Well I called yesterday to make adrs, it was actually 181 days from my visit but I still got to do it.

Here is what I got, tell me how I did and if there is anything at christmas I need to do. My kids are a 9yr boy and a 6yr girl.

12/19 Chef Mickeys 5pm
12/20 Chef Mickeys 9am
12/21 Garden Grill 5:30pm
12/22 Donalds in AK 9am
12/23 none, I think we are going to Discovery Cove
12/24 Boma 5pm
12/25 CRT 8am
Liberty Tree Tavern 5pm
12/26 Chef Mickeys 10:30am

And we are staying at the Contemporary. Is there a counter service resteraunt there?

TIA

Hi! We were there over Christmas last year, and even though we're going in January when it will be 100% less crowded (I think), I'm still envious because it made our Christmas so much more magical being at Disney!

Anyway, I see that you have 3 meals at Chef Mickey's. It was an awesome experience -- we ate there for Christmas dinner and it was our first Disney restaurant (besides the POFQ food court but I don't count that). However if I were you, rather than visit there 3 times I might do breakfasts at 'Ohana &/or The Crystal Palace with Pooh & Friends. They are both a quick monorail ride from the CR and would give you some character variety.

As for my must-do's at Christmas -- watch Christmas parade at MK, stroll through the Osborne Lights at MGM, and try to visit some of the storytellers in Epcot. BTW, our kids were 6 and 8.

Too much Chef Mickey's. Once is great, maybe one dinner and one breakfast...but not 3 times in a week. 'Ohana is a quick ride on the monorail. Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club is also great, but not as convenient to get to.

At Christmas the resorts have all sorts of special entertainment--you will get a schedule when you check in. There will be singers, instrumental music, etc. in the resort public areas (also at the other resorts....if you happen to be at any others). The whole of WDW is decorated and totally wonderful. It is my favorite time to visit.

Remember that if you have the DDE, it is not good on Christmas Eve or Christmas day.

I know I had Chef Mickeys alot, but the last time we went, june '05. My kids loved it so much and after we were there, we couldn't get adr's anymore. I will think about Ohana though.

On the previous post, it said DDE isn't good on Xmas day or eve. Its that the dining plan or something else????

I agree with you, we will be there December 19th -26th, and we are going to Chef Mickeys three times too. We will be there 19th for dinner, 25th for dinner and 26th for breakfast. I actually just added the brerakfast. Chef Mickey's is GREAT!!!!
