Grim : I owe you a drink....you just saved me +$100 on disney loot. I decided to splurge (again) and get DD the Disney computer (we got DS his in Feb '05) it was even more on sale now and I got an extra 15%. :worship:

And I finally got to use that cute icon above :goodvibes

Back to finish up my cart.

BTW, since we all have matching clothes (not just the family, but the DIS group) I think we need to pick that outfit for our group pic.

I got the same style shirt(the first one in your message) for DH (& of course got the matchies for the rest of us)

Better work to pay for this stuff.

Ciao,

Nan

Ok Grim: You are 2 fer 2 2day. I decided to get off my behind and look to see when our passports expire and much to my relieve it's only DD who is out of date. The rest of us are good to go. I figure it is not worth the hassle to not have hers ready (just in case) Now I know that will bring many of you to say....but you could spend that on Disney related stuff, but I figure if we all have passports then whenever someone from out of the blue tells us we need to join them in an out of US vacation we'll be ready. Ya never know, maybe one day it will happen. A person can dream, right?

I showed DS his passport and he said "that's when I was a baby" yup and a really cute one you were

Okay, I'm really needing to calm myself from my shopping buzzzzzzzzz    because we are going to see the SF Giants tonight!!!! (against Cincinatti) I know they are in a losing streak but maybe we'll cheer them out of that??? :cheer2: This is the first game we've taken the kids to. The tickets are outrageous, unless you are lucky....like me. Our neighbor works at Yahoo! and they have an internal board that people post stuff on, so I got 4 bleacher tickets for $64.00. Believe me that is a steal. If you try to by them online now they run $50 a ticket, for bleachers. I tell ya California is pretty whacked when it comes to some things... houses, baseball...oh yeah but we do have DISNEYLAND!!!!!! Yes I'm getting jazzed about the trip. It is so hard for me not to tell the kids. I want to share the fun.

The game starts at 7pm, but we are taking the 3:47pm train up there (SF by train is ~1 hour from SJ) Might as well make it a whole day event.

Really, I got to go back to work...

GO Giants!

:wave2:
Nan

I looked at the first shirt for my DH and the third one for my FIL...

I like em but am determined not to shop anymore until this last set of orders all come in

I will be waiting til Fall to determine if I will buy our passports...

My summer's gonna be too busy to take $200 out of my own pocket for "just in case." And as I keep falling back on the comment I got from DCL direct, they will tell us if we need them.

~Happy Friday All!!!~

Looky what I scanned today :)

My Brittany has the tan mickey bucket hat on, Stefanie is the blonde to your left...

Was gonna get those Tiki shirts for Dan & the boys, but not sure if M is big enough for Marcus, so scrapped it!
Came running to the boards to brag about my good deal, then see the 15% off discount code.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!
Oh, well, life will go on--I still got good deals!
(Hmmmmmm....maybe I should go buy some more stuff.....! :flower: Yeah, spend $ to save $!!!!!!!!!)

Called Disney today, said I didn't get my discount code in...they made the adjustment! Cool!
So even w/ shipping, I got the kids each 3 Disney/Xmas gifts for about $30 each! Sweet! (Plus a couple of goodies for myself! princess: )
Am finishing a Father's Day gift for Dan--a scrapbook of his 40th birthday trip to Pebble Beach (2 1/2 years ago!!) It is turning out really great! It is a 6x6 album, with about 60 photos. Did about 1/2 yesterday in 2 hours, should finish today as Dan & Marcus head to Scouting overnight. Hailey has an overnight this evening, too....now, if I could only get rid of Jack... :earboy2:
Well, should try to accomplish a few things today!
Maybe a bit more shopping.... :p

MORE Pictures???

We've lived in our current house for 3 years, and just finally got the backyard landscaped. Why bother with such trivial things like landscaping when there's Disney trips to be had?!?!

before:
44641245.jpg

during:
44641246.jpg

after:
44642074.jpg

Please don't make fun of my little patch of grass - we live in a desert you know!!! :sunny: :teeth: :sunny:

What a gorgeous bedroom--you should be a designer on Trading Spaces!
The landscaping looks great!
We are big rock fans here in the midwest where mulch is king. DH hates it flying into the yard, I hate anything I have to replace every year. The rock always looks so tidy. Then I fill in w/ easy care plants--hostas, daylilies, and a few other low-maintenance items that I don't know what they are! (they were here when we bought it--can ya tell I am NOT a gardener!) In fact, there is an odd plot in the back of our lot. One corner lined w/ railroad ties that seem to be bolted to the ground. We don't know what to do w/ it. It is maybe 6x12, small tree at one end, peonie bush midway. I tried a veggie garden last year, but I'm not too good w/ the upkeep... :confused3
It is so odd...not in a corner, just smack dab in the middle of the lot against the back lot line. We may need a professional for this one--probably just right before we sell someday! :teeth: (yeah, when I win the lottery!)
Well, kids want to play poker...am I a bad mom? NOOOOO, I'm playing games w/ my kids, right??!!
Ta ta for now!
Kristin

Grim: tres chic. Your room really does look like a professional did it.

