Quick note while I am getting my $152 in United vouchers...Finally!
Tig--(Kris is fine--family & friends usually call me Kris) I LOVE teaching! I especially love the upper elementary grades. You can discuss wonderful things w/ them, most still like learning, and I just like giving them lots of grief! (flipping sh*t probably isn't appropriate her... :rotfl: )
Aisling--I'm a slide/leather flip flop girl, but tennies for walking on ports, usually; I feel your pain about paying too much!! You KNOW I do! (how many times have I griped??!!)
Nan--Shut up, shut up, shut up! But really--have a "Magic"al time!!!!
Gotta get to class.
Bye! :wave2:
Kris/Kristin

I will be wearing sandles. No, sneakers. I mean sandles. Wait, I can't afford excursions, so I'll be barefoot on the closest beaches.... :teeth:

Anyone wanna see my 4th of July shirt?

Cool Shirt Grim!!!

 Happy Thursday

I just looked at your countdown...

6 months
1 week
and 1 day more people!!!

:boat: :cool1: :sunny: pirate: :3dglasses :cloud9: :grouphug:

Kris: No No & No :rotfl: Thanks for the ribbing I'm in the middle the onset of a mirgraine and I needed to have someone make me laugh.

Grim, you are too cool for school & that shirt ain't bad either :cool1: Happy 4th of everymonth to you.

ok, into the house to take some drugs, DH is on his way home to be my driver for the afternoon....

wish me luck with this darn headache :sad2: at the graduation...this afternoon.

Nan

Grim, COOL SHIRT!!! :cool1: I love Ebay, even though I'm in debt because of it. And Grim, even if you don't do any formal excursions, you'll be getting off the ship at pirts, won't you?? I was wondering if there's a lot of walking and if I'd need to bring sneakers. I'm not a sneakers kind of girl, so I hope I can get away with some as comfy as possibble flip flops. My feet sweat and then it makes my whole body hot, so I have to wear as little as possible on my feet.

Grim, just curious, but do you have a Mickey bathing suit? My boys want to know.

Nan, :wizard: for you headache to disappear. Take it easy, relax, remembner you're a pampered princess. Now only to find someone to pamper me. :rotfl:

Anyone have any pictures to post? I miss looking at new pics. I'm going to try to upload some tonight.

Kris,
flipping sh*t probably isn't appropriate her...
save the funny stories for the cruise, after a few drinkie winkies, and we'll have a ball laughing our heads off.

Tig, 6 months to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need more time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

Suuuuuure Ais: Liam’s cool and handsome…

http://bestof.provocateuse.com/show/liam_neeson

Did you get and email confirmation from where you ordered your Crocs? I would check that if you really want to cancel that original order…just a thought.

 It’s nice when others recognize us for the little things we do…as your friend said, turn away noone who shows an interest. My first instinct would be to question why she’s decided to change her ways at this stage of life…but you didn’t do that :teeth: You went straight to Yes ::yes:: I will help you. That has got to be why you are thought of so highly by the church.

My Excursion shoes? Let’s see…Sandals for the beach at St Maarten, Sneakers for hiking on St Thomas and a combo of water shoes and sandals for CC. I’m thinking sandals won’t survive the  boat ride.

Nan: I’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling well…I hope your :headache: goes away quickly. I had a doozy all morning and it’s only now subsided…Me thinks it was a payroll headache ;)

You sound like you have soooo much fun going on in the next couple of weeks…by the time your weekend is over, you’ll only have a day or to before you head to….DisneyLand!!!

It’s a good thing when a computer DIES :badpc: and you have no worries cause you have a great backup system…could you imagine if you had to rebuild everything??? That would really bite.

:rotfl2: shut up?

I think BE QUIET ALREADY!!! Would have sufficed ;)

:rotfl: jk….Enjoy DL for all of us Nan! We’ll be getting our own little taste of Disneyana soon enough…I want pictures!! Posted pictures ;) You’re halfway there lady…and of course a (doesn’t have to be a book) trip report upon your return.

Kris: Class is over for a while now right? How are those natural disasters working out for you? And congratulations on getting your $150 bucks back…good job! It’s the avid planner that gets the cash! I never would have guessed that they would adjust a price like that…I always figure that once you buy it you’re stuck with that fare…I’m glad to see that’s not the case.

Pictures??? You want pictures??? You got it...

My son, Adrian...thinks he's Spriderman up on my roof...

