Christmas Cruising 2005

:bday: :bday: :bday: :bday:
Happy day, Dede! I LOVE fondue! (Gejas in Chicago is the BEST)
Grim...be good to her! :love2: :p :rolleyes1
Aisling--LOVE the joke on Chad! :rotfl: from what I hear, that is pretty accurate...kinda like a cruise. Not a lot of pretty bodies, but PLENTY of not so pretty ones!
Tig--1993 pics! blast from the past!
Nan--are you already on Xanax? You are nearly manic on these boards! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
dannyb--got a 10 year old son who probably would LOVE to correspond! I know how to respond to PMs, but not sure how to do one to someone who hasn't PMd me! SO PM me!
Today better. Taking my vitamin might have helped! I did freak at Dan this AM cuz he shrunk my 2 new sweaters! Not a lot, but just enough...felt bad. Realized it had more to do w/ not losing weight like I want to, not him or the sweaters. SERIOUSLY considering a tummy tuck before the cruise! I did say I wanted one for my 40th...but if I have to give up a trip...tough choice! I hate to give up a party!
Well, TTFN!
Kris

Wow, two airplane flyers in our group! What a cool bunch we are. Grim, I hope you get the chance to continue with lessons, because dreams are made to come true. And Nan, your adventurous spirit is such a good influence on your children, I'm sure. There's a big exciting world out there, with so much to do, if only we DO it. One thing, though...Chad found a website that offers tandem skydiving on one of the islands, and he's been wanting to do this for a long time. I'm a little nervous about it, but I think I'm going to ok it. I've read you have two parachutes in the pack, both with three separate pull-cords in case something gets stuck. Those are pretty great safety measures.

I really haven't mentioned anything definite about our excursions, but tonight I'm going to go over everything with the family and make some decisions. We were supposed to have a "family meeting" a couple of months ago, but never did. so the time is now. I'll post what we decide, and see how it meshes with all of yours.

Karen, tell your mom not to worry about you forgetting about your family because of all your Dis friends. First, we all want time alone with our families, and second, when she meets us, she may want to be an honorary Diser, too!

I mentioned a thousand posts back that I was thinking of having my eyelashes dyed, since I don't like to wear makeup (rarely ever do) and my lashes are blonde thus non-existent-looking. So I made the appointment for this weekend. Wish me luck, I'd die if something went wrong and my eyelashes all fell out. But I think they'd grow back in three months in time for the cruise, wouldn't they??

Chad took my laptop to work (he works at our parish rectory) to watch DVDs, and he'll be home at 8pm, so I'm going to get some house work done now and then relax later with my own computer. I'm not used to Dising at a desk, but instead I get into bed with the TV on and the computer on my lap. It's the best toy I ever bought! And I only have 13 more payments! :rotfl2:

BBL :sunny:

Wowee, I was just about to sign off and then saw your pics, Tig! Precious! You look like one hot mama in that mini dress! And tell John I love his socks! :rotfl:

Kris, if you want me to send you the pic, PM me your email!

Signing off for now for real! BBL :sunny:

Happy Birthday DeDe :cheer2:

Let me tell you how really diversified we are. When I worked for the military I not only fixed tanks, howitzers, personnell carriers I drove them.

We have relatives in HOuston I sure hope they are OK. I tried calling my niece there was no answer. Good sign they didn't stay. :wizard:

I stocked up on gas today. By doing that last time & riding my motorcycle. This is the first time since the last hurricane that I bought gas. But, the prices are supposed to go up again.

Aisling, I watched that plane land. I think I was actually holding my breath.

I think that is one of the worst traffic jams I've ever seen in my life.

Some one upstairs is trying to make this country strong.

