Grim and Dede, I got a little package from Costco today!!! I almost fainted, because I thought they were sending the docs already, but it was a very nice planing book on the excursions, what to pack, what's allowed, immigration info, lots of cool stuff. AND I got my ressie confirmation for AKL! Woo hoo!

Aisling ~ we got ours the other day, and I've already been all through it! I just can't decide on excursions, especially since the champagne catamaran doesn't seem to be an option. :confused3

Nan ~ please pass this message along to Polly (i can't speak "bunny")

Hi Polly
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
You're in our thoughts & prayers.
Dede & John

Two questions for now...

Do you have any DCL guidebooks?

Have you seen the Navigator's?

I'm hoping to do the French Riviera Beach Rendevous in St Maarten
beach time and lunch included for $45

and in St Thomas I want to go up on the skyride, do the aviary and some shopping...then maybe go find blackbeard's castle.

on CC I promised Aisling one ride on the banana boat and then I'm finding a hammock by the volleyball area/outdoor arcade (Pool table) and Bar. :cloud9:
I'm sending the two 17yo girls with me on the Wild Side. A teen only excursion that includes snorkel, kayak and biking.

Thanks for being a good sport, Tig!

Be ready tho...If I like it we may go twice

You game?

:earseek:

Is that counter really down to 122 days?~!?!?!?!?!

We're gonna be in double digits in no time :dancer:

doin the almost double digits dance :dancer:

nskjerven: I'm so sorry to hear about your dear bunny's tough time. We lost ours to flystrike this summer. I will be praying for your bunny and especially for your daughter.

Don't think too badly of your border collie(we own shelties). His/her job by nature is to keep his area free of varmits and strangers. Dogs of his breed are specifically bred for their desire to protect their flock, which in this case is you and your family. Even if he knew that your bunny is a pet, it is difficult for him to go against his natural protective instincts.

Hi 3x , long time no see! How's the family? Did you see Tig's post above? We'll be in double digits soon!

Is any one getting my posts?? I am not getting notifications in our email that there have been new posts. Just got home from the playhouse and there were 2 more pages. Is any one else having problems??? Is it me or should I be paranoid??? :confused3

Thwarted in Three Bridges!!

(Night all)

Hey! We're all fine. I have only had time to lurk lately. DH has been on board ship. He returns from Italy on Wed..

We are now up to 5 pets. We have one dog, two birds, and two guinea pigs. I have managed to arranging pet sitting for all of them for our trip. They are headed three different places, but I'm just glad to have it settled.

I was so excited to get our excursion info in the mail. My sister and I are narrowing down our choices. I had them all picked and then changed my mind for all of them. :rotfl:

Thinking:
St. Martin-beach day renting waverunner.
St. Thomas-snorkling for men and older kids, Atlantis sub for women and 5 year olds
CC-parasailing(not me, problem with heights :teeth: )

Is anyone nervous about getting their pick of these or Palo's? We can't book until 75day mark since we are first timers.

I need to lose 9 more lbs. to fit into my dress. I think I can. I think I can.

I noticed mice have been a recent topic. We had one while DH was away. My sheltie saw it first and went on a night long hunting trip for it. I found droppings under my kids beds/crib, in one of my drawers and in my bed. :scared: I caught one in a trap and thought my troubles were over. Well, I caught its "friend" the next day. I found a small hole by our back door(bi-level). I plugged it up and had no more problems.

I promise to keep in better touch. See you later!

3x, so glad to see/hear/read you again...we missed you while you were lurking.

Yes my dear BC, Jenny Rose was just doing her job, I know who couldn't herd her way outta a paperbag. The sad part is that the other BC, Casey (also a female) is so gentle that she can be left alone with bun bun no worries but she is a really good sheep dog.

Thanks and :grouphug: to everyone else, I lurked all day looking for the encouragement and found it many times and many ways.

Exhausted and going to bed now,

Nan

I know what you mean about gentle. Our current black and white sheltie. Grooms our new guinea pigs. I think he thinks they are puppies. :rotfl2:

NYE @ La Nouba, 9 o'clock show---so far; Mom and me, Skjerven family
-Grim and Dede you in?

I checked on these tickets last year and I'm pretty sure we'll see the schedule about 90 days out.

Flemington Meet-Lunch Instead?

Karen, send Aisling & me your ideas for a restaurant in your area worthy of a mini-meet in November.

Cast Member suggestion-Ostrich Trail

The smell and sound of buses is not my idea of relaxing
I've added 3rd floor and possible early check-in to my list of requests of AKL. If I check in early AND bring goodies who knows what will happen ;) :wizard:

My plans change all the time :)

It's part of the process...I keep myself informed and listen to what everyone else suggests and adapt. Stiff planning leads to miserable travelers.

Aisling: My Christmas Eve outfit will be casually festive.

I  Love the holidays! I still plan on wearing my Tigger get-up to the terminal, stripping down to a swimsuit til it's time for the drill and change into something pretty and festive for dinner. Not formal, just festive-esp since the "formal" will be the next night.

Reposting pictures is fine with me...

I've seen them before but I have the address to your photobucket...there are so many cruisers in and out of our thread others may not have seen it yet.

