That's one dream portions of it can come true. Several times I talked to our Captain. He was quite personable. When we were docked in Miami watching the Wonder pull in I was standing next to the Captain. I told him we should play the ships song. He laughed & agreed but it was too late. :rotfl:

I believe Jiminy Cricket said something about dreams coming true. :wizard:

I believe Jiminy Cricket said something about dreams coming true.
A girl can wish, can't she?? :bitelip:
I know one of the captains is a good-loking man, I can't remember his name. I'm going to go to the cruise board and do a search. I know there are pics posted somewhere. Jill, what was your captain's name?

Tigg: I'm way north of the earthquake....hmmmm 500 miles or so????

Jill: I thought you were going to say that some of the convicts would have wanted to have MJ, not his lawyer....ohhhh bad humor I know, late in the day.... :rotfl:

Aisling: What a great dream, next time make all of us on the ship with you then it will be REALLY great :goodvibes Can't believe we are going in less than 6 months!!!!!

DH made some BLTs and corn on the cob for dinner, better go and eat now.

Ciao,

:wave2:

Aisling
The Captains Name is Tom Forberg. He was always referred to as Capt. Tom.
Nan
I'm sure one or more of the convicts would like to have MJ.
Jill

Jill: Scooter Kitty is so cute. :goodvibes Who will babysit while you are on the cruise? I'm hoping that I can get my parents to house sit for us while we are traveling, but not sure about that yet.

Went out the movies tonight, saw "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" Good chick flick. I went with a friend of mine from Las Madres. We have this playgroup that has been together since '97 when DD was born. Mostly consists now of three families with the 3 - '97 girls and 3 - '00 boys. The movie makes us (my mom friend and I) think of what our girls could be like as teenagers. Seems forever away, but I know that the last 7+ years went by in a flash. The next I'm sure will go by even faster.

On that note...off to bed.

:wave2:

Cute Kitty!

The picture of Scooter in tha bathtub reminds me of my Nala. She would ONLY drink out of the bathtub faucet. I had to get her a 'kitty drinking fountain' to break her of it.

Awwww, my new little brother :teeth:

Smart kitty likes Disney already :)

Aisling: :rotfl2: LOL! A pet would be a good distraction...I didn't want to specify cat or dog, that would have been bias on my part ;)

Nan: I was pretty sure you were too far north to be affected by that last quake...good to see it confirmed.

 Hi Grim, Franco, Kristin, Kandice...and all you thread lurkers out there :moped:

2 days of intense teaching (enrichment classes are "on" for most of the day), plus ball games both eves...I'm on my way to bed! But hadn't read in 2 days!
Tig--no tornadoes here! Yippee! But the class I am teaching this week is Natural Disasters, so I am knee deep in tornado facts this week!
Nan--Was "Sisterhood" appropriate for 7 year old? DD wants to see it
Headed to SLC/Provo for Creating Keepsakes University. Went in 2001, 2002 & 2003 (was in NJ during 2004 one), so back again. Hooking up w/ fun gal I met 2 years ago. Classes for 2 days, shopping the day before (and whenever we can sneak it in between classes!) I consider it mecca for scrapbookers, but apparently many stores have closed in the last 2 years :guilty: including my fav :confused3 Still, many favs to go see & they usually have good deals and goodie bags for those of us at CKU.
OH TICKED OFF! Booked SLC trip last week--$500!!! Guess what??!! Prices back down to $350 this week!!!! Going to call refund dept. tomorrow. Hopefully I'll at least get vouchers out of this! Or I may never fly United again! (a bit tough since only 4 major carriers out of Lincoln! Of course bankruptcy could make this all moot!)
Well, stick a fork in me--I'm done!
Night! :wave2:
Kristin

Now I'm sure you heard the latest news....big one way up north (almost near the border of Oregon) then a small one around Santa Rosa, (about 2 hours north of us in San Jose) we even had a Tsunami warning for the coast for about 30 minutes. It was a bit creepy and I have to admit, it seems like we might just get one close to here. The weather is also turning rainy, from warm...which is "earthquake weather" (this really doesn't exsit, but it is commonly referred to when it is humid and gloomy here since it rarely is)

I'm wiped out tonight. DH & I just spent about 3 hours cobbling together a costume for DD for tomorrow school event. They've been studing heroes and she will get to portray Florence Nightingale. She is wearing a gray dress with white collar (mine from high school, hand made by my mother) a white apron with a felt red cross sewn on it then her old Madeline coat drapped over her like a cape, with red crosses sewn on the ends, lastly a Krispy Kreme hat turned into a nurse cap. It really looks cute! Almost forgot she will carry her nurse's kit from when she was little girl  I'll take pictures (always do) and really I'll get them on here somehow (even if I have to email them to Tigg to post for me)

Gotta hit the hay..nite nite :wave2:

Nan

Kris, sorry I forgot to answer your question. Totally not a kid movie. I wouldn't take DD for the following reasons....implied teenage sex (not shown), death of young character, direspect of feelings shown between parents and children, sucide of parent...does that list sound bad enough? The movie was great, and I loved the books, but I'll hope to wait until Molly 7 (8 in July) is older to share this set of books with her. I think all the topics are good to keep or open a dialog with a parent & child, but for a teenager not a little girl. Now go see it as a mom, it was really good to see what a teenager of today (or perhaps of what ours will be tomorrow).

Really to bed now...

