:cheer2: Yay! Another year younger and ever more beautiful!

Happy Birthday Dede!!!!

Hi, all

I had posted here shortly after we made our reservations on board during a cruise in Aug '04. This board has just been too active for me to keep up.

Anyway, we just made our final payment today, and we're looking forward to starting to plan this cruise. Our son and daughter are interested in e-mailing with kids of their age -

Lianne is 13 and Eric is 11; they will both celebrate birthdays shortly after the cruise, so she is closer to 14 and she is closer to 12.

I think that Eric would prefer to have another boy for a penpal. Lianne, however, would be happy to correspond with either a boy or a girl, but I'm not sure she'd want me to say that! :love2:

If someone has a son or daughter about that age, send me a PM and either give me their e-mails or, if you prefer, I'll give you their's.

Dan

Hi DannyB-I would be the organizer for this little group and below I listed some details about those who are floating around in this thread for you.

We Welcome All with open arms :grouphug:

Welcome Back!

oh yeah! And we're doing a swap the first night we're on board together ::yes::

All of us are bringing 25 (very small) items that represent ourselves to put into the swap boxes, lunch box size. Nan and I will fill the boxes and put them out for everyone at a meet we'll set up for the first night onboard. Each person that participates gets to choose their box.

it doesn't have to be store bought, some of us are making things to go into the swap boxes ;)

Wanna join in?

Do you think concierge can fix your ressies for you - you are paying a bundle to stay there and that is there job right? It can't hurt to ask.

Kris: Feeling any better today? We're almost at the official 90 day mark :cool1:

I have yet to get over to ebay to check out cruise clothes-I think I'll just hafta hit the stores in Orlando & see what they have left from summer...ooh! And their flea market too!

~I got payroll to do-should be doing~

I'll be lurking and working :moped:

We are definitely looking forward to the trip. I haven't done anything to get ready, in fact we haven't really even thought about it. We are hoping it is a nice escape from reality aleast for a couple of days. The girls still do not know about it. I think they may figure it out once they see me packing. I am trying to think of a way to tell them. I was just going to tell them we were going out to dinner then drive to the airport. Any ideas would be great!

Dede - Melting Pot tonight? Now I get why the slurge!!!! Happy, happy, happy!!!

DannyB - hello :wave2: My DD is 17, trying to get her on the boards, looking forward to hanging out in the Stack. Pehaps we can start a thread for the kids .... and BTW Tig is 100% correct, we are NUTZ. We were locked out of our other thread, so you missed everyone's baby delivery stories!!!

Tig and Shelly - I am so jealous - here is some PD for a wonderful trip. :wizard: As Spoke once said, "May your journey be free from incident."

Does anyone remember getting to R in the hurricane list? P&PD to all of them.

Dede, You silly girl...HAPPY BIRTHDAY (did you not tell?) :bday: :cake: :thewave: :rockband:

Okay, Tigg we all need help reading, :magnify: don't just balme it on Aisling she was just brave enough to tell us to fix our darn posting... We are have those young, oops older eyes. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

#9, what the heck was it....you think I can remember anything from last night...(checking post now) yes good idea, he does cook, you knew that right???? You're leaving the important planning stuff to the expert huh?

Karen, come Parasail with us...The more the merrier!!!!

Shelly, have a great trip. My kids were telling their friends the other day about our suprise trip frpm July 05. It was so great to hear that they really loved the suprise part. We gave them their ears in the car on other suprise(for DS bday in Feb 05) that was neat because they wore them the whole trip. Hug to your sis for me.

Hey Dan, Glad to have more people in our little Dis(sey) group. We are crazy but it's all for the Mouse, gotta love that Mouse. My kids are littler than yours, but I know when we all met they are going to go crazy for all these teenager types. They have older cousins and love hanging with them, hero worship, ya know! Not to worry, I expect most of the time they'll be in the clubs.

okay, must find seom grub and take a nap.....

Ly, mi

Nan

Before I go to work I check my e-mail (at 4:50 am est) My goodness I saw you were still on line. Wow.
I will put down 10:30 parasail time also but I can't ressie for 3 more days. :confused3

Did you get what I sent you in the mail?

:rotfl:
Jesse's a video gamer and all around cool dude. -
Tig, you just made Jesse's day!

And Birthday Girl Dede!!! :love2: :cake: :thewave: HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you're enjoying your day. Make the most of it; I LOVE birthdays! And Grim is so sweet for announcing it. I hope he gives you a diamond necklace with matching earrings tonight! Best wishes!

