In 1992 I recall there was not only MVMCP but also a large Christmas Character Dinner event (I've forgotten the official name). I was held in the convention facilities at the Contemporary. Food was served family style and there was a show about 45 minutes long involving a large number of characters.

Does anyone else remember this? When did they stop doing it?

I fondly remember this, but the name of it also escapes me at the moment.

It was a wonderful show with performances all around the room so, no matter where you were sitting, some part of it was near you. The dinner was quite good.

I don't recall when it ended. :(

WAIT!!!

I just remembered, it was the "Jolly Holiday" package.:D

I considered posting this on the restaurants board because it had to do with dining; but it didn't involve any particular restaurant. I posted it on the theme parks board because that's where most topics go concerning holiday celebrations. I never even thought of posting it on the resorts board...

We went to the Jolly Holiday dinner in 1996. What an awesome show...every year I check to see if maybe they will bring it back.
The characters were so amazing. I fondly remember my favorite part, when the Wooden Soldiers come marching down the walkway. :bounce:

Thank you for bringing back a great memory! :)

My family went to the Jolly Holidays show in 1998. I think that that was the last year that they did the show. I thought that it was great for the kids especially. We have some very nice memories of that night.
