Christmas all year long!

Your PTR was tough to peace this all together...it took me forever to find the clothes your mother was wearing! :rotfl:

Hey Ann!

Popping in and trying to catch up and realizing I missed a lot!

I'm glad all is well on your side of the country!

Well, you did good.

Hey Ann!

Popping in and trying to catch up and realizing I missed a lot!

I'm glad all is well on your side of the country!

Na... you didn't miss much. I mean... still planning...still waiting... so nothing too new. ;)

I thought I was close enough to start to play with ridemax so i went ahead and paid for my subscription. Wouldn't you know, it is only set till the end of November. :headache: Oh well, a couple more weeks and I should be able to tinker more. I was happy to see that they have a beta mac web based application out now. I hate to run parallels on my mac and then windows.. :sad2: This will be far easier. Course, I can see why they have not made it a web app before now. It takes my email addy and password and i can get in via any computer and make itineraries. It would be far to easy for a combination to spread on the internet and have people able to get it "for free"

Another thing happening is that I keep getting notices that Zoe and I have had our return flight changed. They guys...while on the same flight have not received anything. (remember I booked them direct with the airline and then Zoe and I via Orbitz) Steve thinks that maybe a different flight opened up and they bumped us. I hope that is not the case. Bare minimum though, it is getting a bit confusing as to what our flight number is.

And last, I know I was suppose to set a plan up for our day 4 of our trip.(yes, last sunday) I have it about ready to go, but I wonder if I should just wait to post it until I can get an itinerary through ridemax.

None trip related.

Steve and I celebrated our 22nd year anniversary on friday. It was pretty non eventful. We were going to go to a dinner and movie. I haven't been feeling well so it was hard to decide where to go to eat. We settled on a place that had Steve's favorite food. (Pho) We should have had plenty of time to eat and then go to the movie, but Steve's dinner arrived about 30 minutes before mine. Can you believe that? I sat while he ate cause my food was not ready. Good thing that the food I got was actually pretty good cause between really having two separate meals (Steve was done about the time I got mine) and the fact that mine came when we should have been heading over to the movie so we missed the movie.... I would have been :headache: but... I guess everything works out and in the end staying relaxed about the whole thing made for a pleasant enough meal. (even if it was really like both of us eating alone :rotfl:)

And... guess who comes back in just 3 days??? :yay: I am getting pretty excited. I have not seen my son in over 6 months. If I get a chance, I will post a picture of him in is more formal uniform. He is quite handsome in it...even if I am biased.

Happy Anniversary to you and Steve! 22 years! :thumbsup2

I hope yours and Zoe's flight is safely intact or at least the change was minimal.

Ridemax... do you prefer that to the touring plans? Or are they two completely different things. I recall this discussion a while back... I think it's either in your PTR or Tammie's.

Glad to know this...I am going to get a subscription as a weight loss reward when I get about 5 more pounds off...a couple of weeks. One never can do too much commando plan as far as I concerned! :lmao:

I want our airline issues to be done with!!!

Thank you. :goodvibes We have been together since I was only 17. Got married when I was 19...

It is really the flight numbers that have changed. The times have not changed but in minutes.. so hopefully nothing larger in the way of a change will happen.

And...ridemax or or touring plans. I think they are different beasts. however, I have never tried touring plans. I have been meaning to do so..but I know that ridemax works for us since I can totally customize it so I went there first. Just too bad it isn't up for my dates yet.

Happy anniversary, Ann!

22 years? Were you married when you were only 5? Ups, but then you have grown kids, maybe you were married when you were 15? ;)

How fun your son comes home soon! PLEASE post his photo - maybe you can get into it as well, the proud mom and son!

And I really hope your plane change "scenario" works out in your favour!

Happy Anniversary!!

I don't know anything about Ridemax. In fact, when I read what you wrote RideMakerz is what popped to mind, lol.

I use TP. Not for the plan making per se, but to see what the wait times are on the mobile device and the crowd levels for the day. It's getting more accurate now, but in March I was having to do opposite of what it said. It seemed too many people were following TP's advice and the best parks were crazy. We'd hop over to the avoid park and it was fine. Aug and Sept, it's been pretty spot on!

I also use EasyWDW and compare it to TP. When there is conflict I follow EasyWDW's advice, though in park I use TP's lines app instead of checking the tip boards in park. I discovered that for the most accurate times I have to scroll past the listed times and see what park guests are posting live. Those numbers are often different.

Happy 22nd Anniversary!!

Have no idea what ridemax is. With all the touring plans available I get all confused! Maybe by the time we go on our next trip I will be all clued in

Yay for Zach coming home :cheer2: Your family must be super excited!! I know how i get when I haven't seen my family for over 6 months, I tend to get a tad excited and end up driving my husband crazy with the excitement that I can't contain :lmao:

Hope your flight changes work out. I always get nervous with airlines, every minute counts!

:rotfl: Thank, Karin... but no I was married young, but not THAT young. ;)

I will post a pic soon of Zach.. I just need to get it on the computer. (he sent me the pic via txt)

And...as for the flight, I am sure it will work out. I think they can not change us too far outside the time we originally booked without offering some compensation. Course, after all that is going on for Tammie I am not sure how secure that makes me feel.

So with easywdw and tp does it give you an itinerary with times and what rides to go on?

I know... I have only used ridemax so I get all confused regarding the other options. I will figure it out someday soon. :goodvibes

I know I know... I have been really bad keeping up with this. We are nearing the end though...

