Christmas all year long!

Popped over from my ptr! Going back to read :goodvibes

:woohoo::welcome:

Yay for DS's named Alex

Agreed! :thumbsup2

Nothing wrong with being over prepared. I'm a total over planner so hearing that you've already started planning and purchasing pleases me

Yes, you say that now... but wait till you read all of my overly obsessive posts. :rotfl:

Congrats to your DD! That's so cute that they've known eachother for so long.

Thank you! I know his mom and I are just amazed at how weird it is. Just the other day we were talking about how when we first met they were 10 and we were awestruck at the fact they were born on the same day.

How is your DS doing since he shipped out?

He is doing well. He wrote to me recently to say that basic is easy. :scared1: My crazy boy... thinks all that is fun.

Hooray!! Sounds great! Gotta love "free" Disney $

Thanks! As it turns out, another offer of triple points came in and another offer and as of right now have about 350 in rewards points.

how was Nemo musical?

I LOVE this musical. I think I may be in the minority, but for me it is a MUST do!!!

How long did that take?

Zoe completed the mask as we made our way through WS. It was just nice to allow her those moments to stop. I think our first couple trips, we flew through WS.:sad2:

The Osbourn Lights is a MUST MUST MUST and so is the Candlelight processional!!! Highly recommend both! MVMCP....it was sort of a let down but still fun. The best part about the party is the low crowd at MK and getting onto rides super fast.

I worry about the crowds for Osbourn Lights, and getting a spot for CP... but I think we have decided not to do MVMCP. Who knows though, this could change in the next 6 months! :rotfl:

Yeah I keep hearing people say that I am going to regret that, but I can't see draggin Grumpy and my son to another park after a full day and all of us enjoying it- agreed that when it's just a couple that's probably a lot easier- not much luggage!

We have never regretted not having park hoppers. It is all we can do to fit in all we want to do in ONE park on any given day. I can't imagine spending time loading everyone up and traveling to the next park.

I like the places that you are going to eat! I have to get to change mine around again:rolleyes: I really want to try that starring rolls cafe that you suggested! And a few others!

Starring Rolls is amazing! You definitely have to try that. I hear they have a new cupcake too... although the amount of red in it might make me stay away.

Oh your plans look like so much fun!! :thumbsup2 I seriously only see that our paths could cross at AK on the 20th!

I noticed that. Maybe on the 22nd too... if we both have breakfast at WCC. Or if you are there early enough and we are on our way out ;)

:lmao: My stomach is growling! Between your meal plans and the cake ball pic on another thread... I think it's almost time for lunch!

Cake ball thread? :rotfl: What is this about??? Yes, I too am hungry. Course, for me I need some breakfast. ;)

:woohoo::welcome:

Thank you :goodvibes

Agreed! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

Yes, you say that now... but wait till you read all of my overly obsessive posts. :rotfl:

haha.....well, I'm sure we'll have fun comparing over planningness notes. I'm even getting more over planning ideas from other ptr's. This could be dangerous :rolleyes1

Thank you! I know his mom and I are just amazed at how weird it is. Just the other day we were talking about how when we first met they were 10 and we were awestruck at the fact they were born on the same day.

That's just awesome! My DH and I are a year and 3 days apart so we always get to celebrate our bdays together. It's really fun and makes for an easy excuse to go to Disney :thumbsup2

He is doing well. He wrote to me recently to say that basic is easy. :scared1: My crazy boy... thinks all that is fun.

 fun and easy huh? Well good for him!

Thanks! As it turns out, another offer of triple points came in and another offer and as of right now have about 350 in rewards points.

woohoo!! :woohoo: That's one of the great things about starting to plan early. Do you do Sunshine Rewards? You probably won't have time for it but I've gotten a few $100 GC's from them from doing surveys. I haven't done it a lot lately though since I have to look after Alex when I'm not at work and that takes up most of my time.

I LOVE this musical. I think I may be in the minority, but for me it is a MUST do!!!

I've seen video of it. I wonder if a 1 year old would enjoy something like that. Hmmmmm. I might have to ask for opinions on my PTR.

Zoe completed the mask as we made our way through WS. It was just nice to allow her those moments to stop. I think our first couple trips, we flew through WS.:sad2:

Very cool. I doubt Alex would have the patience for something like that on this trip but maybe when he's older.

I worry about the crowds for Osbourn Lights, and getting a spot for CP... but I think we have decided not to do MVMCP. Who knows though, this could change in the next 6 months! :rotfl:

Osbourn is VERY crowded but TOTALLY worth it! Just find a spot to stand in and look up. I hate crowds and this didn't bother me one bit. I was just sucked into all the awesome lights dancing to the music. You won't be missing much if you don't go to MVMCP. And you can always decide to go at the last min too and buy tix at the resort :thumbsup2

;)

:goodvibes

I am SOOO jealous. Don't get me wrong... I will be very happy to enjoy WDW at Christmas time, but I wish that I was going sooner. Like tomorrow. :rotfl2:

I guess for now, I will have to live vicariously through all my disfriends who are going soon. :goodvibes

Will you be dong a TR? (please say yes.. ;) )

Hi, I followed your link from my newly inherited PTR. I have alot of catching up to do on your PTR I am only on pg 7 but I wanted to let you know that you have a new reader.

