Christmas all year long!

Thank you for posting late ........ gives me a chance to play - I am already up! :rotfl2:

So, what have we got here

Zoe meeting Tigger in Epcot in the United Kingdom Pavillion in World Showcase!

You got it!!! 3 points for you :goodvibes

Forgot to add .......

Congrats on scoring those tickets! :woohoo:

Thanks. I am pretty excited. Just 2 one way tickets back... and then we are set. I am not even sure I need or want to reschedule Zoe and my flight down. I might like to let the guys get down a day before us.

Woe... woe... the airfare woes...

Actually, I can't complain too much. I am having to watch like a hawk... and finagle a bit... but all in all things seem to be working. I just am at another "what to do" moment.

I have booked Steve and Alex rt.

I have booked Zoe and I on a different day for our flight down.

Right now, I could book a return on the flight that Steve and Alex are on. It is finally within the amount I wanted our average pp cost to be. I had hoped to get between $200 and $250 rt pp average. (had not factored baggage in) If I pay for the flight for Zoe and I. It makes our average to be $237. That is good. (course considering I had to use 2 reward tickets to get that... maybe not so :sad2:) Then we would have just the baggage costs for the return flight. My other option is to wait a bit longer and see what SW does. I know today they announced a big sale. (through November) Fares are pretty good on that sale. Also, the fare I want with them was lower when I booked our flight down...so maybe it will get back down to that? Kinda kicking myself for not booking that when I booked the one way since it is now up by $130. :sad2:

So Option 1: book now on the same flight with the guys
Pro - be on the same plane as them going home.
Be scheduled for the same DME.
Have the option of being done with all the airfare drama. (unless I wanted to change our flight from the 10th to the 9th)
Con - Having to pay for baggage for all 4 of us
Possibly getting locked into a fare that eventually goes down

Option 2: wait to book
Pro - Possible to get a cheaper fare
Possible to not have to pay for baggage
Possible to get a fare on SW that could be flexible.
Con - Non of the "pros" end up being the case
Have to book at a more expensive rate because I wait to long.
driving myself (and everyone else) nuts for just that much longer. ;)

Ann, that's a tough one!
And I guess I won't be much help either. If I had the option not to pay for luggage I probably would do that, but really, I have NO experience with that kind of scenario.
Here you hope that the rate is low enough (think around 1300$ per person) to book, hope to grab it soon enough and that's it ...... no changing as it is EXPENSIVE!!!!!!! ;)
Yip, I told you ........ NO help at all!

It is Zoe and Kira. I am totally lost on location and asked Mark. He says it is on a bench between Toontown and Tomorrowland which is the back route to Tomorrowland from Toontown and you can see the monorail passing the Contemporary. And this is at the Magic Kingdom.

Kira and Zoe in the photo

Can't put my finger on where, so I am taking a guess, there is a monorail beam in the back, so I am going to say Magic Kingdom

2 points for you!

The only way we could change is through SW. They do not charge to change the fare. You pay the difference or are issued a credit (from what I understand) I am watching for now. A check this afternoon and the fare has dropped about $60. So who knows.. .maybe in a few days it will be where I want it. I think not having to pay for luggage would win out over traveling with the guys. Plus.. (don't say anything to them :rolleyes1) but they are not fun to fly with.

Zoe and Kira outside of MK on one of the boat dock benches! :goodvibes
<I think!>

That would be correct. Since Karin beat you to it a bit, you get one point.

I could see why it would look that way. If I didn't know exactly what it was we were doing... I might actually second guess myself and thing that was tomorrowland speedway in the back. It is not though...

I seem to just not be giving this game the proper attention. :sad2: Here are the stories for these two pics.

Photo0039.jpg

Taken on our last trip (9/2010) It was our last full day in the park/night. We had our most anticipated ADR planned. (Le Cellier) We had spent our afternoon eating and shopping around the world (in WS). It had been a nice day, but our ADR time was quickly approaching. I knew we could get through the remaining country before, but Kira was very nervous. She insisted on pushing forward. I however felt it important to go in and see Pooh and Tigger. We did not eat at CP this trip so seeing them was an important thing to do since this was also Zoe's first trip getting an autograph book signed. We waited in line, probably the longest line for any character the whole trip. In the end, we more than made it to LC. I knew Kira was not happy with me for stopping even though she did her best to manage her frustration. Despite this conflict the pics we got were more than worth it.

To contrast the previous pic... this was same trip, but it was our first night and our first ADR. We had arrived at Pop and quickly got ready to go to Ohana. Even though we were running late, we didn't not have a week of heat and getting on each others nerves to get anyone testy. We happily made our way and when we arrived at MK we decided to take the boat (rather than monorail) to the Poly. It was a wonderful night to be out on the lake since it was so humid. The cooler air coming off the lake was nice as was the stroll through the grounds before we found our way to the restaurant.