Touring Plans has a bunch of different touring plans online. They have touring for each park. There is an area you can create your own touring plans. They have touring plans for families of small children, Tp for tweens, tp for adults, tp for seniors, tp for the whole family, misc. tp, and ultimate tp to experience every attraction in one day in one park.

There are many extras in TP too. You can use the phone app for lines, the crowd calendar, etc.

I found a discount code to subscribe when I did. I think it was either from a newsletter from Allears or Mousesavers.

Thanks. I have read through that a bit. Looks like it makes recommendations as to what park to visit and when to get there, right?

Right. That's all I use either for. I'm a local.

If you are looking for touring plans and times to be at attractions, then TP is more along that line. They also have a cheat sheet to print out and take with you for each park. Gives a color coded guide for the best times to visit attractions.

Well, I am definitely not following the advice of easywdw. It would have me not go to the parks I am scheduled for on the days I am scheduled. Hmmmm... I might have to change things around once ridemax is up for my dates. I would have to rework all my adrs. That could be a pain since I have quite a few of them.

Looking at TP... I think it is a little more like ridemax (maybe in the middle of both ridemax and easywdw) I could customize a plan a bit, but it is more a colored guide of a route to take and best times. (right?)

Now I am even more antsy to have my dates available on ridemax.

I really can't compare the two, since I'm not familiar with ridemax. Hopefully someone who has used both can give their 2 cents.

Their cheat sheet is a colored guide.

So I decided I would go ahead and post this dispite the fact I really should wait to see what ridemax tells me is possible. The other touring plan sites I think would suggest that maybe this won't be. However, I am amend this if I need to.

Also, I do a google search for images that I use in these plans. If any of you think that is not cool, let me know and I will remove them. ;)

Monday, 12/12

Waking up for the first time at WL, hopefully, we will be settled. Our bags should have arrived already and we should be unpacked.

Zoe will have had her makeover at BBB the day before and I really truly hope some of her hair will stay in place. If this is the case, getting her ready may or may not be an easy task. I also think weather permitting, this might be a good day to wear a special outfit. So if her hair is still up then it will be all the better.

Even though, I know we should hit the park for rd, the goal of this trip is not going be to go commando. So after we get up and ready, we will make our way to the park. I HOPE it is by 9am. EMH will allow guests to enter at 8am so maybe we will not be too much behind the crowds.

Our first stop will likely be to grab a bite to eat. We have ate at Main St. Bakery before and this is where we will pick up a pastry or two. This will use 4 snack credits. (40 left)

mainstreet_bakery2big.jpg

This will be our first of three full days we have to enter MK (not including the time at MVMCP) so there really isn’t going to be a need to rush around. As I mentioned, I will have to run it through ridemax to see how possible this is. There are some things we have to get in like Pirates, IASM and BTMRR. There are other things like Astro Orbitor that will not be high up on the list. Since this is a monday though, and we will have arrived after the crowds start to arrive, Fantasyland nor Tomorrowland will likely be where we start.

I would assume then that we will cross over the front side of the hub and enter.

Adventureland_01.JPG

Since there are not too many rides or attractions in this land, a main goal here will be to see the Captain Jack Sparrows Pirate Tutorial. However, given that this is the morning it may or not be going yet. I will have to check times for it so that I can make sure that we are there. Also I hope to meet some characters. Jafar, Jasmine, Aladin or Genie would be among the ones I might hope to find in Adventureland.

Zoe will want to ride this and I will go along for the fun.

Carpets_of_Aladdin_01.JPG

The guys won’t be into this and since we will be close, I am sure they will sneak over here

BCA403.jpg

and get one of these..

Walt%2BDisney%2BWorld%2BFood%2BAloha%2BIsle.jpg

Down 2 more snacks. (38 left)

Since the “new” Tiki Room burned down. I will want to see it restored to it’s former glory so we will have to stop for a quick show before heading to one of my favorite rides

images

My guess is it will be close to lunch time after we do a bit of shopping in Adventureland so we will pop over to

liberty_square_entry_01_bennett1.jpg

Where will we eat here? Well, here of course!

images

I am looking forward to this. I really like this place but have only been able to get anyone to join me once. In fact, the last trip with the guys, I ate here all by myself while they went to Cosmic Rays. (the infamous visit that landed Steve sick as dog all of our last night stay) I love the seating inside and I HOPE it is not crowded and that we get to eat upstairs. This will take us down by 4 quick service credits (40 remaining)

After lunch, we will likely spend some time in the square. Definitely we will make our way to

images

Even though, none of us really love it that much I am wondering if this will be a bit decorated for the holidays?

Liberty-Square-18.jpg

Maybe? Hmm, probably not.

In any case, we will also need to see the HOP before heading back to WL.

The rest of the day will be spent hanging out in the room
images

or at the pool

images

or maybe even the lobby.

images

I believe Santa will be in the lobby so it may be nice to go and spend some time with him.

images

It won’t be long before we have recharged and will be heading out to have dinner. We will take a boat to the Contemporary and then we will take the monorail over to the Polynesian. We have an ADR for
images
We will want to check out the Polynesian before we eat. I am not sure what extra special holiday decorations there are, but the grounds themselves will be nice enough to explore.

The guys have never been to Ohana and given the time we have and the start of Wishes, I am hoping it will be extra magical. 4 table service credits will be used. (40 remain)

After dinner, I am almost sure that Alex will want to head back to MK for EMH. Depending on how tired Steve, Zoe and or I are some or all of us might join him. EMH lasts until 11pm on this night so it would not be too late, but getting to bed early might make for a nice morning.