I just thought I would check in with all of you. I read all of
your comments, in fact you are having to much fun for me to interupt! So,
just keep it up! We are getting closer, I have bought our insurance, so every-
thing is on go! :earsgirl: :smooth: :bounce:

Nan--I am teaching a class on Natural Disasters, didn't catch the news this AM, and someone told me about the earthquake/tsunami warnings at noon! Great for teaching! (someone also told me there was a 9.7 in Chile...haven't been able to verify that one!)
DD wanted to see that movie..oh, well, Hillary Duff is coming to Council Bluffs in August--am trying to convince the neighbors that we should all take our daughters. That should take her mind off (figured the Dads/sons went to KC for Royals game, we should be able to do this!)
Gotta run to library for stuff for class tomorrow!
Bye!
Kristin

Ok, this will be a new one, so just bear with me.

Step 1.
save the pictures from the disk into a folder in my documents (I think you know how to do this, but if you don't I can do a step by step with this too)

Step 2.
Open an acount with photobucket , you will wonder how you ever got along without it.

Step 3.
Load the pictures that you want to post into photobucket. (this is really easy, it is self explanatory, you just click browse and find the folder and click upload, easy.)

Step 4.
Under the pictures there should be two boxes, one box has the url and one has the IMG code. Copy the box that has the img code.

Step 5.
Paste what you have copied into your text.

I don't have examples, but if you want I could probably make some. I can expand on any step if you need me to. just ask.

I had to print the last page worth of notes from our thread so I can play catch up again...

We've made it over another hump Christmas Cruisers!

I can't believe the 7.0 you had yesterday only had two lines of information on the associated press' page. Are earthquakes that common where people stop paying attention to them :confused3

I visit other threads...

Gee, no surprise there...:rotfl:

aaaaaaaaaany way...

I visit with a group called the threadkillers...

The Peanut Gallery said:
what's a threadkiller??? :confused3

...I will tell you if you'd let me finish....:guilty:

The definition is in the skill...we like to talk, well write...aaaaaaaaanyway...we like to write and continue conversations but have a hidden talent for being left hanging...on a thread :rotf2: bwahahahaha...I crack myself up ...ahem, pun intended.

The DISboards have a place, where the threadkillers go, and share their talents, and highs and lows and pictures and trip reports in a neverending world where we'll NEVER be left hanging by that inevitable thread ;)

So join me, if you will, in a world known only as....(insert lightning and thunder smilie here)....da da dummmmmmmmmmm... the twilight zone......da da da da da da da da daaaaaaaaaaa...

Kristin: Is it Kristin or am I allowed to say Kris :confused3

I think I would truly enjoy being a teacher, it's only hard for me when the teacher has to also be a disciplinarian...I have patience for children but will probably have to limit myself to pre-school! Most kids haven't developed an "attitude" yet in pre-school ;)

$150 airfare difference!?!?! Did you get your credit? Hope so...

Nan: Earthquake weather...that's cute...it's probably the looming feeling in a rainy muggy day that probably provokes that kind of thinking, eh?

Good Job with the costume!! True scrapper skill going on there, ya think ? :teeth: Take the pieces and make her whole!

When in July is your Molly's birthday? Stefanie is the 6th and Brittany is the 31st.

Hi Franco!!!!!!! Long time, glad to see ya! I figured you've been lurking out there.. busy with the family...

Kris: If you need a news link, I use the Drudgereport. com ...if it doesn't have a breaking story...it'll have a link to it. I used the AP Reuters links to get my news. It even connects me right to the Orlando Sentinal when I need Disney/Florida stories..

 Hi everybody else lurking out there :3dglasses: I seeee you...

Hi Gang,
I'm so pissed right now! I ordered a pair of purple Crocs to wear to work. They're really popular with the docs, so the the nurses and thearpists are catching on. Well, I ordered a pair online, got a message that they're back-ordered, and then found them in a local store for $15 less! So since they're back-ordered, I decided to email/call the online place and cancel my order, telling them I need them now and since they can't provide, I need to cancel. But I can't find my invoice, and I don't remember where online I ordered them from, so I can't contact them! Oh well, I have to pay that extra $15 that could have gone in my cruise jar.

Tig, just curious, you have a Johnny Depp link, and I want to ask you what you think of Liam Neeson.

Jill, I saw your pic of Capt. Tom, but I don't think he's the guy I've head about. He's a cutie, but I don't think he's the "handsome one". But I may be wrong. I don't know why I have handsome guys on my mind
lately! :goodvibes :rotfl:

Something interesting at work happened today. A resident (Jewish, multiple sclerosis, bipolar, confined to wheelchair) expressed an interest to the visiting priest that she's interested in becoming a Catholic. He told her he'll have someone meet with her for religious instruction, and guess who that someone is?? Moi! I'm happy to do it, because I've always taught Catechism to children, so this will add another dimension to my experience. I can really get into it more deeply, depending on her level of understanding considering her mental disabilities, but the priest says that no one can be turned away if they express an interest in our religion. At first I thought I'd be too tired after working with the vent patients all morning, but it'll work out. I feel good that the priest has confidence in me. :goodvibes

About the cruise, will you all be wearing sandals or sneakers on excursions?

Thanks Tigg, got my account opened at photobucket, I'll try to get some stuff loaded tomorrow...but I'm deep into last 2 days of school, newphew's graduation from high school (thursday), other newphew graduating from police academy(Friday), then we are going to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk after school is out (friday afternoon), oh yeah, 1st birthday for our dear friend's little guy (saturday), then Sunday is Father's day of course. OH yeah...I need to PACK FOR DISNEYLAND...and of course admist all of this, one of my computers for work, is dead. I think the harddrive fried. Not as bad as it sounds, since it is really just my access with a VPN to the server which holds the real work I do on the accounting database. Just bad timing as I need to get a new hard drive installed and get it running before I leave for DISNEYLAND okay ramble ramble ramble...Molly DOB July 23rd..... I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND....

time for bed.