:wizard: P&PD for calm seas for Dede

And the rest of us...I know I could handle a calm sea, but rough ones aren't my idea of fun...except for maybe being out on deck and watch people as they swagger...:boat:

:cheer2: Welcome Aboard Dede :cheer2:

Glad to have you here with us :cool1:

I'd never have guessed grim to be shy-he sounds like a great guy, I can't wait to meet both of you.

All of You!

I read a thread about the last night of the cruise and a tear almost came to my eye :sad2: This is so exciting, planning this trip with everyone here...I know leaving the boat will be one of the saddest of my Disney Days ever...

Thank you Grim!

For bringing Nan over to us...I think that's the first Nan ever mentioned of how she found us.

Karen: Tell Dom Hi :wave2: for us

He's a lurker huh? Tell him Grim needs some more testosterone in here. Mel, Paul, Dom...and all the other hubbys out there...lurking is fine, have your wives throw us your two cents once in a while if you're shy.

Your pirate costume idea is great! So simple to do! I';m still gonna check Hot Topics clearance racks to find a "blouse" but the rest I could find laying around in my house. :hyper: I'll check the halloween outfits for some beads for us to wear...I saw some with skulls on them in NC but they were already "worn" so I'll keep looking.

I have a few with skulls from a Halloween Horror Nights I went to at Universal...I'll check there too since I'll be there for halloween again this year :cheer2: There I go jumping in my chair again...:hyper:

I'm back. I wanted to stay in touch with everyone, especially now that the cruise is getting closer.

When I first started chatting with you all, I think my family thought I was thinking a little too far ahead. Now my mother is planning her wardrobe. She asked what you ladies were bringing. :teeth:

I told her what a few of you have mentioned about capri outfits or sundresses for dinner. She has a very dressy full length dress for formal night. She wanted to know if she would feel out of place or "showy". I told her to go for it since it will also be Christmas night.

DH agreed to a tux. The boys have black suits. DD's dress is black with a little metalic gold in the bodice. My dress is cream. His only dark suit is navy. He liked the idea of renting a tux. Since he will be handling the luggage, I think he liked the idea of having one less thing to carry.

We got the kids passports. I know we may not need them, but we got them just in case. My mom wants to take our oldest to Europe someday, so it is worth it for him. DH and I already had them. Our county opened an office right in our local shopping mall. Their hours are 10am to 9pm. This was sooo convenient.

We might get family reunion shirts for boarding. If you see a large group wearing matching shirts, I'll be the slightly frazzled woman with her husband telling her to relax and let him handle the kids.

Kandice: Check my link in my signature-the Family shots from NC

~I'm the one with the long, darker, curly hair~

Alot of what I wore will be the same for the cruise. Summer dresses and shorts for the daytime. I have a couple skirts and a nice dress to wear to dinner. (Need two more dresses -semi formal- and my formal.) My formal will be as long as I can get with sequins..gotta find one yet tho ;)

I see you're in Pitman, any chance of having you join Aisling Karen and I for a mini-meet in north jersey?

Mom-you're invited too ya know

wanna come to a mini-meet ma?
The more the merrier!

Is any one decorating their table for pirate night?? I have read so much about it on other threads? Just wondering. Party City has the beads and tatoos every one mentioned and I though I could order glow in the dark necklaces from Oriental Trading. We once found glow in the dark straws. Thought they'd be fun for the deck party. pirate: Let you all know if I find them!! Tig, do you have a head count???

Flemington is not the mecca of dinning!!! We have the usual Panera, TGIF, Chili's and Applebee's. There is a pretty good BYOB pizza and pasta place. Are we still shopping?? I didn't mean to discourage that! Dom will want to meet you all too!!!

I hadn't planned on decorating the table...just myself ::yes::

The glow straws and glow necklaces sound cool...I have my glow cube from 50sPTCafe/MGM and play with it all the time. :drinking1

I have the eyepatches and I'm deciding whether to do magnets, pins or buttons with the pirate designs I picked up in NC. and as I said a little bit ago, gotta have beads! I also read that the cruise supplies the bandanas.

You name the place Karen...

What do you like to do that you thinks we could spend the day doing? Enquiring minds....

I'll have to go thru and do a head count

I'll get that to ya a little later. I've been waiting for an oriental trading book to come in to check out lime green leis. As they say in NY, we'll tawlk!

I think we are going to try to get into MK for NYE. I know it will be a mad house if we do get in, but what the hay! We haven't ever seen 'special' fireworks in the MK, we always end up in Epcot, so it's something I'd like to see. If we can't get into MK, then back to Epcot!

grim pirate:

I just looked at my who's cruisin list and lost count at 50!

There's alotta people mentioned on our thread...not sure if we'll see them all on the ship tho.

About the beads, if we have that many people I was thinking of checking oriental trading for those too! That way I could buy bags of them and share with everyone.

I'll fill you all in again after I get my catalog.

~TTFN~
colleen.

I'm thinking about my button/pin/magnet craft...I'm gonna make pins...special pins...as many as I can make so's to outfit everybody with a pin pirate:
