Am I the only one that set my calendar to day 499 so I could book a site for Christmas 2015? It was yesterday but the sites weren't available. Anyone ever have this problem? I will try again in a week or so. Should I be worried about that week selling out? We will be moving back to Florida next summer and I have my heart set on a fort Christmas!!

Did you try calling into the telephone reservations line or website? I don't think the website is able to handle those dates yet. I'm not sure why that is but for some reason Disney is not quite as good with websites as they are with theme parks. :)

You need to make sure its 499 days from your departure date it looks like I still have 15 more days to go to make mine for 2015

I did call, the cm seemed to think those dates weren't loaded but why would disney set the mark At 499 days if they couldn't book. I did noticed its 499 days from departure, she couldn't even try for my date of 12/18 as the end date..Said her calendar didn't go that far. I'll try again!

I couldn't book it either and we are going in December of 2015. And no, you are not the only crazy person that has to make plans that far ahead!! :)

You should be able to make them I made our xmas 2015 last week we will be at the fort dec 18-jan 3. Try and call back and talk to them again.

Ryan is correct. I typed in arriving 12/24/15 and out 12/31/15 in the Disney calendar tool just now and got this:

Need to add tax to these average nightly rates to get a full cost.

Yes , just called and got October and December for 2015. So dates are open. Good luck to all.:thumbsup2

WooHoo!!! Lot easier booking Dec 2015 than it was booking Dec 2014 piece by piece this past Feb through April.

My site was $167 a night! Is that normal for christmas??

It's a little high but not by much. Did you book a Premium site, Disneyaddictz? The rate I posted plus about 10% tax would be $160 or so. So not far off.

The Christmas period through New Years is the MOST expensive time at the Fort. There are a limited number of sites available and it's supply-and-demand in action. It's an Economics lesson happening right before our eyes.

So it is what it is. Pay (like you did) or stay home (like I am). But please tell us about it or post pictures. :rolleyes1

I booked premium although I need to call back, I got an inexperienced cm who was very confused, she also couldn't figure out pet friendly sites or which were premium and what was preferred.
I started getting scared that she did something wrong, I received my mickey mail and had my resie in my mde but this morning it's gone!!

I already have my readies booked for Xmas 2015 thru new years 2016.
I would suggest calling now if you have not already booked it could be full now. Good luck hope to see you there.

Oops ressies, darn auto correct. I made mine about 2 1/2 weeks ago.

Just completed my reservations for our first trip at the Fort--will be staying from December 23-29, 2015. I have been lurking on the Campground forum for quite a while and am truly excited to be experiencing Christmas for the first time at WDW and the Fort! We are looking to have a simple vacation by experiencing what there is to do at the Fort and maybe visit the parks a few days. Any tips?

Also, wanted to share with anyone who is trying to make a reservation that the cast member who helped me to reserve my spot told me that the reservations are already filling up fast. I was really lucky to be able to get my reservations without piecemealing them all together to get a decent time to spend on the Fort.

Thanks for all the advice you guys have given and for the pix....but please do let me know any tips you may have for enjoying the holidays! I especially want to know what I should do about Christmas Dinner???? Are all the restaurants open during Christmas? Want to see if we could eat out or maybe bring something back to the site.

We have reserved a Preferred/Premium site. Gonna rent an rv. Got any referrals about that as well? Got lots of questions....:scratchin

:confused3

Sounds like you have the hard part done, getting reservations for a campsite during xmas. We rented a RV from http://www.greenbergrvflorida.com last year and had a wonderful week. Check out their web site it has pictures and pricing of the available models for rent and a great FAQ section. If you still have questions give Matt the owner a call, he is great to deal with.

Everything is open and running as usual at Disney. You also need to get your dinner reservations in early for holiday meals. Certain places fill up fast and also there is a $10@person deposit to hold the reservation.

Great! Looked on the website last night and you're right; plenty of good choices for rv rental. Just looking at those pix got me excited!

I called back at the WDW line and found out the date I need to make my reservations--thanks for the tip about the $10.00 deposit per person! Didn't know that nugget of information.

Thanks for the tips. :thumbsup2
