Christmas and New Years, A Disney Bride's Family of 4! My PTR 12/26-01/03, POR...

My favorite DVD!

I've been in my classroom getting things ready, too! I met with my new principal this week and the room was a wreck. I promised her it would be clean before school, lol.

I worked last Saturday for 8 hours and just got home from working 12 hours in the room today (with 2 hours on weekdays here and there) and I am STILL NOT DONE!!!! I have tons of labeling and curriculum to work on! Yikes, changing to a new grade level in a new room on maternity leave was not the best idea, but I am stoked to teach K! Good luck with your room, maybe you could post some pics, I love getting new ideas and seeing other teacher's room.

So time for another update...
My mom watches my kids during the school year and she came over today to go over the school year calendar with me. She wanted to see when her days off this year would be. So as I am looking up our winter break dates, I notice we don't go back to school until the 5th of January! WHAT?! I look again because normally we have to go back that Monday after New Year's. Yep I saw it right, so immediately I go to price how much one extra day would be with room and DDP (since we already had enough days on our ticket to do one more). It is about $267 more dollars. Not a HUGE problem, but more money is more money. I am adamant about having this extra day because I was already feeling rushed with only 5 true disney days (the other 4 we are driving, 2 days down, 2 days back). Ok so we are doing this extra day no matter what. We are right now staying at POR, but I did look to see the cost of POP (where we stayed last visit for Bella's 1st time and we loved it). Staying at POP would actually save us $578.56. I will for sure keep that in mind, but stay with POR for now. DH was seemed really excited to stay at POR when we 1st decided on it, but I know I have some safety with the trip (with POP) if money gets tight when it comes time to pay.

I have decided with my extra day we will sleep in from our late night at Epcot, eat a breakfast/lunch at the resort and head over to the MK for the rest of the day. Because that is how any WDW vacation should end right?!! At the most magical park of them all! Oh and we decided to have Bella get another haircut when we go down from the Main Street Barbers. That's where she had her 1st haircut and never had another since. Now we'll have to go down each year, because that's where Bella gets her haircut!! :rotfl: I also went ahead and made Dining Reservations for dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern that day! What a good day! :yay:

I've been slacking...
I have been thinking about how to get everything packed in the car, and I started looking into stroller rentals. There is this place I found called OrlandoStrollerRentals. Has anyone used this before? They deliver the stroller to your room and pick it back up at the end of your trip. Sounds like a good deal to me. I am looking at the Baby Jogger City Mini Double Stroller. I like the way it folds up so easy and reclines back for naps!! Does anyone have this stroller or used it before?

Kammie :wizard:
We rented that very stroller from OSR last trip. Very similar to my double stroller at home and love but folds down a little more compact. OSR is great. Our stroller was waiting for us when we arrived and then we just left it there when we left. Very convenient. I am sure we will be renting one again for our next trip.

Thanks! I have been looking around more and found magicstrollers also. They have the same stroller and it costs less. Have you heard of them?

Hi! I am joining in! We are also going in December and we were there in December for our Disneymoon. That year, it was crazy cold at Disney. I remember many CMs were wearing heavy, wool coats to combat the heat. Being from MI we didn't think it was quite THAT cold, but we did have on multiple layers.

I don't know if you've read Brookelizabeth or Brooklynnsmom's trip reports but they did a DISmeet on the Poly beach for the NYE fireworks last year. They looked awesome from that location! Plus, with the Ohana ADR you have before, it's a perfect combo!

Love th girls and the clothing you have bought already. I need to get moving on that!!

Good luck with the new school year and with Kindergarteners!

Ha Ha... I know.. I'm just anxious to hear from her since I'll be there at the extact same time!!