Jill

THANKS for all the birthday wishes! :sunny:
Grim is currently fixing dinner for me. We're not going to the Melting pot until Sunday, and, Nan, while I did not get a diamond necklace and earrings, I did get what I asked for.... a sewing machine! My MIL taught me how to sew this summer, and I wanted my own machine. So now, I'm going to try to make a couple of skirts for the cruise with these really cute materials I found. I also got a birthday tiara and earrings :goodvibes

Aisling~ I wanted to go to Orient Beach, too, but Grim and I WOULD be the chubby older couple...hehe

Tig~ I love the pictures of your kids at Cindy's.

WELCOME DANNYB!

I'm going to try to really read through all of this week's posts this weekend. I haven't had much time to do that this week, but I'm not doing one bit of work this weekend. :p

Well, in-laws will be here for dinner shortly.

bye for now!

Jill, I'd say you are the most diversified of us all. I know Tig must be so proud of you. :goodvibes

Aisling~ I wanted to go to Orient Beach, too, but Grim and I WOULD be the chubby older couple...hehe
:rotfl2: Dede, that's what I was thinking about me! Facially, I look nothing like the woman in the picture, but she has my body!! :scared1: PM me your email and I'll send it to you, you'll get a chuckle. As I mentioned before, it's not x-rated, just naked.
I also got a birthday tiara and earrings
Bring the tiara on the cruise! I wore mine everyday at WDW last summer.

Tig, check your email.

not in rare form tonight, just tired.....signing off until tomorrow and I'm well rested.

(ok, just pushing my post #)

N

p.s. Tigg, Our husbands would get along based on foot wearing attire in public places....

p.s.s. Jill your chicken's in the cupboard....but no tickets yet....

Tig: Great Pictures!!! They are old, they are old - it's working!!
Jill: You are my idol! I want to be just like you when I grow up!
Dede: Your evening sounded just wonderful and as I mentioned before, I love when my birthday lasts a whole weekend.
Aisling: I must PM you, this must be some picture!!!
Nan: You are a wild thing.
Kris: Glad you are feeling better.
Grim: A Tiara - nice touch!

Last weekend of the Gypsy. I am catering the cast party so I will be busy this weekend. It is always sad when a show ends. In the theater, you become a family after working together for so long and putting it all out there for the audience to enjoy. It is a rush, I must admit. And I DO love it! In fact we start with the Lindeburg Trial on Tuesday already!!! That will be it for a little while. Next we will work on the school musical and that starts in January.

Happy Autuminal (sp?) Exquinox everyone. I love the Fall. Today would have been my brother's 53rd birthday. I miss him.

God Bless America!

Marcus was in the bathroom for part of the night, so we are home today.
He seems OK now...that's OK, I could use a catch up day!
Grim & Dede--you are NOT old! (I cannot make any valid comments about the chubby factor...and I shouldn't, since people who live in fat bodies should not comment about others bodies!)
Aisling--I am sad & pathetic.HOW do I PM someone who hasn't PMd me? If you PM me, I can respond!
Nan--Xanax wear off??!! :goodvibes
Just read the blog of the gal from New Orleans who was at Provo when I was. WOW! They returned to their home to collect/clean a bit. Personally I would have skipped any cleaning and strictly worried about collecting. But it seems to be a surreal experience all around. One tip--if you must leave your fridge w/ no electricity for several weeks, DO NOT open it. Duct tape it shut and haul it to the curb. Apparently insurance has said they will not replace it. She described it--and frankly, it is worth paying out of pocket for new one. Unfortunately she realized this after trying to clean (w/o running water!) it for some time. Sounded like a very good horror movie! Gives me the heebee jeebees just thinking about it. YUK!
Well, gonna try to be productive. Nice thing w/ Marcus, I can go run an errand for an hour and he is fine alone (as long as he can call me).
Date night tonight! :love2: Don't care what we do, just need some one on one time w/ my hubby! :lovestruc  (He agreed to the tummy tuck...I know, you all think I am insane! Maybe I am!)
Bye! :wave2:

I think I'll post some more pics to bump this up :)

Aisling--I am sad & pathetic.HOW do I PM someone who hasn't PMd me? If you PM me, I can respond!
Kris, I sent you a PM! Be prepared to die laughing when you see the picture and imagine my son opening it expecting to see hoochie mamas! :rotfl2: But it really did come from Orient Beach!

