Everyday Miracles/Sara Groves

It's the everyday miracles that keep my hope alive
It's the way You move in little things that help me survive
And I know You move in greater ways
But this is great enough for me
What You do with my everyday is amazing

The things that seem impossible, I lay down at Your feet
And just when I am needing most You are there for me
And I know you've made the lame to walk
And caused the blind to see
But what You do with my everyday is amazing

When I'm down on my knees
And I can't make it through
When it's up to me
It's really up to You

Lindsay,

My DH's uncle graduated from Lee and both his son's attended there. We have been there a couple of times when Michael English was in concert there.

We will have to do lunch sometime, I work downtown right past the Choo-Choo but sometimes run out to the mall on my lunch break.

Good morning Jill! :)
Wow, Sara's music is some of the best, really! I completely appreciate her style and the truth that penetrates through her music.

Good Morning everyone! TGIF!!!!

Love this song!

The Darins - Crosses And Crowns Lyrics

For those who seek the face of God
For those who call the name of Christ
The road upon this earthly sod
Will someday lead to paradise
We embrace the cross of Calvary
Pressing toward the prize we will receive

CHORUS
We’re waiting on new wings
Searching an old sky
Praying for the day
We’ll see heaven coming down
There’s a promise land awaiting
But there’s mercy in the meantime
While we’re walking on this ground
Between crosses and crowns

We stumble and we lose our way
We question what we’re doing here
Yet all the time we watch and pray
Wondering if the end is near
So He left us His amazing grace
Until we see Him face to face

CHORUS

BRIDGE

We’re pilgrims on this mission field
Where the heart gets changed
And the soul gets healed
There’s a purpose in these shadow lands
Between the crowns of gold
And His nail-scarred hands

CHORUS

Be Your Everything/ BD Mike Weaver

When you're lost and all alone
I will be your sure Way home
When you're left out in the cold
I will be your Shelter from the storm

When you're clouded by your doubts
You're surrounded and there's no other way out
I will be all that you need
And I'm here for the asking

Let me be your Everything
Let me be your Everything
Look at all that I will bring
In exchange for what you have
Bring your sorrow bring your shame
Bring your suffering and your pain
Don't you know the price is paid
If only you'll let Me be
Let Me be your Everything

When you're wandering in the darkness
I will be the Light that guides you
And when Death is standing at your doorway
I will be the Life inside you

When you face your deepest fears
When you can't see through all the tears
I will stay year after year
So patiently waiting ... hear me saying ...

Let me be your Everything
Let me be your Everything
Look at all that I will bring
In exchange for what you have
Bring your sorrow bring your shame
Bring your suffering and your pain
Don't you know the price is paid
If only you'll let Me be
Let Me be your Everything

Neither height nor depth, nor life or death
The angels above or the demons beneath the sea
Could ever separate you from
The love in me, so won't you let me be

Let me be your Everything
Let me be your Everything
Look at all that I will bring
In exchange for what you have
Bring your sorrow bring your shame
Bring your suffering and your pain
Don't you know the price is paid
If only you'll let Me be
Let Me be your Everything

Hey all...my DH sent me this today...isn't he a great guy! And what a great and awesome God!

Jill – God knows you (1), outwardly and inwardly (2-4), He protects you (5-6), He is with you everywhere you go (7-10), His hand of guidance and protection is upon you (10), Darkness cannot separate you from God (11-12), God created you – Jill – not from a mold – but as an individual (13-16), God had your life planned before He created you (16), God’s Wisdom and Will for your life are precious and to be sought (17-18), God knows what we struggle with and that we try to plan our lives according to our own thoughts about things (19-22), God is there to hear our prayers, to listen to our anxieties and fears and desires to show us His will – His Peace (23-24).

Psalm 139
For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.

1 O LORD , you have searched me
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD .

5 You hem me in-behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you.

19 If only you would slay the wicked, O God!
Away from me, you bloodthirsty men!
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD ,
and abhor those who rise up against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

Jill, I postively love that portion of scripture! The way Dan personalized it for you is so beautiful. Such amazing Life in the Word of God!

