Christmas!!! Am I CRAZY!?

DL at the holidays is my favorite time. That being said, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and Boxing Day (the 26th) are all super crowded. I would go a few days before that block of 3 personally as the days leading up to the new year are often all equally busy. My birthday is on the 29th and I've gone then to be told the parks had hit capacity. It's not a fun way to arrive on a special day. The week before Christmas will be far less crowded. Still packed, but not to the same intensity. The only time I have ever seen it worse was on the 24 hour party for the 60th. We go in November now. It's still crowded, but not as bad. And the decorations are still all up.

My birthday is on the 28th! I wish we could go a different day but I am planning on being in CA on those days. I think we will book a breakfast early before the park officially opens so we get in before the huge crowds. Then plan on eating quickly and hitting the big rides (HM, IASW, JC because they all have the holiday overlays) right away and grabbing fast passes for the afternoon at CA Adventure. Then I am considering a WOC dinner package but still on the fence if it's worth it. I've found if I mentally prepare for the worst I do alright on crowded days. It's all still better than spending the day in below zero weather in MN!

How is the week before Christmas? Does anyone know? We want to go the 17-22. Will it be crazy?
