Good Morning everyone!
I'm subbing today in a class of emotionally disturbed elementary aged children. I pray for these boys and that they are able to come out of this and are able to make nice lives for themselves.

Hey Jilly...I saw and then you were gone!
Thanks everyone for the prayers! DH has thought through the whole "I want to go to my friends church" thing and realized that it still so small and just starting that they don't have what our kids need....especially Jr. church for DS. We have agreed to go occassionally as we really enjoy his speaking and miss seeing them personally.
Just got word that my cousin's husband is quite sick with high fever. They are missionaries in the Congo and they think it is malaria. My aunt hasn't heard from them directly but learned of the illness in making arrangements for her pastor to travel there next month. They have 5 kids (#6 due in Nov.)! I'm sure my cousin is too busy to email. If you think of it would you pray for them? TIA....names are Jay and Crystal.
It has been wonderful to come here and read all the scripture and songs today.....always a blessing!

Tash, reminds me of the good old days when we were here together practically at the same time everyday!
What is everybody up to this weekend? I pray now for all of those who may have a difficult time this weekend because of a hurtful or unrestored relationship with thier mom. I ask God's healing powerand love to be poured out on all of our relationships. I pray that people would learn to lean on His power...resurrection POWER... and love as Christ loved, even the unlovliest.
BARB!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO! I am so happy for you and so glad that God has led you to this decision. I am praying for you and your fiancee. I love I WILL BE HERE. So glad your cantata went well and God's Spirit was moving in people's hearts there. I sometimes wonder how people can listen to the story and not be moved and broken by Jesus' sacrifice and also totally transformed by His Easter victory! Don't worry about being confused keeping up with us...its just a sign of old age...AND I CAN TOTALLY RELATE! LOL Thanks for that great song this morning too! That Rebecca St. James FREE concert sounds good...only it's on a bad day for me.
MICHELLE! I would love to come down and go to a concert with you! Usually, every year about half way through winter I say to Dan...LET'S MOVE TO FLORIDA!!!! Any concerts coming to your area in late June? We are pretty seriously thinking of going to Andy's church while we're there. My husband just told me of an upcoming concert that is about 2 hours from us...4HIM and FFH together!!!! He asked me if I wanted it for my B-day but again it comes at a busy time and it is far from free so I passed it up. Still waiting for that Bryan Duncan/4HIM event! LOL Glad you liked my Measure of a Woman Song. 
Lisa, I love your idea! I don't think Tasha would be a permanent fixture in Florida though...not enough (or should I say ANY) snow! We are pretty scattered about, but God has united us here. Thanks for sharing that great devotional. So glad you're back!

Jilly....yes I am older....sometimes I feel REALLY old. DS said a while ago that I was old...almost 60!! His thinking was that I only had to go through the 4o's and 50's to be 60!! It's a running joke here now, but he doesn't want to hear it anymore....think he's embarrassed!

You know, as I was laying in bed last night I was praying for my new friends that I have made here. I realized then that I had gotten the names wrong in some of my typing yesterday.
Tasha (stamper, right?), I am praying for your DH and you as you look for a new church. I am praying for God to give you both clear direction and to lead you right where He wants you to be. I will remember to pray for your cousin's husband today too!
Edie, you are the one that I was writing to yesterday. I am sorry that I got your name wrong. I am still learning the names of my new friends. However, God knows my heart, and He knew who I was praying for. I have it now, though. I am praying for you, that God will wrap Himself and His glorious presence around you in an overwhelming way! I am praying that He will comfort you and strengthen you in a powerful way as only He can do. I am praying that you will be a glowing example of HIS awesome amazing grace!!!!!!! This scripture came to my mind as I was typing that so I think that I will share it:
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed me

CRB#33, I am happy to "meet" you! I will be praying for you as you prepare to get married and begin your new life together
with your new DH. I love that Steven Curtis Chapman song that you sang. It is such a beautiful song!!!! He is my all-time FAVORITE singer! I have been to several of his concerts and he just seems so genuine. He appears to have such a heart for the Lord! ALL of his songs are so good!!!!! I had one of his songs in my wedding too! My DH and I used "When You Are A Soldier" in our wedding. I know the title doesn't sound like a very beautiful wedding song, but the words are exactly what my heart says to my man! It is a song that is written to a friend so maybe I will have to post that song one day for my new friends here.
Now I have a worship song to share. This one has become so special to me over this last 1 1/2 year(s) because of the moving my family has done. It got me through the 10 months in Venezuela, remembering that He is the Potter and I am only His clay. Now it is helping me to adjust to the move to Oklahoma.

LOL!! No, I don't think FL is for me except for a nice vacation! I would miss the snow (but not the sub-zero tmeps) - the mosquitoes(the Maine state bird!) I can do with out!!!

We were very close to the tornadoes last night. As a matter of fact, at about 6:30 PM there were tornadoes to the southwest of us and to the northwest of us. The weather guys were telling us that the south storm would hit Tulsa around 7:30 PM. Praise the Lord; He answered our prayers!!!!!!!!!!! Right before the storm hit Tulsa it weakened!!!! All we received here at home was a few sprinkles!!!!!!!!!!! I am praying for the people who were hit, though. The news showed some pretty devastating video footage. Oklahoma City was hit very hard by the south storm. The north storm also did lots of damage !

Last night DS#2 (age 18) said, "Don't make any plans for Mother's Day evening." When I asked why, he said that when he gets home from work we'll have Chinese and then watch a DVD of my choice. Aahh! He did remember that it's Mother's Day.

This weather has been something this year, I'm so glad to hear all here are okay! I don't think I would mind living in Florida!
Weekend: well, I just dropped DD and a girlfriend off at the movies to see "Holes". DS has a project due Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, plus a baseball game. That takes care of him. We'll have church and then are going to a Mother's Day Brunch after. I echo Jillys thought's about Mother's Day. Treasure your loved ones. My mom passed about 15 years ago. I still miss her.
Have a great weekend a blessed Mother's Day---all of you who are mothers and all of you. Weather they are still with you or with our Father--rejoice for the life she gave!

Weekend: well, I just dropped DD and a girlfriend off at the movies to see "Holes". DS has a project due Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, plus a baseball game. That takes care of him
. We'll have church and then are going to a Mother's Day Brunch after. I echo Jillys thought's about Mother's Day. Treasure your loved ones. My mom passed about 15 years ago.
