Christmas Cruising 2005

Hey Kris we're kinda close 8558 - 8590, that should be nice for our lonely girls huh? I hope Molly & Hailey can enjoy the time together.

This place is getting busy

I'm here for a little bit tonight, threw some laundry in and have some dishes to catch up on...

One week from tonight we will be on our final countdown :earseek: We start our drive on the 21st with a stop in SC and one in Jacksonville then to AKL on the 23rd...you guys know the rest ;)

Great info Jim, thank you!

Hey Ma! I got the car carrier out, hopefully we won't need it since there are only the three of us in the car. I have only one question, do you have eye hooks on your rooftop carrier to hook the bungy cords to?

We'll be the people that are very happy and in matching sweaters....just might be our xmas card (unless Tigg can do better) (a Challenge 'eh) :confused3

Okay okay going to pack now.....

Packing jewelry delimina # 949 We've lost the Aurora jewels!!!!! This is not good, they go with the outfit. Dad & Molly searching now, me trying not to panic and talking on the DIS. I *guess* we could buy more, since we are going to her castle but come on, how much can one person spend on this kind of stuff. okay you know me, I'll just buy it again if we can't find it.

So, again, gotta pack....

Risa...we thought about those walkie talkie radio things...but Marcus will not be allowed to roam freely. If he is w/ his cousins or friends, we want to know EXACTLY where they will be at all times. He is not allowed to check himself out of the club. I just figure it is a HUGE ship...and frankly it could be a paradise for all the wrong souls...if you know what I mean. I worry less if he is w/ a crowd. I dunno, I may still pick those up...It would allow him a bit of freedom, while appeasing my need to know where he is!

Marcus will bring his gameboy (hopefully mostly for the plane ride), he has his own disposable camera (underwater is great idea, I use those at the beach to save the digital), we are bringing a bucket/shovel for the 5yearold. From what I hear the pools are VERY crowded, not much room for much but splashing around. Plus packing is an issue (still not sure how we'll get the bucket packed. But bought a small one at $ store, so I don't feel guilty leaving it!)

I am going to get Marcus on to chat this weekend. He was unsure what to write last night under pressure! :earboy2: He is a game kids--from sports, to
electronic, to board games. What is kirby?

Nan--Hailey wants to put out a post "alert all 6-8 year old girls!" I told her about Molly. She is so fired up! Are we on the same side of the ship?

Better get to work!
Kris

PS THANKS for sending the shirt, Karen!

Jim, you sure know how to excite a girl!!!!!! SINGLE DIGIT DANCE!!!
:dancer: I have to borrow Grim's dancing guy, because that's just how I feel! Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!
725 days?? Holy moly, and I thought my 16 months was long! :rotfl:

Nan, glad you took care of the anxiety! It'll make SO MUCH of a difference, trust me. ;)

Hi Risa! And Tyler! The lurkers are starting to delurk, yipee! I guess the excitement is getting to you all! :Pinkbounc Risa, my youngest is 13, but as Kris said, we have loads of 10 year olds among our Dis families.

Tyler, please delete your cell phone #. You don't want some unwanted nut calling you. Give it to your friends by PM.

I've been so busy. Nan, are you ready? My kids don't want to pack until the night before!

By the way, I was indeed able to switch my 5 pm flight to the 7 am flight out of JKF. So we'll be at AKL early! I'll just take Jesse out of school a day early, no big deal. And I'm pretty free with my work hours. I may be even freer...I'm thinking about quitting, but we won't go there now!

Now if only I can win Lotto this week, I'll be all set!

Aisling -

Unfortunately, I've only just fund this thread. I wish I could have joined in on the fun from the start!

I've had mixed emotions about letting Justin come and go on the ship on his own as well. I've done quite a bit of research with sex offenders and am far more paranoid than most people. this is partly why I'd like to see him hook up with a group of other kids before we even get on the ship. Also, why I am really hoping the walkie talkies work. He won't be allowed to go around the ship without at least one other person. But, I guess i'll have to make that decision when we get there.

We are VERY excited to say the least. Hopefully you will know us when you see us. We'll have on home made Christmas Cruise t-shirts. We'll also have my 2 year old daughter who is Chinese. So, you may only get a glimpse of me as I run past chasing Alayna, but DH and Justin won't be far behind!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm so glad to know there will be other kids for Justin to hang out with.

Thanks -
Risa

So start now!

How many are in your group? If you click on Tiggerwannabe's link, you can see a brief bio of us all.
This is a photo of us from last year's summer trip to WDW, on our last day, as you can see by the sullen faces!

Aisling - What a great looking group you have! We will have the four of us in our party. DH - Keith, myself, DD - Alayna (2), and DS - Justin (10).

We're going back to WDW in Feb for a conference, but this is our first Disney cruise. We're in a cat 10.

Jim - Thanks for the pointers and the link to the tips page. I have checked that one out already and bought by closet hanging shoe organizer, duct tape, and baggies! I've also got Christmas decore to the max.

We haven't decorated the house this year so I am going whole hog on the cabin. Do ya'll decorate your doors?

BTW, we are from the Kansas City area and will be at the Hilton (using points) the night before.

Take care -
Risa