Whenever I see places like this I wonder???? Wear do these people store all their crap? You know the stuff that just piles up and then turns into a mountain of crap ? Okay maybe this only happens in my life. Ha, I know that is not true since I've seen close friends and family members houses too that have that crap of pile stuff going on. I'd like to clean up and decorate our bedroom into something that is retreat like, but that would mean I was admitting that we are staying in this house and even after 7+ years I can't admit that. Half Moon Bay take me away.

Kris: Congrats on the savings. I have a story to tell on that too. I was almost at the Gold level of shopping ($3K per Disney lifetime) which you get free shipping before this last order, actually only $25 away, so I thought I'd try to see if they'd give me free shipping (the order was rather large due the computer) but I didn’t have luck since the order was “too newly” placed. I may try on Monday to call and ask them again, it is $25 for shipping that I’d rather not pay.

Going on to craft another post of our Game Night (with pictures if Tigg will walk me thru) so check for the next one out shortly….

TTFN,
:wave2:
Nan

Grim: Great job on the heaboard, bedroom and backyard...they all look great, you should be proud of what you've done.

I spent a lot of today reading my new DCL book and watching the video...It gave me goosebumps :teeth:

Kristin: I also am fairly good at gardening, get me a pic of your problem area in your yard and I'll see what I can suggest to help you.

Nan: Ask away, I'm ready to post pics when you are ;)

TBJ got her new kitten...Scooter came from the animal rescue the other day, he's a 3 month old blacky. :wave2: Congrats on your new baby Mom...hope he's doing well today. Did he pass his exam at the vet unscathed?

~Tigger~

Grim, your bedroom is beautiful! Those poles looked hopeless, but you obviously knew what you were doing to make them look perfect like that. I wish you many romantic nights in that lovely sanctuary.
And I hate to say it, but I did chuckle at your patch of grass! Gotta have that grass, even if it's a small amount. And I should know, living in NYC where we call a patch of grass a lawn. Did you do the landscaping yourself? I love the stones.

My guys are watching the Tyson fight, and I'm hoping the Irish guy wins. Tyson is one scary character! I can't wwatch fights, can't stand to see people get hurt, so I'm listening for the shouts and cursing from downstairs. But now they're all laughing their heads off. :confused3

And I want you all to know you cost me $69 plus tax and shipping last night with all the disneydirect talk! I couldn't let Grim's code go to waste, so I bought the Mickey napkin holder, the paper towel holder, the men's swimsuit with the Mickey on the leg ( :rotfl: nevermind  ), and the blue foldable sports/picnic/beach chair. But I NEEDED that stuff, really!!! :badpc:

Did anyone watch the Belmont Stakes today? I was driving a friend home this evening and he lives, guess where, at the Belmont exit in Queens, and the traffic was horrendous! I've never seen it so bad, not even during the world series at Yankee Stadium. It was a very exciting race, not that I'm into horseracing, but I love to jump on the bandwagon just for the excitement.

Jersey girls, how's the weather where you are? It's been cloudy all day, with a brief thunderstorm, and I'm wondering if we're feeling Arlene's effects up here.

:earseek: <--------what is this smilie used for?????

We've got the hot an muggies here...we got a quick downpour yesterday, but that's it.

Which SixFlags did Chad go to?

I like horseracing, watching not betting.

I'll play poker or blackjack too...but I like to keep my cash in my pockets.

I didn't even know Tyson had a fight tonight? How'd he do? If they're laughing, it must be over ;)

:earseek: is a good smilie for OMG!!!

 Tigg.

Chad did indeed go to the Six Flags in Jackson. Sorry I missed answering about this!

Tyson lost!!! :rotfl2:

Do you ever go there?

It's just a short backroad ride from my house...

DD is a season passholder there...

Go Irish Dude!!! Tyson needs to retire ;)