Thank you for sharing that. :)

Hi Sarah! Enjoy your beautiful weather. We are so cold here!! I think we went to sleep one nice spring night and forgot to wake up until winter.... or something. It's 47 degrees here. And we have cold rain! It's good "snuggle under the covers" weather, though. And great to sleep in! ::yes::

Another thread got me thinking about this song, we did this at our DS's dedication when he was a baby......I just love this song, great for Father's Day! My DS who will be 8 this year is getting so tall, it's almost hard to get all of him in your lap anymore....they grow up so fast.

I Want To Be Just Like You
By Phillips, Craig & Dean
from Lifeline

He climbs in my lap for a goodnight hug
He calls me Dad and I call him Bub
With his faded old pillow and a bear named Pooh
He snuggles up close and says, "I want to be like you"
I tuck him in bed and I kiss him goodnight
Trippin' over the toys as I turn out the light
And I whisper a prayer that someday he'll see
He's got a father in God 'cause he's seen Jesus in me

Lord, I want to be just like You
'Cause he wants to be just like me
I want to be a holy example
For his innocent eyes to see
Help me be a living Bible, Lord
That my little boy can read
I want to be just like You
'Cause he wants to be like me

Got to admit I've got so far to go
Make so many mistakes and I'm sure that You know
Sometimes it seems no matter how hard I try
With all the pressures in life I just can't get it all right
But I'm trying so hard to learn from the best
Being patient and kind, filled with Your tenderness
'Cause I know that he'll learn from the things that he sees
And the Jesus he finds will be the Jesus in me
Right now from where he stands I may seem mighty tall
But it's only 'cause I'm learning from the best Father of them all

Hi Cristy! Thanks for sharing that. :)

Hi JC2,

How are you today? Do you happen to know the children's song "I am a promise"

All I can remember right now is "I am a promise, not a possibility, I am a promise, with a capital P"

Can't find it online and have no idea who it is by.

I'm doing great, thanks! :)

These are the words to that song as I remember it, Cristy. :)

I am a promise
I am a possibility
I am a promise
With a capital P
I am a great big bundle of POTENTIALITY
And I am learning to hear God's voice
And I am trying to make the right choices
I'm a promise to be
Anything God wants me to be!

Hello, Hello everyone!!!

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD." (Psalm 27, KJV)

Hey Sheree'! Thanks for that awesome word! :)

There is a River Whose streams
Make glad the city of our God
There is a River Whose streams
Make glad the city of our God

And I will rejoice
I will rejoice and be glad
I will rejoice
I will rejoice and be glad

There is a Fountain full of grace
And it flows from Emmanuel's veins
It came and healed me
It came and refreshed me
It came and it washed my sins away

I will rejoice
I will rejoice and be glad
I will rejoice
I will rejoice and be glad

Oh I will rejoice
I will rejoice and be glad
I will rejoice
I will rejoice and be glad

I have never been this hungry before
I have never been this thirsty, Lord
Like the desert on a dry day
With the heat beating down my back
So my soul is after You

So I lift my hands to Your rain falling on me
Let it pour down my throat
Refreshing my soul
In a dry and weary land
Where there is no water
So my soul is after You
So my soul is after You

I have journeyed
Through the long dark night
Out on the open sea
By faith alone
Sight unknown
And yet His eyes were watching me

The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I’ve had visions
I’ve had dreams
I’ve even held them in my hand
But I never knew
They would slip right through
Like they were only grains of sand

The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I have been young
But I am older now
And there has been beauty these eyes have seen
But it was in the night
Through the storms of my life
Oh, that’s where God proved
His love to me

The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

A good reminder, thanks.

Praise be to the Lord,
for He has heard my cry for mercy.
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy
and I will give thanks to Him in song.

The Lord is the strength of His people,
a fortress of salvation for His annointed one.
Save Your people and bless Your inheritance;
be their Shepherd and carry them forever.
Psalm 28:6-9

~Stronger than Before~
I know God can heal all things...
Broken lives and broken wings..
Only he can mend a heart
That this world has torn apart
As the seasons make their turn
Theres a lesson here to learn
Broken wings take time to mend
Before they learn to fly again
and on the breath of God they'll soar
They'll be stronger than before..
Don't look back into the past
What was fire now is ash
Let it all be dead and gone
The time is now for moving on
As the seasons make their turn
Theres a lesson here to learn
Broken wings take time to mend
Before they learn to fly again
and on the breath of God i'll soar
I'll be stronger than before..