Ann, do me a favour, call it a day and get some rest! It must be pretty late in your area already!

I got a call from Steve today while I was at work. He called to ask me if we had medicine for Zoe in the event she had an allergic reaction.

Um... why do dads seem to think this way? :confused3 I told him to look in pretty much every medicine cabinet in the house...and he would be able to find some for her. (I pretty much have a stock pile of the stuff and have it located EVERYWHERE in the house. :rotfl:)

Anyway, he told me that she came to him and looks like she was punched in the face because her face and eyes swelled up so bad. After I questioned if she was breathing I just told him to give her the benadryl.. max dose and make sure she eats something cause she is likely to be out before I get home to give her dinner.

When I got home I saw she was OUT. Well, I made dinner and ate and just as I was finishing Zoe came down. Honestly when she first came down I would almost not have recognized her. Literally one of her eyes was so swollen it was not opening all the way. (like rocky fight looking eye) Then there was her entire face... looked like a balloon. I think had I been home, we probably would have gone to the hospital. It was THAT bad. It didn't take long and it started to go down... but after eating and drinking a ton(where she had the appetite from I am not sure.. maybe dad didn't feed her like I asked?) she fell back to sleep.

I just have this feeling that they are going to cancel this surgery again... just a week to go...

Okay, let me try this ......

Sweet Zoe meeting Pocahontas,

I am a bit lost on where, but I am taking a guess and saying AK, camp Minnie Mickey!

All three right! Zoe meeting Pocahontas in AK in Camp Minnie Mickey. :goodvibes

Ann, do me a favour, call it a day and get some rest! It must be pretty late in your area already!

Yes, ma'm :goodvibes It is a bit late... just after midnight here. I am yawning quite a bit... a good sign that I must sleep soon. I just had to get some Dis in before I did. I do fine with my Dis time unless I fall behind on the threads I am subscribed too. Then it becomes hard to catch up.

With that I am off to catch some zzzz's

Yikes, that sounds pretty scary!
Does she usually get allergic reactions? I would have been so scared coming home and seeing her like this.
Hope she gets better very very soon! Lots of healing pixie dust and thoughts on the way!

I hope Zoe is ok!! Allergies are so scary sometimes. I know friends of mine with severe allergies that he has to walk around with an epi pen. Is she allergic to anything?

I know what you mean about the search for airfare. Do you book or do you wait...it sometimes becomes a game I do NOT want to play. Often times I just book the airfare and then I make a promise to myself NOT to research airfare after that. Seeing a lower price will only make me angry. I think some sites, like Orbitz, has some sort of price guarantee, so if you book and the price goes lower, it may refund you the difference.

I too hate paying for luggage! That's why I often do not check in my stuff. But it was pretty cool to have ME take it for your, which is why I try to search out Jetblue when flying to orlando.

Good luck with the flight search! and don't get too stressed about it!

Positive vibes for Zoe and her upcoming surgery. Have you had any updates, visits to check her breathing since she went on the steroids? I would think those in itself would have kept the allergic reaction at bay because a lot of times the type of reaction you described as Zoe having - they use corticosteroids to treat the swelling, etc. :confused3

But I'm not a doctor - just have a kid with a quirky immune system...

I seem to be slipping in catching the game picture when posted. :sad2: I've a good excuse though -- too hot to be in the house without air so I've been sitting outside and then showering and bed.

I'm sorry to hear about Zoe. I hope she gets better soon and surgery does not have to be postponed.

Thanks, Karin. She had a reaction like this once before. It was scary last time... and we were in the ER for it... but this time was worse.

She is allergic to latex and so she does have an epi. latex is a tricky allergy cause there is what is called a cross protein reaction. Basically, something (like dandelions) has a protein that is similar to that which is in latex and her body will mistake it and POOF allergic reaction. So..she is not allergic to the weed... but sometimes can have a reaction to it.

I am pretty close to just booking. Even if I could get a fare cheaper, I worry too much at this point that I wont' be able to....and that stress is killing me. Course... the flight I am not looking at comes in later than Steve and Alex. Steve doesn't want to wait for me :sad2: That fare is actually not too bad...but we would have to pay for luggage.

She was only on the prednisone for 5 days... but she still is taking prescription allergy meds. I too thought it odd she had such a bad reaction given that she was on all of that. We did have an appointment on monday with the pcp. She gave the all clear... but to her Zoe sounded clear to begin with.

Thanks, Kathy. I really hope that the surgery doesn't get canceled again.

As for the game... you do have an excuse! I can't believe you have it so warm. Our summer came a couple days ago. I think it may have hit 70...maybe even 75. Course, today rain and Zoe wanted to put her winter coat on. It is pretty cold. :sad2: I need some sun!!! and warmth!!!
