Christmas all year long!

Could you ask the special doctor to call if any cancellations become available so you can start this sooner?

I could...and while I complain about it being so far out. With work, that is a slower week. (wk 3) I usually don't have much to do on monday or tuesday of week 3 (hence why I am still at home being a bum today). Week 1 and 2 are super busy still on mondays. The only better time would be the first part of the week on week 4. Then there is NOTHING to do. Hmm :scratchin So maybe what I can do is get in there on 9/27 and then have the next step scheduled for the following week. :sad2: I doubt i would be that lucky..but I can hope. :thumbsup2

12/10/2011 Saturday -

On every other trip I have planned for us to get up early the first day there and go... go... go. The travel between Washington state and Florida is quite taxing. We almost always play catch up for a good part of our trip. It isn’t until days into the trip that we feel like we are not short on sleep and even then, we have never been 100%. I promised Steve that I wouldn’t have us going all the time this trip so that we could relax and not come back feeling so drained. When I changed our dates to include a room only reservation at the front end, it seemed the perfect fit.

So on Saturday, we will be taking it easy. A first for us in WDW (or at least for me) is to sleep in. Since we have no where to be that morning why not?

Once up we will eat something. Here is where I debated a bit. Given that Zoe and I will have limited access to food on Friday, I am sure we will be hungry. We are not normally big breakfast eaters. A drink and a pastry or bowl of cereal is good. I had thought maybe I would bring breakfast bars or some other dry good to have for breakfast that morning. However, since yes... we are most likely going to be hungrier than we normally would we will head to.

I am sure that when we get there though, it will not be so empty. :rotfl:

What else will there be after breakfast to do, but explore the resort starting with
pop-everything-pop.jpg
to do a little bit of shopping.

I don’t want to miss seeing these guys

I didn’t get a chance last September to see any of these so I really want to wander a bit. Given that we have some "free time" I really can see us getting all of it in.

We of course will also want to pay special attention to these types of things given the season.

After we enjoy seeing all that Pop has to offer there will be another thing we HAVE to do. I just hope that the weather will cooperate.

If weather is not great, we will at least want to let Zoe play in

Next it will be time to get ready for lunch. We actually have pretty late lunch ADRS (around 2pm) which is why we will be able to spend so much time at Pop in the morning.

Zoe and I will be headed to GF to have an afternoon tea

I looked and looked for a dress for her. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I had thought something fancy, but I finally decided simple was a bit better which meant more of an “Alice” themed dress. I found this blue dress on ebay.

IMG_0191.jpg
I was hoping to get an apron made to fit over it that kinda matched the style you see in the picture of Zoe and Alice from last year. I may or may not get to it. I did purchase the material yesterday. If not, maybe I will buy one or even just have her wear this dress without one. I did buy a new black headband and dress shoes for her. I wonder if I should put it all away for the trip or let her wear it for school. :scratchin

Now, where or where did I plan for the guys?
images
I am not a big Irish food fan. Steve however LOVES it. When he was sick on his last visit to the world, he missed our meal here. He will get his chance. They will catch a bus to DTD while Zoe and I catch a bus to MK.

After lunch, I think Zoe and I will go back from GF to MK and catch a bus to DTD. We will then meet with the guys and do a little shopping.

Once we are done (and given that guys will be involved it shouldn't be long) We will head back to Pop. There we will do anything we missed that morning (weather permitting)

Dinner plans will be simple. Another trip to Everything Pop. We may or may not be adventurous and try
images

After dinner, we will probably watch some TV in the room and call it an early night. We will have a bigger day planned for 12/11.

Love the Alice dress and hearing more details about your plans. Its going to be here before you know it! The fall always goes so fast. Then again...doesn't every season go by quickly? :lmao:

I'm glad you're taking the time to relax a bit at the beginning of the trip. I've learned the hard way that it can be super taxing to go all out at the beginning of a trip. :rotfl:

It's Kira and Zoe in Epcot at Akershus...
1pt Kira
1pt Zoe
1pt Epcot

Not Akershus though

Thanks, I am wishing I would have been a bit more ebay savy and waited and just got an entire Alice costume..but I think since this will be more comfy.

I think the fall will fly by... I will be at WDW before I know it. I am pretty excited. :yay:

I do like the idea of kicking back for a couple days. It will make the rest of the vacation much more enjoyable.

Zoe and Kira outside in the UK...I am thinking outside of that cute tea store!

I love your POP plans...okay, you made my mind up for me! If I do book an extra day...we are doing POP...I don't care if I have to pay for 2 rooms or not! I have to see this place! And I WILL BE trying that tie dye cheesecake!

I  the dress you got for Zoe and the apron, head band..and other little details it will be AWESOME!

I am glad Steve is getting a little time at Raglan Road!

Pop is definitely a good value. I really found it to be just as nice as POR..except the buses. The buses are horrid...or at least they were last September. Just be forewarned on that cheesecake... I have heard very interesting results occur after eating one. :rolleyes1

The dress for Zoe is not super fancy..but I think it will work better. I am just not sure if I will be making an apron.

