Christmas crowds this year??

OK. After reading many posts on xmas crowds tell me what you think about my trip plans. One option is DEC 14th to 22nd, the other is DEC 16th to 24th. Is there really going to be a huge difference in the crowds and when. Thanks.

I would go with the 14-22 Dec dates. The closer you get to Christmas the larger the crowds get. You'll still have to deal with some crowds probably picking up around the 19th but by then you'll have had 5 days of relatively lower crowds. If you go the 16th through the 24th it will be more crowded for the better part of your trip. Better to go when the majority of kids are still in school and since most schools let out for Winter break at the end of the school day on Friday, Dec 19th, going the 14th you'll be there before them, get most of the good stuff done and be ready to leave when it gets more crowded
