Christmas 2011 shopping

I wasn't really planning on Xmas shopping this year. In short, I was physically disabled this summer, have medical and legal bills coming out the wazoo, and can only work part time as a result. (Thankfully the disability will be temporary). Xmas presents were not in the cards this year--if anything should get you a pass out of buying Xmas presents for a year, being stuck in a wheelchair during the holidays should be one of them.

However, my husband and I were going over our business accounts this morning...and just remembered that our company credit card has been racking up points that we can trade in for gift cards. ALOT of points. So we exchanged them all to order gift cards for our family members. Xmas is saved! (And who do I thank in this case? The Credit Card Fairy???)

This is great. I love when we find our little hidden treasures.

I have started shopping I have a handful of things bought - I am really looking for GREAT bargins... Like I found the 24 Edition of Clue board game regualaring 39.99 I bought for $1 each at Barnes and Noble Bargin Table... and other things like that... but I know the big money days are coming

I got that same clue game for my DD. I think it was $4 when I got it but still a great deal.

Well of course my list had to change some right when I thought I was all set :confused3, but I still think I'm doing pretty good.

Well of course my list had to change some right when I thought I was all set :confused3, but I still think I'm doing pretty good.

I'm down to my edible stocking stuffers too, but that's for DH. I will have to make a run to Fresh Market a few days before Cmas to get his Wasabi snack mix, beef jerkey and other muchies he likes.

I do need to pick up a $20 gift card to somewhere for a gift exchange thing the adult are doing on Cmas day when we head to the inlaws, but otherwise, I think I'm finished too.

I think I declared earlier in this thread that I'd be done completely by December 1st.
Nope.:rotfl:
I am almost done. I have 2 gift cards to pick up and a set of tickets to order. There's also a movie for dd that isn't even released until the 20th. I don't want to pre-order it online because I don't think it will ship in time. There's no option to pay for it now and go pick it up either. So I'll go and get it on the 20th.
Other than that... Done. I even have almost half of the wrapping done. :)
