Just got back from the Doctor. He agreed that my back pain is probably not from the fibromyalgia because it is persisting and different from my usual pain. After he did all of his pressing and mashing that Doctors like to do and we discovered that I also had discomfort in my abdominal area he decided it would be good to error on the side of caution and send me for a spinal x-ray and an ultrasound. I have an appointment to get those done on Thursday. He also prescribed something for the pain and something to help me sleep. I have to see him again in 2 weeks so I guess we'll see what happens. I almost added heart attack to my list of ailments when I picked up my prescriptions. Thank God I have insurance because I would hate to know what it costs without it!

i pray that your back is better princess, i have osteo in my lower back and know how bad it can be, it has acted up lately and i can't take time to lay down, but almost can't walk when it gets out of hand.

back in 82 i had the privilege to work stage crew down at baylor, and during annual talent show phil driscoll, who is a baylor alum, surprised student union director by showing up and asking to perform, he was a new christian at the time and his testimony was incredible. it was such a blessing to meet him and be a part of his homecoming and debut as a christian artist.

now for exciting update from vbs last week, total enrollment was around 3000, preschool thru 5th grade. about 190 kids made decisions and were counseled last week, and over 400 from our church are going to meet with counselors in the next few weeks after filling out cards that they wanted to talk to someone. the mexico missions offering ended up weighing over 3600 lbs. one color group of kids brought in 580 lbs. of change in one day. it was truly a blessing to be a part of it all. dw was overwhelmed physically as well as spiritually by the whole event. she had such a wonderful staff, everything went beautifully. the lord is so great and you could truly see his handiwork.

to cap off the week the church celebrated 25th anniversary last weekend, and during sat nite service dw was part of the group of people there that were baptized at the church during the 25 years, so they went down front and held candles. in the service they filled up the entire front of the altar. the total for 25 years is over 5600 baptisms. i didn't even imagine that we had that many, praise god.

well this is getting long so i'll let it go, but i had to share with someone, thanks for being there.

Phil, I'm sorry to hear about your back. I will definitely add you to my prayers. My mom has osteo arthritis as well and I know it can get you down. On a happier note, that is awesome about the turnout for your church's VBS! So many young lives forever changed for the glory of God! I know your wife and all who helped out must be drained but they will surely be blessed for their time and efforts to share the Gospel with these children. What an offering that came in too! How cool that you were able to see Phil Driscoll at the beginning of his ministry.
