Tough week for a some of us...wonderful week for some of us!
On the tough side here. Dan's dad has accepted hospice care, and he did agree to call Dan's bro & sis. He also got some meds & is able to keep a bit of food down. So better, but still difficult.
I knew I was getting sick...upper resp crud wiped me out, but I had to keep going. Then Saturday Jackson started spitting up. I thought it was just his cough--just cough till you yak a bit kinda thing. But yesterda AM I realized that he had had no real liquids in over 24 hours. So we spent over FOUR hours in the emergency room (WHY do people come to the ER w/ sore neck & sprained ankles when we have urgent care facilities now??!!). Well, the had to stick him four times before they could get a vein, he was so dehydrated. Poor boy. Then a chest Xray confirmed pneumonia! So IV antibiotics, and sent some home...he is doing a bit better today (and so am I), BUT it looks like he is allergic to augmentin! Everytime he takes a sip (he HATES it), his face blotches up. I thought it might be the Pedialyte. So I did an experiment...NOPE, meds. So we are about to head out to the GP, we'll see what he has to prescribe!
Gosh, fun month fo us since the cruise! NOT! Gee, even the craziness of that cruise has me ready to vaca again!!
We are still tossing around Vegas for my bday...Dan thinks his Dad will pass by then, but I think we can wait. We have ressies in KC, and that is fun, too.
Well, guess I should at least brush my hair before heading to doc!
Nan--happy memories to you.
Dede/Grim--Oh, happy, fun first baby (ies??!!) thoughts to you!
(twins SOUND like a good idea in theory...then I remember how much work ONE is...of course, if you start w/ twins, you don't know any differently!)
Happy Monday everyone else!