I have been doing the "red bin" thing only mine is a green Disney bag, I can't talk about it on my PTR because it's a surprise for my sister Bo and my mom. I got us Disney stockings and as I see little Disney trinkets I pick them up. I have a few valentines things in their too, it was Disney so I had to have it.

I understand about being organized in the room, especially at Pop. I do that too, I have to have a clean organized room. I hate when the hotel room looks trashed, I need to know where things are. I have in the past brought a shoe oraganizer that hangs over the door, it had see through plastic compartments and each of us could store our bathroom stuff in it. I got it at the dollar tree.

So anyway I guess I'll get back to reading.

I am super excited, but constantly second guessing all of my plans. this came up so fast i didnt have time to properly plan. You know as well as I do, a proper plan takes a good year :rotfl2::rotfl2: ive only had 2 months :eek:

Im seriously thinking of doing a TR. It will be my first, but with the ease of no kids, 3 days in the parks to do whatever I want :scared1: and then 3 days with DH and the DxDP, yeah ill have lots of pics and food reviews so im gonna try my hand at it.

Im super excited about Cali Grill in time for wishes pixiedust: and Raglan Road for the first time

Not trying to highjack your thread Ann...but LAURIE...have a wonderful time. It was so much fun doing an adult vacation last summer at WDW. Can't wait to see your report and food reviews. I suggest going outside for wishes at the California grill...we took a nice glass of wine and watched with a cool (okay cool for June) breeze...

I want some butter bread pudding...have some and tell me what it is like. Bread pudding is my comfort food...no one in my family will eat it (my oma...grandmother...made it for me)

I think this is what makes it fun to plan this far out. There is time to pick this little thing up.. and that... and well, before you know it you have a bin or bag full of stuff. :goodvibes

I think it was so important to organize Pop... the room and especially the new dresser did not have a lot of storage space. It was funny, cause even the toothbrush holder I got to stick on the mirror matched the decor PERFECTLY. Like we are talking the same exact color of blue. (and blues are hard to match up) I have found very little on organizing at WL. I know when we stayed at YC, there was little need to keep things in separate containers since there were more drawers in that room than I knew what to do with. Maybe that will be the case at WL?

I know.. it takes a while to put together a proper plan ;) However will you manage? :rotfl: Seriously though it will work out just fine. I have planned several in a short time... I think the biggest issue is getting those ADR's

:yay: Please try... you can do it. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: I would so love to see some food pics and read reviews!!

No worries, Tammie. :goodvibes I am glad that you can add something helpful for someone. :thumbsup2

Hello there thought I would jump on board here and read your pre trip report... My family and I will be at VWL from Dec 22- Dec 29..... We are also from the great PNW..... We have a house in Whidbey Island but right now we live in AZ due to my DH job.... Can't wait to read all about your planning

Where did you buy it?? with 5 of us in the room, i need one!

Just trying to catch up over here. Lots of dining discussion- but sadly, I"ve only tried Sanaa, (if I read things correctly) on your list- which was very veryy good! We loved it! OH, also Akershus, which was pretty decent food as well.

I did it! I got all caught up. I feel like I know you better now and we have a few things in common. First off we obsess over things, I spend so much time just thinking and rethinking, I drive myself nuts.

My bedroom is cabin themed, so is my bathroom and my den, I have moose and bear and bucks every where. My DH is a trapper so I have alot of pelts too, and a bear rug, he made me this bed for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Annnnnnnnd....I also have the Mickey snuggie, I love mine.:goodvibes

So now that I am caught up it will be easy for me to keep up with your planning. So far your plans look great, I don't know how you manage to work out airfare math but you go girl!

Followed you from your post on my PTR. Yes, we are going at the same time! Sorry about the recent trials in your life. I'm sure you're looking forward to the wedding and so proud of your military son! Can't wait to read more!

I can't wait to see what all restaurants you end up going with. That is a lot of variety you have listed! I don't see anything wrong with sharing meals. Lexi & I can never eat a full meal & I always feel so wasteful having 1/2 of our food thrown away. So, we share meals a lot.

Hi:)
I was trying to read though you Ptr before I comment, but decided I forget what I wanted to comment on away.( guessit old age)
Your family is beautiful:goodvibes Your pride it each is trully a mothers LOVE.

