Christmas At Disney

Was wondering if anyone had experienced Disney at Christmas time. What is the weather like? Are the parks really busy during this time? Does anyone have information on MUST SEE, during this time..

Welcome. Yes, the parks are very very busy during christmas week until new years. In fact, its disney's busiest week of the year. Must sees are mvmcp (christmas party) at MK, the candelight processional at epcot, the osborne lights at MGM and the parades at MK, MGM and AK. If you haven't booked yet, I'd get on the phone asap. Many hotels and restaurants are completely booked already. I would go before or after christmas to avoid the horrible crowds. If it gets bad enough, they close the park down after a certain amt. of guests have entered.

Bring light clothing and warmer clothing as well. Florida weather is volatile around this time of year.

See Osborne Family Lights if you see nothing else, but try to see the Christmas Parade as well. Depending on when you come, the only time you might be able to see it is at MVMCP unless you catch the taping.

The first part of December is less crowded with crowds increasing more and more until the 23 up and then it goes into complete madness.

The week before Christmas is great. We were there last year and crowds were light right up to Christmas Eve. We are going again this year from 12/21 thru 12/25. But since Christmas is on a Monday this year I think the parks will start getting busy around Saturday 12/23. If you go that week don't waste your money on MVMCP since all the shows, fireworks and parade can be seen during regular park hours.
As far as the weather goes be prepared for anything. Last year we went completely unprepared for the cold. Take it from us, when the sun goes down it can get pretty chilly waiting for Illuminations to start.
