Christmas ADR's - Too Late??

I am going to be in WDW from December 13-22 and the only major restaurants that I looked into that were booked solid was CRT and Le Cellier Steakhouse. I would say you need to make plans ASAP, but you should be okay in terms of most places.

thanks - I'm a bit of a freak about planning and am sweating this one already. Christmas Day - any suggestions? We will be staying at the Poly.

I would call Disney first thing in the morning to see what you can get. You never know until you try.

I can tell you most people start to plan at the 180 day mark, so i'd say you're definetly running VERY late for ADR's. I'm sure there are still spaces available, but you're gonna have to be vigilant and check on a daily basis. Alot of people cancel their reservations at 45 days out and they may be considerate enough to do the same with their ADR's. For this reason you've gotta keep checking with WDW Dining in case something frees up. There is a thread somewhere around here that has ADR cancelation announcements. I'd give you the link but this websites search function is the worst on planet Earth.

Good Luck and keep us posted on what you get.

Depends on the restaurant, the number of people and the time you want to go...I changed ressies last week for Dec. 22 - 28 to add unexpected guests...I was surprised there was availability at Narcoosee, California Grill, Chef Mickey's, Flying Fish (which is where X-Mas dinner is now for 7 people), Coral Reef, Artist Point, Kona Cafe and Mama Melrose...The dinner availability was usually very early (5:30) or later in the night (after 8:30)....Wed Lunch at Coral Reef seemed fairly open...I would call ASAP....Good Luck.

We booked last week. - Two rooms at POR from Dec 22 to 29th. Didn't expect to get that!

We also made our ADRs. Here's what we were able to get. There are 6 of us. I was surprised we were able to get our requests.
23rd - Candlelight Processional Package at Coral Reef. 2.10pm seating for first show.
24th - 5.10 at 50's Prime Time Cafe
25th - 7.00pm at Trails End
26th - 810am at Crystal Palace
27th - 4.00pm afternoon tea at Grand Floridian
28th - 7.30pm at Rose and Crown

We also booked for the Yuletide Fantasy tour and there was lots of availability.

Good luck.

Been working like a maniac this week getting the hotel (BC and Poly) put together for the 15th to the 28th so tonight over a glass of wine the planning starts! Christmas Day is what I'm pretty challenged on - where to go. We come from the cold north and the first time in the sun for Christmas so quite a change for us. As soon as I have some concrete plans I'll let you know. Thanks for the encouragement!

We just booked this week for 7 of us to go the 25th through New Year's....I've only tried once, but got several reservations we wanted, but had to be flexible on the time. We are struggling with New Year's Eve still and aren't having any luck with LeCellier!

Just so you know.... sometimes it gets pretty cold around Christmas time. Somedays its warm enough for shorts and T-shirts and even for the kids to swim, although you don't see many adults joining them ( I would imagine its pretty chilly upon exiting the water). Other times everyone you see is bundled up in coats, hats and gloves and huddled together under blankets.

One thing to keep in mind, even if the temperature is not as cold as the weather you are used to, you will be out in the elements ALL DAY. I know when I'm at home and the weather is cold and nasty, I do my best to stay INDOORS! But at WDW, you'll be on the go and outside for a good portion of the day. So I say go prepared for all extremes!

Have a great time and maybe we'll see you there!

My husband and I will be at BCV from Dec. 15 - 26. He just called today to finalize some of our ADRs and I was pleasantly surprised at what he was able to get. We'll even be going to Victoria and Albert's on the 21st (I'm so excited! ). On Christmas Day we'll be going to Kona Cafe for breakfast and Artist Point for dinner. Have you made your plans yet?

We'll be at the Poly at 9am Christmas morning....for breakfast with Lilo & Stitch. DS9 can't wait!! :yay:
