Christmas Cruising 2005

Aisling said:

OMG are you saying what I think you're saying????????????????????????

Yes, Aisling, he is saying what you think he is! I know its bad luck to spill the beans this early, but we just had to tell you all! John thinks that it happened on the ship and I think it happened the week before, so we'll see who's right when I go to the Dr. this week, I guess.

Kris- Yes, I think I'm going to have to teach one more year. First, because I don't think I'll be able to get insured by anyone else now for the pregnancy. Second, because I've been paying into short term disability for 5 years now, and I'd like to get my paid maternity leave.

We've been trying for over a year, have been on fertility meds to no avail, and finally decided to just forget about it all back in September. Sad part is that I think the reason I was relaxed enough to conceive is because I had decided not to teach anymore. I need to check out my options and see what is going to best for a low stress pregnancy.

Well, we've been out to lunch, shopping at Costco, and out to see the house, and now I need a nap.

Talk to you later!

YEAH!!!!! It was the Magic I'm convinced!!!! So happy for you two (soon to be 3) :crowded:

Dede, nice to hear you're going to nap, love the thought of you resting and the little one growing and moving around!!! :cloud9:

Congrats to you to John!!! :moped: ride while you can..soon life will be diapers and burp rags.

life with your own little :stitch: will never be the same.

party: :sail: :tink: :drinking1 (for we will celebrate)... Dede :drinking: (water for you missy!!!)

The kids say WOW!!!! Woppeedooforyou!!! (from Molly)

Wilson is composing his thoughts and catch ya later. :rolleyes1

Ta ta,

Nan

Grim and Dede, I'm SO happy for you!!! You're going to have a baby! Mel told me that now he's glad he didn't come with us on the cruise, if the Magic is that magical! :wizard: :rotfl2:
It's amazing how stress could possibly be a factor with conceiving.
Just a thought, but if the baby was indeed conceived on the Magic, I think Grim's pirate costume had something to do with it! Aarrgg! pirate: ;) I love the little souvenir reference!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful news with us!

Lynn, I just looked at your photos. Splash Mountain is my favorite attraction, and I always wanted to get a shot from the top before the drop.

Hi Kris, Nan, and Tig!
Colleen, how was your date last week??

First-Lynn thank you, I saved the link to your photos-I'll check thru all of them when I get 30 minutes to myself ;)

Second-I have to be the bearer of bad news to go along with the good :( Nan called me, she and Auntie Lee and all the grandchildren are headed up to see her parents. It seems Dad has taken a real bad turn and he may only last a couple of days. Our connection wasn't too good to have a real conversation but she did ask me to relay this bit of news to you all.

Third-Aisling, we never had our date :( It's kinda my fault cause I put it off til after I did laundry. John visited with my BIL and came home completely snockered. He knows he owes me one for next weekend. It's ok tho, he wanted to take me to see Hostel and it's waaay too gory for my taste, really.

Thanks for the newest congratulatory messages! I go for my first appointment next Thursday. I'm SO excited!

Nan, wherever you are, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Aisling, tell Mel I think he needs a little Magic ;)

Ok, I'm off to either nap or make dinner. We'll see how I feel when I get to the kitchen. :p

Dede & John, I told Brittany your news yesterday and first she said Awwww! then she said to send you two a Great Big Congratulations! from her...

I have not heard from Nan today...my Love, Prayers and Pixie Dust is going her way as well.

John and Dede - great news. The first thing I said to Nan when she told me was: "Now we know where they were whenever they disappeared on the boat." Your lives will soon be blessed in ways you can't even imagine - like kids sleeping under the table. And if you think you enjoy WDW now, it's even more fun with kids when you get to see their eyes light up over everything.

Tig - thanks for breaking the news about Nan and her dad.

Nan asked me to post to you all yesterday, but it was a crazy day with her rushing out the door. Her dad's doctor called us yesterday (about 9:00 am) and said the family should really come up and see him because it is likely that he will not make it. She and her sister Leeanna left at about 11:00 am yesterday (Monday). All the grandchildren and her other two sisters went up there yesterday too (it's about 6 hours north of us) - except that me and our kids (molly and Wil) have stayed back. (one of the granddaughters is flying in from Texas this weekend. It is truly just a waiting game and he has just hours to go before he passes away. He is in and out of concsiousness (sp?) but has acknowledged people's prescense. I suspect she will be up there for at least a week, so don't expect any further posts from her for a while. I will try to keep you all updated as best as possible.

Hugs and kisses to all -
Paul

I have been running in high gear this week...my teammate asked if anything was wrong & I realized how nuts it has been...you haven't heard my smiling face here much either!

Nan, Paul & family...MANY thoughts & prayers. I can relate a tiny bit. Dan's stepmom wants him to stop by this afternoon. I think she is just getting paperwork ducks in a row, but they can be very private with this struggle, and maybe things have taken a turn for the worse. Dan has tried to spend time w/ him each weekend since we got back, but he is usually too tired. I know Dan is very upset, and I cry for him and all of you as I type. I realize it is part of life, but it doesn't make it any easier. I've been expecting my father to go for most of the last 20 years (very overweight and sedentary), and I dread the day it really happens.

I really do still have so much to do (reports cards go home next Weds., annual orders are due 2/9, and I am entertaining Friday night--DID get all of Xmas stored last night, YEAH!)--but I wanted to send my heartfelt prayers.

Hi to everyone else!

LYMI
Kris

You da man!!!!!

PS: Went fishing Last week in Costa Rica (I have the BEST DW in the world!)

Take a look at some of the 400 odd lb marlins we caught.

I just wanted to report that I got my Castaway Club pack from DCL today! Very cool.

Jim, it's good to see you. Man, those fish are BIG! How can a line and hook catch a big fish like that?? It must be tons of fun. Lucky you to be fishing in Costa Rica a month after fishing in the Bahamas. :)

I hope all my cruise friends are well. Nan and Paul, still praying for your family.
And Grim and Dede, praying for you, too, mostly saying thank you because I know how happy you two are. :cloud9:

TGIF tomorrow! :jumping1:
