I'd love for you to have this story of him.

We'll be working on the memorial service this week, keep the prayers coming this has been more taxing than I realized it would be.

My mom seems to be doing ok. Justin, my nephew (one of the 7) is with her for the next few days and hopefully will bring her down (or I'll be going back up)

Molly & Wil are doing ok. They are both in a sad place knowing that Grandpa Bah is no longer going to Bah them. Wilson is a little mifted that he had to have the pain and Molly got to stay home. Lord help me know how to comfort them.

I've thought alot of Dede and Grim this last week. Your good news kept me floating at times....I need updates....daily....okay, not daily, just when you can. I'm thinking of that little one alot.

Going to veg out tonight in front of the tv missed all my shows last week...hmmmmm....yes irrevent humor is how we deal in my family. I'll have Paul fill ya in on his bad joke about the bucket of fireplace ashes (or maybe not)...

Love you all and mean it,

Nan

p.s. might be taking Grammie to Dland for Wilson's bday in Feb. We need to be at that happy place.

Nan,
I'm so sorry  I wish I could make it all better...

Here's a baby update for you: We went to Baby's-R-Us and bought 2 bibs - 'Grandma Loves Me' and 'Grandpa Loves Me', wrapped them up, and gave it to my parents. My Dad unwrapped it and said...

"Now you HAVE to sell the motorcycle!"

He isn't too thrilled with Bella, and reminds me of if every chance he gets...

Nan,
So sorry for your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Its nice that so many of your family members were able to get to share some of your Dad's last moments with him.

I'm glad we could offer you something (the baby news)to help keep you "afloat". We will definitely keep everyone posted as things progress. I will have my first official appt this week, and should have a due date to share by next weekend. Paul was right about now knowing where we were when we disappeared. Disney vacations get Grim "in the mood".

Keep your fingers crossed for twins!

Dede

So I was just thinking - How nice life would be if every morning when I woke up, some one would slip a Navigator under my door to tell me what I could and will be doing that day?

Tough week for a some of us...wonderful week for some of us!

On the tough side here. Dan's dad has accepted hospice care, and he did agree to call Dan's bro & sis. He also got some meds & is able to keep a bit of food down. So better, but still difficult.

I knew I was getting sick...upper resp crud wiped me out, but I had to keep going. Then Saturday Jackson started spitting up. I thought it was just his cough--just cough till you yak a bit kinda thing. But yesterda AM I realized that he had had no real liquids in over 24 hours. So we spent over FOUR hours in the emergency room (WHY do people come to the ER w/ sore neck & sprained ankles when we have urgent care facilities now??!!). Well, the had to stick him four times before they could get a vein, he was so dehydrated. Poor boy. Then a chest Xray confirmed pneumonia! So IV antibiotics, and sent some home...he is doing a bit better today (and so am I), BUT it looks like he is allergic to augmentin! Everytime he takes a sip (he HATES it), his face blotches up. I thought it might be the Pedialyte. So I did an experiment...NOPE, meds. So we are about to head out to the GP, we'll see what he has to prescribe!

Gosh, fun month fo us since the cruise! NOT! Gee, even the craziness of that cruise has me ready to vaca again!!

We are still tossing around Vegas for my bday...Dan thinks his Dad will pass by then, but I think we can wait. We have ressies in KC, and that is fun, too.

Well, guess I should at least brush my hair before heading to doc!

Nan--happy memories to you.
Dede/Grim--Oh, happy, fun first baby (ies??!!) thoughts to you!
(twins SOUND like a good idea in theory...then I remember how much work ONE is...of course, if you start w/ twins, you don't know any differently!)
Happy Monday everyone else!

Kris

Kris: Prayers with you and yours. All of yours. Hope the boy gets well soon. (yes, I know Jackson, the boy is our term of endearment) I also hope that the Hospice care that Dan's dad gets is just as ours was. With out it we would have been bonkers.

Much love goes to you,

Nan

p.s. I vote no twins, I know they sound good in theory, I wanted them too, what first mom doesn't. The work of one is alot and the adoration is nice when it doesn't have to be shared (until the next kid comes along...)

p.s.s. the chicken and I are going to the urologist Wednesday...yup, you know why....might just get me back in the mood then huh?

p.s.s.s. Good night (Bye) belllllllla.....

Hi Nan and Paul, it's good to see you posting. Paul, pass me the Navigator! Maybe you can take one to read while the procedure is done on Wednesday. It'll sure be a good distraction.

Kris, how's Jackson? I used to hate it with a panic-ridden passion when my kids were sick. By the way, when's your birthday? (Thinking Vegas.)

Grim and Dede, I vote a boy and a girl twins! And you can name them Mickey and Minnie!

Hi all my friends. I'm writing this quickly, while cooking. I've been stressed lately, tying up loose ends with work. Today was supposed to be my last day, but it'll be a couple more. I'm trying to hold off my nervous breakdown until then.

BBL :sunny:

ok, Mickey and Minnie it is.... What a bunch of nut jobs we all are huh?

(p.s. no snip tomorrow just a first visit)

Jack is OK...has run some fevers the last couple of days, which concerns me. But Zithromax is SO cool--once a day for three days! WHY even do anything else??! (unless you are allergic to that!)

Got back to work yesterday, planned to finish my report cards (which go home today). Well, they disappeared! PLUS I had a sub this AM to prep for. Had to get work together for one kid who broke a leg, had to worry about another who tried to come to school (looked like Jack; doc says its viral; no chest Xray done, I say after 10 days of high fever and vomiting someone shoulda thought about giving this kid antibiotics! They did Xray, its pnuemonia, too! and I have another out w/ strep today! YIKES!) And Mom was watching Jack, and Dan was w/ his dad, so I couldn't stay late! This is the most stressed I have been in SOME time!

To add insult to injury, the NEW set of report cards that I recreated yesterday (lots of independent work time yesterday!) have yet to be returned to me from the diva music teacher!!!! Yes, need to get them copied and to kids in less than 3 hours! (ye, I am w/ kids the whole time!) We shall see...

SO I am taking 5 and writing to you all. Call it stress relief!

BUT I better actually do my job....
Have a wonderful rest of the week everyone.
Kris