Sorry about the headaches girls--I get a migraine about once a year (usually after a stressful event, like my wedding!). Here's pixie dust to help you feel better! :wizard:
Pleased I got the credit from United, but I was glad to have finally used the vouchers I had...here we go again!
Tomorrow is last day of Natural Disasters class. Kids were squirrely today...I thought, funny that usually happens w/ barometric pressure change...go figure, here come the storms!
Nan--I'm worried. Just watched a video about the Northridge earthquake and the new conclusions the geologists got after that...3 California earthquakes in one week is so unusual. BUT they have been "moderate", so hopefully instead of a big one, just some smaller ones to relieve pressure. I'm off to research...see what the geologists are saying...
That being said...DISNEYLAND, DISNEYLAND, DISNEYLAND! (But I wish you were coming to Provo to scrapbook w/ me!!1 :goodvibes )
Off to research!
Kristin

Suuuuuure Ais: Liam’s cool and handsome…
Don't tell anyone, but I crave Liam. He's not the handsomest, but there's something about him that makes me swoon. And if I were younger, I'd go for Matthew McConeghay (sp) in the movie Contact. His character Palmer Joss is just my type. But Liam realy does it for me.

I have to shut down the comp for a while. I'm having a serious lag problem.
BBL!

Do you remember the Friends episode where they each created their "List".
(the people you could "do" should the opportunity arise, no questions asked)
Frequent topic of conversation at parties.
My list was constant for many years, but has taken a major revamp in the last couple years...
1-Patrick Dempsey (not until Grey's Anatomy--the boy has aged well!)
2-Tim McGraw
3-Will Smith (LOVE the new album)
4-Brad Pitt (never a big fan until I saw interview before Troy--SMART man, hot, too)
5-Matthew McConaghy (sp?)

Meg Ryan used to be DH's #1, then it was Faith Hill; not sure who it is now, maybe Martina McBride, though I know he is into Alyssa Milano (I remind him that he is old enough to be her father!!!!! OK, barely, but it's fun to rub it in!)

At one time my list was Michael Jordan, Will Smith, Grant Hill, Blair Underwood, Denzel Washington...Dan was getting a complex w/ that list! (Especially since his roommate/best man at our wedding was black!!!!!!!!!!!!) Blair Underwood might be #6 after his Sex in the City scene...OH, WAIT, I may need Mr. Big & Aiden from that show on my list, too...this is NOT good that my list is longer at near 40 than at 30!!!! (PS I don't think I had a thing for black guys, really, I just didn't find any hot white guys for a while!)

Liam is not bad...foreign guys can be VERY hot (anyone see Under the Tuscan Sky w/ Diane Lane--HOT HOT HOT Italian guy!!!)

OK, now that I have chased Grim away again...hey, the list can be men or women! (As my SIL said--"Hey, Faith Hill is so hot, she's on MY list!" Oh, yes, the boys' eyes lit up w/ that one!!! :smooth: )

Well, need to go finish Dan's Father's Day scrapbook.
Ta ta for now!
Kristin

I never really made a list...but I'll give it a shot :teeth:

Johnny Depp, esp after POTC
any hottie with an accent
Brad Pitt, most DEF
I'd prob like Dempsey better if his character wasn't such a jerk-JMHO

And Liam and Blair...I can agree to their handsomeness...

My guys have to be "real" that is prob why I won't say Tom Cruise...

DH likes classic beauty...
Victoria Principle
Jane Seymour
Giselle Bunchen
Alyssa Milano

No worries, I won't tell, but what about the 70,000 other people reading this right now ;)

Last year I found sandals made by Minnetonka...

I have almost the same problem with wearing sneakers on a warm day. I'm also allergic to latex, which pretty much eliminates all flip flop wearing for me. (There is latex in plastic.)

So I found these leather sandals made by the same company that makes moccasins. Very nice, indian styled, leather, strong ... shoes. I tend to beat the crap out of all my shoes but have managed to keep these in good condition for almost a year now.

I wear those and a pair of Enzo's I found in NC last year, my Enzo's were only $20 :earseek:, those are my semi-formal "dress sandals."

I'll probably still need a real pair of dress shoes for formal night so I'll be checking the outlet stores for that this summer.

:hourglass

Actually IN CLASS--kids doing online survey.
You really think Patrick Dempsey was a jerk? Not my feeling...although dissappointed w/ very last scene of last show!!!!!!!!
FUNNY that our hubbys both dig Alyssa Milano--
Gotta go!