Hello there thought I would jump on board here and read your pre trip report... My family and I will be at VWL from Dec 22- Dec 29..... We are also from the great PNW..... We have a house in Whidbey Island but right now we live in AZ due to my DH job.... Can't wait to read all about your planning

:welcome: Whidbey? Ya know... We live in King county.. but I have never been to Whidbey Island. In fact, I think the only island I have been to is Bainbridge. I do know where Whidbey is if that counts :goodvibes

And looks like our trips may overlap. Are you DVC members? Or did you rent points since it will accommodate your family better? For us, if we bring all our kids there isn't enough room in a standard room... but we have never rented points.

Where did you buy it?? with 5 of us in the room, i need one!

I want to say I got it at Walmart. I was looking for something that had suction cups so that I could stick it to the mirror. It only has 4 spots for brushes though... which for us was perfect since there was only 4 of us last trip.

Just trying to catch up over here. Lots of dining discussion- but sadly, I"ve only tried Sanaa, (if I read things correctly) on your list- which was very veryy good! We loved it! OH, also Akershus, which was pretty decent food as well.

Yes, AORN (I think I am going to start using that a lot in this PTR) we hope to go to Sanaa (btw, how is that pronounced?) I think Steve will love that restaurant. Zoe and Alex... not so much. Course, there will be something not threatening for them on the menu I am sure.

I did it! I got all caught up. I feel like I know you better now and we have a few things in common. First off we obsess over things, I spend so much time just thinking and rethinking, I drive myself nuts.

:rotfl2: Yes, I understand ooooh too well the driving oneself nuts with the rethinking

Great crazy minds.... ;)

:welcome:

Trials are just life.... but thank you. I am proud of both of my older two children.

Same time!! How awesome. I am keeping a little cheat sheet journal of when everyone is going. It is amazing how many people are going to have overlapping dates. (well, I guess amazing isn't the right word since I realize the parks will be very packed...so LOTS of people have their trips at the same time. :rotfl2:)

I can't wait to see what all restaurants you end up going with. That is a lot of variety you have listed! I don't see anything wrong with sharing meals. Lexi & I can never eat a full meal & I always feel so wasteful having 1/2 of our food thrown away. So, we share meals a lot.

That makes me feel a bit better. I just think I feel like a bit of a cheat... but... I know there will be days that it may be just too much food other wise. Besides, there are also days I know we will be paying oop for things...

Happy Easter :flower1::flower::flower1:

Hope The Easter Bunny Brings lot of treats:goodvibes:goodvibes

any a wonderful day filled with Love:love::love:

Thank you so much! :goodvibes

Ann, Happy Easter to you and all the family.

To yours as well. :goodvibes

I was trying to read though you Ptr before I comment, but decided I forget what I wanted to comment on away.( guess it old age)

That is why I use so many quote boxes. I can barely remember things I want to say let alone what I want to respond to. :rotfl:

You are very right!

The title of you PTR is great, celebrating Christmas all year long is wonderful idea. I know i had a hard time thinking of a title for mine too.

Ya know, when I started this PTR all I thought about was next Christmas. I was still finding lots of items that were Christmas related. I mean, when I booked the trip, Christmas had only just passed. It just seemed as though I would be dreaming of Christmas all year long. Now, it almost seems silly. Obviously Christmas excitement has died down. Now, it is more about the trip than Christmas. Well, maybe not entirely. Friday I did some shopping for Easter. I ended up picking up all sorts of games that I thought would be easy to ship down for Christmas. So... maybe Christmas is still in my everyday thoughts. :goodvibes

I have always want to sat at the Wildness lodge, only stayed at values your home with the mountain is beautiful ( Ohio is
kind of flat)

Have a magical day

I am actually kinda surprised that we are booked at WL. It was not high on my wish list... but given the time of year we are going... I pushed it to the top!

As for the mountain... I almost took a picture yesterday. It was out and the skies were blue. It was AMAZING. today we have gray skies and the mountain I am sure is not visible. We live on the plateau so it is kinda flat here...

:welcome: Whidbey? Ya know... We live in King county.. but I have never been to Whidbey Island. In fact, I think the only island I have been to is Bainbridge. I do know where Whidbey is if that counts :goodvibes

We are actually DVC members... This will be our first time using it since we just joined earlier this year... Of course it counts not a lot of people have even heard of the island or even know where it is.. I SO miss being back home in the nice cool weather.. It is SO HOT here in AZ that i have no idea if I will every get adjusted to the weather here...:rotfl2:

It would be :cool1: if our paths cross while we are there enjoying our :santa: Vacation

I hope one of these days I get the chance to write a Pre-Trip report.. I'm not the best writer in the world but I think it would just be cool to journal all my thoughts and ideas for BOTH of my trips that I will be taking this year.. I will be there in Aug and in Dec.. First trip will be for my younger sisters bday and the second one will be our first Christmas there and my parents will be joining me for that trip...
