I know the tree in MK won't be up until after the parade?

However how long after will it take for the tree to go up? We are hoping to see the tree and one date/package (from a cool place) we got offered could maybe let us stay till Dec 10th
Do you think the tree will be up by then? what is the latest it has gone up before? How long did it take from the parade taping, to the tree being up and ready for pictures?
What days do the parade normally happen (maybe the 4th and 5th this year?)

1. It will likely go up the Sunday over-night or (more likely) the Monday over-night directly following the parade-taping weekend.

2. Better than 85% chance, I'd say.

3. The 2014 dates shot down "normal", so we just don't know.

How long did it take from the parade taping, to the tree being up and ready for pictures?

This past year there was a one day "gap"-taping ended December 9 and the Tree was up ready for Park Opening on December 11.

oh wow I hope it will be up before dec 10th.. Man if we don't see it my hubby is gonna be so bummed.
But he says maybe it'd be cool to watch the taping..** really?

so how hard is it to watch the taping?

I thought it was the weekend not on Tuesdays.

Which tree?
I'm feeling a little confused: I posted awhile questioning if there was any difference between visiting in early Nov and in early Dec for the Christmas themed things and was told by the first party around Nov 7th everything would be all go.....

They leave the tree down until after they tape the MK Xmas parade show for tv. I guess it's hard to film around and get good sight lines all the way down main street to the castle. They did have two smaller trees there this year in the spot the big tree would eventually go. The resorts are decorated thru the month of Nov, there is some sort of lottery they have which decides what order the resorts follow regarding who gets their decorations up first, second, and so on. I think parks continue getting up their Xmas decorations thru out the month, so I don't think it's all magically up by first Xmas party night. But it does look nice, and gets nicer and more Christmasy each day! Most decorations are finished being put up by thanksgiving, except for the big MK tree.

I read somewhere today that the parade is Dec 8-9.