Nan--Xanax wear off??!!
No no no, Xanax calms you down, not pumps you up! OMG if it pumped you up, I'd never be able to get on a plane! It takes the edge off your nerves, without making you dopey.

Tig, again, I love the photos. Your DFIL looks like he hasn't aged a day since then! I love the one with Brittany standing in front of you with your hand on her arm. Pictures like that make me wish I had a little girl to go with my two boys. And AJ was cool even back then when he was a little guy!

He agreed to the tummy tuck...I know, you all think I am insane!
Holy moley, are you really getting a tummy tuck??? I am SO jealous!

My FIL does look exactly the same ::yes:: just a hair more grey tho (pun intended ;) )

Kris! For real? I honestly don't think I'd ever get plastic surgery done. Just can't handle going under the knife-I'm a chicken butt when it comes to surgery.

Aisling, My son was an angel, the perfect baby, always happy. So when we decided to have number two we thought she'd be the same...NO WAY! She even cried with attitude, she was always getting into stuff, always a handful. I love her to death and she's actually got the better attitude of the two now. But BOY! When she was a baby she was a challenge.

Karen: Have a great time this weekend, I know you'll be super busy but I know you'll enjoy it.

My PC at home is being rediculous again-it won't let me on...I am leaning towards MSN tv again it's so bad.

~Hi Nan and Dede and Grim and everybody! Hope to be on but no guarantees~

Aisling(& Kris): Yes it(Xanax) does take the edge off, but it can also make you less inhibited...hence the chatty mouth I've had. No I've not been on drugs, just on that I've stayed up too late high and overwhelmed with real work to do so avoided it while chatting with you all.

As you see, I've been really working today, well I did have a great lunch with a dear friend.

Tigg: I'm showing the pictures to Molly to tell her that is your DD, I think she will think that she will have another girly friend to play with, not to worry I'll then show her the grad shot...that should put it in perspective. & my my you were a hot mama back then. I've never looked like that since I had babies....That was my look in college, before babies...

Kris: Hat's off to you for the knife, I'm like Tigg, total chicken butt for surgery. First time I went to the hospital (other than when I was 2) was when I had my babies. Hope to never go again, gives me the hebbie gebbies, fear of loss of control. (ha me, never)

back to the salt mine....

Nan

p.s. Karen, have fun this weekend, savor the moment.

:rotfl: Dede, photo sent!

I'm showing the pictures to Molly to tell her that is your DD, I think she will think that she will have another girly friend to play with
Nan, that's so cute!

And Karen, you really sound like you LOVE what you do, even though it's so much work. I imagine the Lindburg Trial to be an intense production. When will it be performed?

Nan, that's so cute!

ya, but kinda mean don't ya think, of course not as mean as sending old fat naked people, but still....we are kinda mean moms huh? Except Jill, she seems a little too nice.....

N

old fat naked people
The funny thing is that that couple isn't that old OR that fat, but to a 19 year old, it's "disgusting"! :rotfl: Oh wait, he said I was disgusting for sending it! Welcome to the real world, my darling son. :rotfl2:

Nan, please don't think I'm a dunce, but I have a question about the gift exchange. We each have to get 25 items for each of our boxes, or 25 items to be distributed one to a box?? I'm beginning to get my items together.

only 25 things....

225 would be alot, dontchathink? :confused3

btw, where are you getting 225 rats anyway???

you're right we are not old and fat.....(oh you meant those people in the picture) maybe we are old and fat. No that can't be it, I remember Tigg & Karen told us we can not be old, if we say we aren't old, so I think that means the fat thing too..we are not fat... if only it were that easy.....

Have you seen the movie Criminal? I'm watching it now, pretty good, about a con job...I think it's a con doing a con on a con. not sure yet.....

Bye,

N
