Well this is the final day. We woke early as usual and began to wrap up. After checking under the beds and every where else we strolled down to Animators Patate to eat breakfast.
You were told to eat breakfast where you ate your last dinner. Our servers were there and this time we ordered from a menu.
When we finished we took a slow stroll around the ship as it was pulling into dock. Weather sunny and warm around 74/76 degrees. At about 8:30 the doors opened and we diembarked. Our lugguage was very easy to find and after a minor stop behind customs wall,( she didn't believe I bought a $100 watch onboard) we were loaded in the motorhome and headed south to Key West for another week of fun.
My thoughts on the cruise.
DCL goes out of their way to please you. The entire crew was wonderful. I would reccomend to anyone to take the cruise. The weather at that time of the year is hit or miss and we managed to get lucky. Even though the cruise was full 2700 + most of the time you didn't know it. Parking, check in, boarding, disembarking and leaving was the easiest I have ever experienced.
The only disappointments were the on board photography but since I didn't buy many photos I cna't really complain. The food was excellent most of the time we only had a few minur over/under cooked items and that didn't really bother me. The DW and I don't really know what we expected on Castaway Cay but it was fun. It just seemed like a tourist trap and WDW around busy times. The big disappointment was the people. Some people you can dress up but you just can't take them out. Most everyone onboard were friendly howevewr there were a few that aggravated the hell out of me.
Also onboard when the signs say 18 or older only why don't parents educate their children to stay away. There were enough areas onboard to have fun but when you want to enjoy some warm hottub action late one night its not the same with some 15/16 year olds hanging around. It is a family oriented ship no doubt but I blame the paents for lack of educating.
To gove the cruise a score from 1-10 no doubt 10. When we left the ship DW(who doesn't have very good sea legs) didn't want to consider cruising again. Well she changed her mind and we will probably go again.
To everyone on these discussion boards than you for the suggestions, tips and input. We used what we needed and I think it helped to enhance our first cruising experience.
Thank You and I hope you enjoyed the family follies.
Mike