He seems to be a cold character...

I saw the scenes for the next season, after the finale, and they made it seem like he is going to, rather rudely, "Dis" his girlfriend on the show.

He's cute, but I tend to react to people/stars, based on their character personalities :confused3

I think our hubbys, regardless of age, know a good looking lady when they see one. My DH is like me in the fact that he likes "real" people...he's turned off if they're too hoity toity.

Oh yeah!! He also loooooves Cindy Crawford, she's prob his absolute favorite.

nice to see you sneakin in while the kids are busy ;)

1-Patrick Dempsey (not until Grey's Anatomy--the boy has aged well!)
I went to high school with Patrick Dempsey! I was a senior, he was a freshman, and he was new to NYC after moving here from Maine, I think. He became my "big brother" because we were both in a specialized science program where I was the only girl and all the boys used to make fun of me. I have to dig through my old photos, he is there somewhere!

My list:
Liam ooh baby Neeson
Matthew McConaghy, but only his Contact character
Michael Crawford

I love Orlando Bloom, but he's way too young for me.

DH has a thing for Ann-Margaret in her younger days.

Did anyone see the movie Rob Roy? Liam is so hot, the way he makes love to his movie wife Jessica Lange was a beautiful, sexy scene. Nothing graphic at all, just romantic.

Another star tid-bit is that Chad went to junior high school with Michelle Trachtenberg. I almost ran her and her mother over when they were crossing the street. And one more, my BIL is an extra in the new Tom Cruise movie War of the Worlds. BIL is gay and said he was close enough to Tom to pinch his ***. My nephews had lunch with Steven Spielberg, with a whole group of kids who were performing for him at the "wrap party".
Wow, I just thought of JFK Jr. I used to see him all the time rollerblading around. He was a very handsome big guy. So sad.

I'm on the laptop, because I'm having computer trouble. My screen comes up with no shortcut icons, no Start box at the bottom, nothing but the wallpaper. I have to go try to figure out the doggone annoying problem.

BBL!

 Hey Aisling...

That is sooo cool!! I guess that is the perks of living in Manhattan!!!

I wish I could help you with your PC dilemma...my computer does that sometimes, I shut the power off and reboot and it usually fixes itself...

Well, I did it...

I just booked the kids flights to come home from Florida in July :teeth:

Adrian, Brittany and Adrian's girlfriend Cate are going...I found a direct flight from MCO to Norfolk for $90 each, total.

My Mom is driving down to FL with them on July 22, checking in at SOG on the 23rd. They'll spend the whole week there. On the 30th, my Mom will put them on a Delta flight at MCO which drops them off in Norfolk.

DH, me, the dog, my girlfriend Rose and her family are driving to NC-OBX that same day...Norfolk is on the way down to the Outerbanx, we simply have to take a right at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to get to the airport...pick up the rugrats and head to the beach!!!

We have the house for two whole weeks but Brittany and me will come home a couple days early so she can go to the Warped Tour on the 12th. I went last year and will probably buy myself a ticket for this one too. It's an all day event with many many stages and lots a bands. Pretty Cool...these people even set up a parent's tent with movies, free water and air conditioning...I'll hit that once or twice that day too.

Our NC house is gonna be sooo awesome, Rose put in a "few extra bucks" so we could have a hot tub, a private pool and be near the beach. She took us there about six years ago and we have been down there for at least a week, every year since.

Aisling: I've been thinking about our mini-meet at SFGA...

I have one pet-peeve with that park, I don't like it when it's hot. So...

Do we wanna wait til September/October to have our meet? Maybe a day of Fright Fest?

I've also been looking at meeting places...

for the cruise. I started a list today of all the different places that DISers have had meets. I'll be "throwing" those out at everyone in the near future as well.

What lucky kids! And I'm happy for Adrian that he doesn't have to go on vaca without his sweetheart. That $90 each is fantastic. You're going to have an awesome time. :bounce:

NASA2003.jpg

Here's a photo I just scanned from our 2003 July 4th trip to NASA. Chad has lost 40 lbs since then and wears contacts now. And Jesse is as tall as Chad now.

Sorry this is so big...I'm trying to make it smaller!!!!

That'll work for me. I'd enjoy it better in cooler temperatures!

Tig, how do I reduce the photo I just posted??