Yes, Steve will be happy (I think) that he will get to eat there. I tried to run it by him and all I got was "I dont' want to talk about this now" :sad2:

I think your lovely daughters are in World Showcase in Germany.

1pt WS, but not in Germany. :goodvibes

YOU MEAN I GOT A POINTS FOR THE PICTURE!? Instead of being my normal smart alec self....:rotfl:

Hmm...wonder if those interesting results are the same when you eat blue popsicles or drink blue kool-aide! When I was looking into the trip...I really wanted to stay POP but that meant 2 rooms which was more expensive then the BWV and renting points. I guess it is fate....:yay:

I have been reading The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World (I had bought this for Ab's travel bag/stocking, but I could not resist...and now I can't put down :rotfl2:)....here is some interesting info on the UK in world showcase (trying for mor points)...

The Tea Caddy shop is based on the Stratford-upon-Avon cottage owned by Ann Hathway (no not princess diaries, Ann...but the wife of William Shakespeare). I have actually visited the cottage! Since thatching (what the room is made of) would not last long in Epcot the roof is actually broom straw clipped to look like thatching...and they did an amazing job if I might add.

I would have gotten that picture wrong because I was going to say you and Zoe--- you and Kira look so much alike! That alice dress is precious and when I see photos you rarely see alice costumes and dresses in Disney (at least I have not seen a photo of any) so maybe they will give her a little extra magic:confused3hopefully:goodvibes!
Yes I am going to, my friend said that if worst comes to worse she can sew something up- she's good! I love chai tea! I like the ginger one though a little more than the cardamom to drink, but I love the smell of cardamom!

I was so excited to be the first to get to post on the pic that I failed to tell you that I'm happy you will have downtime that first day! We are going to have that also and I'm pretty excited about it. :thumbsup2

And that tie dye cheesecake is possibly the coolest dessert I've seen. My kids would go nuts over that!!! :woohoo:

The Alice dress is precious and looks really soft! :thumbsup2 I really am just as excited to hear about everyone's trips, see pictures, when we all get back as I am about going myself. Will be great to see what worked out well, what may have not, and the stuff we threw in to our trips that weren't planned! :rotfl:

So... I will grant you another point. :goodvibes

I am kinda kicking myself. I have found tons of real alice cosutmes since purchasing this dress. I guess... I could always buy the costume... Zoe could wear this to school. I don't know...

And..yes, Kira and I look a lot alike. Zoe and I look even more alike. A big difference is my hair is much darker than either of theirs.

AND... it is still chilly here. (I am sitting with a blanket wrapped around me cause I am NOT going to turn on the heat) so yesterday and today I had chai tea. MMM...warm It was yummy.

I think the down day will be nice, but we can't always afford it. I mean...there are trips where it is hard to see each park thoroughly. We are very blessed this time round to be going for so long.

The cheesecake I have heard is good. I think the colors are outrageous. I would think it would taste like food coloring. I might encourage Alex to have some. I mean..if anyone is going to have a stomach that can take that it would be a teenage boy.

And, I too am looking forward to seeing pictures from everyone and hearing how it all goes. It makes it all that more special a trip when you know of other people who are going to be going. :goodvibes

I don't share too much (I don't' think) regarding my job. Mainly I like it. However as with a lot of jobs, there can be someone somewhere sitting around not "thinking" how what ever they are scheming will affect the employees.

So today, word came down that we WILL go in have to complete all our stores in a specific chain on Wednesdays. One thing I like about my job is the flexibility to have a week to get the tasks done. With this particular chain the window got shortened to a wed/friday time frame. This complicated life enough..but ok..3 days is still doable. NOW we have only wed. to do them???!!!:confused3

This week will be fine. I have a little more than an hour of work in each of them. I have 5 stores so this is doable. Lets fast forward to when there is 4 or 5 or even 6 hours of work in them. Well..the math is pretty simple. Even at only 4 hours in a store...multiply that times 5 and that is a 20 hour day. And...if there is 6 hours of work???

So i contacted my manager and kinda pointed it out. I am going to be pretty ticked off if I have to somehow take all my time and push it into a single day. (these 5 stores account for most of the 20 to 40 hours in a week I get) Basically, I don't go into these stores next week (week 4 of 4) so we have a bit of time to get this worked out. However, come week 1... they better figure it out. The cycle is suppose to be bigger. I am already receiving a ton of stuff for it... I would anticipate each store amounting to at least 5 hours. Good grief??? a 25 hour day just because some yahoo put together a contract stating we would have these done on a specific day. :confused3

:headache:

Hope it's ok to join in so late?

OMG!!! That is too funny. I just came across your PTR and sub'd. I haven't had a chance to get caught up or post... but I wondered the same thing.

So... OF COURSE is it not too late!!! :goodvibes I will be trying to catch up on yours soon.
