Hi Tyler!

I believe KKB from Nebraska has a son about your age, I'm going over to my own link to check that for you...

Aisling, mine is well below the knee, Britt and Stef are wearing floor length...

Paul! Welcome! Good to see you on the boards, and if I know Nan there's no way she's marry anyone boring, can't wait to meet'cha!

Ayup! Their Marcus is 10!

be patient with our replies please, most of us visit at odd times and catch up as we can. I'm sure Kris will gladly tell her Marcus about you Tyler :)

I am still learning details Nan...I only sound like I know what I'm doing...:duck:

Mom corrected me today to tell me that our rotation is on our key cards and our navigators therefore I must wait til that Saturday to know where we'll be and when.

I have a charge card page to fill out, the contract page has to be signed and the bahama papers have to be filled out. Since my Mom is the grandmom I have the pleasure of taking care of my girl's details. I told Britt I'll bring her hers when it's ready for her sig.

I need to do a little alteration on my dress, it needs some tapering to give it some shape.

I actually have tiny ziplock bags that I'll put my neckalaces and earrings in. I wear no rings so that's really all the jewelry I need to pack.

I'll have my shoulder bag (purse) and my rolling cooler when we embark. It'll fit my day stuff and my beverages for the day til our room is ready.

I have a blasting headache and the puppy wants attention so I'm gonna go now...

Hi all,
On our last cruise, we followed the directions and took the Bonine pill about an hour before we boarded the ship. Well, even though it says "less drowsy", it still makes you drowsy and we ended up all falling asleep on our first afternoon. And I mean conked out sound asleep--all three of us! That sleepy feeling seems to last about 4-6 hours. From that point on, we took the pills at midnight. Since they last 24 hours, it's best to be drowsy when you are going to sleep anyway--so just to let you know! They did work too--no seasickness at all, but then again, the ship is really smooth.

Oh no. Dawn, thanks for the information. This is something I seriously have to consider. I wonder...if we take them at midnight the night before we cruise (we'll be at AKL), we'll have a good sleep, and have the medicine in our systems when we board. The take it again that midnight, so not to feel the Gulf stream.
I have read so many TRs about people missing dinner the first night because of seasickness. We've never cruised, so I don't know if we're particularly prone, but I want us to be protected just in case.

My son is 10, as is his cousin. There is also an 11 year old and 13 year old who will all be with us--yes, all boys! I will see if I can get him to chat on here this week!

Woke early..hot flash! (aren't I too young for these things??!!)
Seasickness, good topic...
I used the patch last cruise, Dan used nothing. I was only queasy the day we had moderate (7-14 ft.) waves. Nothing serious. Patch was wearing off that day, too. Dan was green that night, but only when we were up high and forward. Patch did give me dry mouth, I believe. I have bad stomach, so live on Prilosec (no joke, daily on docs orders), supplement w/ Pepcid & Tums when needed (don't need em so much now that Prilosec has saved me!)
I bought ginger pills cuz I've heard those are good. Have heard Benedryl for kids (weird...but a docs rec). Have to have that for Jack. I'd rather try seabands for kids. Hopefully it won't be an issue.
Well, better run.
Kris

Karen: Chicken's came in the mail today!!!! Love them!!! We owe you more money for mailing costs don't we :confused3 Please advise or your first round of drinks is on me :goodvibes

Also guess what we got our Magical Express luggage tags too!!!!

Okay, now I have to pack and leave, no more work, I have all I need to go on vacation. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: If only I had 3 weeks. Next time I'm taking a week off before, wouldn't that be heaven!!!

Packing update. Got the kids done. (and made a spreadsheet with outfits for each day, kinda freaky huh?) Gotta do ours starting tonight/today.

Okay reality sets in, have to go post a payroll now...

Nan

Paul asked me if I was doing the chicken dance....hmmm many meaning there huh? :rotfl2:  :rotfl2:

Sooooo - Where's the picture of the sleaaazy clothes?

Does it count that I'm thinking about what to pack?

Went to a skating Xmas party this morning, going to one Friday morning & another one next Monday night. I'm practicing how to party. (they say practice makes perfect)

They came today, via DHL. No one was home and they were "Signature required" so of course, DHL just left them anyway.

Hooray for failing to follow directions!

Jim

Welcome to all the people new to the thread!

A big hello to everyone else  I hope this post finds everyone healthy and happy. Of course, how could we not be happy with this wonderful cruise coming so soon!?!

I had to fly back home last week, so I just finished catching up on all the from the past week or so.

Can't remember who asked if they were going to be the only one in floor length (Aisling?), but the answer is definitely no. I have been wishy washy about what I was going to wear for formal night, but was pleasantly surprised to find that one of the dresses I bought for the last cruise (and didn't wear) still fits, so I'm wearing it! Its a bright red, full length satin dress. It has thin shoulder straps, but I am wearing a sheer black tie jacket over it. I'm wearing my pink polka dot dress for semi formal, and I have two black sweater/skirt sets for other evenings. One has a sequence collar and the other a faux fur collar.

Karen, we got our t-shirts today. They look great! I love them. We are both using the XLs that we bought.

TORI- I have an extra t-shirt. Its a size large, but you're welcome to it. You can get it from me at the swap, if you're interested, or you can swing by our cabin sometime and pick it up (2576).

Way too much to do before cruising, so I'll close for now.

Bye for now,