As Spoke once said, "May your journey be free from incident."
Karen, what a small universe! Spock said that, too! :rotfl2:

Thanks for posting Brittany's graduation photos. Another milestone. I can't wait to meet her.

dannyb, my son will be 13.5 on the cruise. I'll PM you his email, because I've had no luck gatting him to post here more than a few lines. And if I know Tori, she'll probably love the idea of having a penpal.

Tig, I sent you that photo of the nude old couple. Nothing xrated, just naked! Then you'll REALLY ROFL when you imaging Chad's expression when he saw it!

By the way, parasailing is tons of fun. I thought I'd be afraid of the height, but we did it at the Contemporary, and it was really fun. But after a while, it kind of got boring. I guess they had me up there so long, that I had enough of enjoying the beauty of the view. I wanted to get into the parks! But I'm sure you'll love it, and won't be as unappreciative of the view as I was. Just remember to do the Peter Pan thing when you're up there..."I CAN FLY I CAN FLY I CAN FLY"!!!

I don't know how to send the photo. It won't paste on the Dis email site.

Karen, what a small universe! Spock said that, too!
 I am so careful to proofread my posts .... must have been in a hurry!!!

out of my mind, yes...I was with you at 4am whatever for my PS ressies, but I have to admit that I have seen that I'm always online, I think that since I have DSL and I'm too lazy to close any windows (no one uses my pcs but me) that I'm not really always online just looks that way.

Jill, not yet. But mail is coming late this week our postman must be on vacation. I tell ya when "the chicken is in the cupboard" (don't think Spock ever said that one)

Grim, while you're getting that necklace and earrings get two, I'll have Paul pay ya back for mine. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

okay, now for real. Paul is good about jewerly for me. He let's me get whatever I want, but since I'm such a snooby person about jewerly (well, that's not really true...) I like to have a few fine pieces & fun stuff for play dress up. I'm in the hunt for a big rock to upgrade my engagement ring. I figure 10 years is a good time and what the heck we can always pay for retirement and college from the money growing on the trees in our backyard..... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

He tells me we'll be looking for my Xmas present on the cruise....that is ok, but what if I don't find anything that I want???? We need a backup plan in place. Haven't figured that out yet.

So, the parasailing thing....I started flying small airplanes when I was 15, fly on and off thru college up until I was about 26. It was hard to afford while paying for school. Then got caught up in mortgage, husband and baby. I have a love of the air. I think this parasailing will be a blast for me. I love the rush of taking off and the buzz you feel after you land. Every muscle in your body tells you that you just had a good work out. I need that!!!

Gotta add some carrot and potatoes to the roast in the crock pot...it's the first day of fall ya know....

I love to fly too. I had one lesson after grad school and was in my first 'real' job. I figured that I was goig to be rich, so I would finally be able to afford my PPL. Aparently, I was mistaken :rotfl:

I actually landed the plane completely by myself on my first (and only) lesson. I'm a natural, I tell ya. I'll get that license some day...

It's such a great feeling flying in the air all alone. I have never had such a feeling of accomplishment until I had the kids. (I mean, birthed the kids)

I think in the back of my mind I'll fly again some day, but had to tell too old now, and don't think I'd pass the phyical. At 15-17 you haven't a care in the world, at 19-22 when I really started again I was very serious about accomplishing it, but just missed getting my license. Passed the written test did all my hours and hood work...I have over 100 hours now, but never took the practical exam. Fear of failure at an early age. I think I just spooked myself. I had a bit of a scare on my long cross country and had a long conversation with a NAS(naval air station) that talked me to my next stop, then freaked myself out so bad I called my instructor to drive over and fly with me home. He wasn't too happy...2.5 hours to drive to get me(of course a friend had to drive him since he had to fly home) wonder if I ever said thank you enough for that. Every time we drive to Disneyland I cross thru the San Luis Resivor and remember that time.

But that thrill never leaves you. I thought of it again last weekend when Wilson was driving the kart. Quite a rush for a 5 year old huh? Funny, wonder why my friends questioned why I'm letting him drive ,yes I'm a meddling over protective mom, but...I was a thrill seeker in my younger days.

I hope someday you get your wish and fly into the clear blue skies :goodvibes

Nan

p.s. I like yellow gold, 18kt, thanks ( :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

Aisling: Pics HAVE to be supported on a website
before it'll go thru the dis-I'll PM you my regular email addy, send it to that.

Nan-I scanned our photos from eating in the castle-

I'll post them now and go home to read what you all wrote while I was doing payroll today.

Mind you, this was from 1993 and things may have changed just a little since then...
