We're getting a ton of rain today...but we need it.

Anyone know this old camp song??

I see raindrops on my window
Joy is like the rain
Laughter runs across my pane (pain)
Slips away and comes again
Joy is like the rain

I see clouds upon a mountain
Joy is like a cloud
Sometimes silver
Sometimes gray
Always sun's not far away
Joy is like a cloud

I see Christ in wind and thunder
Joy is is tried by storm
Jesus present in my boat
Whipped by wind yet still afloat
Joy is tried by storm

I see raindrops on the river
joy is like the rain
Bit by bit the river grows
till all at once it overflows
Joy is like the rain

Jill!!!!!! You NUT!! Of course I appreciated you typing out that Psalm! Girl, I have so been hanging on to His every Word this week, more so than I can remember in a long time! I'll tell you something that I needed a lot out of that Psalm, Jill, is that He provides for those who fear HIM. He wants us to reverence Him, to be concerned about what HE thinks and what HE wants us to do and how HE says we should live. But if we let the fear of man, fear of circumstances, etc. control us or be our main focus, then we step out from under His covering. A very important word for me this week. And I do thank you for posting it, Jill! :)

I am Thine O Lord
I have heard Thy voice
And it told Thy love to me
And I long to rise
In the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee

Draw me nearer
Nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou has died
Draw me nearer
Nearer blessed Lord
To Thy precious bleeding side

Jesus Lover of my soul
All consuming fire is in Your gaze
Jesus I want You to know
I will worship You all my days
For no one else in history is like You
And history itself belongs to You
Alpha and Omega You have loved me
And I will spend eternity with You

It's all about You Jesus
And all this is for You
For Your glory and Your fame
It's not about me
As if You should do things my way
You alone are God
And I surrender to Your way

Jill, you posted yesterday? What? I didn't see anything! Were you posting in invisible ink again? I told you I lost my decoder ring... ;)

You are correct my friend! 5.00 cyber bucks for you to spend on 2 bags of Lay's Cheddar & Jalapeno chips. One for you, one for me. ;) Thanks so much for singing J.E.S.U.S.!!!!! I was
searching everywhere for the lyrics yesterday and couldn't find them anywhere! Love Larnell too and you know I love SC! :D

Hey, do you or maybe Dan remember Stephen Wiley? His big hit was "Bible Break". I loved him and I can't find his lyrics or music anywhere. Also, do you remember a song called "Come On Elaine"? I am almost positive that Steve Camp sings it. I can see the video in my mind......

Hey JC2!

Hey there, my Princess friend! ;)

The Change by Steven Curtis Chapman

Well I got myself a T-shirt that says what I believe
I got letters on my bracelet to serve as my ID
I got the necklace and the key chain
And almost everything a good Christian needs, yeah
I got the little Bible magnets on my refrigerator door
And a welcome mat to bless you before you walk across my floor
I got a Jesus bumper sticker
And the outline of a fish stuck on my car
And even though this stuff's all well and good, yeah
I cannot help but ask myself--

What about the change
What about the difference
What about the grace
What about forgiveness
What about a life that's showing
I'm undergoing the change, yeah
I'm undergoing the change

Well I've got this way of thinking that comes so naturally
Where I believe the whole world is revolving around me
And I got this way of living that I have to die to every single day
'Cause if God's Spirit lives inside of me, yeah
I'm gonna live life differently

I'm gonna have the change
I'm gonna have the difference
I'm gonna have the grace
I'm gonna have forgiveness
I'm gonna live a life that's showing
I'm undergoing the change

What about the change
What about the difference
What about the grace
What about forgiveness
I want to live a life that's showing
I'm undergoing the change

Wow, I love that song. Every time I hear it I am just so reminded to make sure that I really am continueing to go through that change. It's so easy to tell people what they want to hear and not step on anyone's toes but we are called to be different, to be set apart from the world. To show people that there truly has been a change in our lives since we accepted Christ as our Savior.

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2

I sit here and question why my God loves me
Though I have never done a good thing
Or a righteous deed
And though I'm rich, I claim that I'm poor
Crying over earthly things I know I can't afford but
He who died is greater than these
I should be thankful, praying on my knees

Crying
Alpha and Omega
Prince of Peace
O my King of Kings
The Great I Am
Jehovah Jireh
Who cares for me
The Holy One
The Holy Father of the Blessed Trinity
All Consuming Fire burn in me

Now I never claimed to be any more than I am
Any more than I seem
In fact I bill myself so much less than I am
So much less than He sees
So may I hold out with an open hand
This frail life of mine and pray that You can make it stand
Most Holy God it's all I need to say that I'm thankful
I can believe in the

Alpha and Omega
Prince of Peace
O my King of Kings
The Great I Am
Jehovah Jireh
Who cares for me
The Holy One
The Holy Father of the Blessed Trinity
All Consuming Fire burn in me

Peace

He is my Light and my Salvation
Whom have I to fear
In His secret place I'll hide and pray
That I might hear a simple word

O, how I would have despaired
If You had not come and found me there
I can lean against Your throne and find my peace
Find my peace

And when my enemies draw near
I pray that they will find
That I'm protected and secure
All tempests He will bind with a mighty word

O, how I would have despaired
If You had not come and found me there
I can lean against Your throne and find my peace
Find my peace

He is my Light and my Salvation whom have I to fear?

You have NO ONE and NOTHING to fear!!!!

"1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

3 though it's waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the Holy place where the Most High dwells.

5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.

6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; He lifts His voice, the earth melts.

7 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

8 Come and see the works of the Lord, the desolations He has brought on the earth.

9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear, He burns the sheilds with fire.

10 Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted amoung the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

11 The Lord Almighty is with us; The God of Jacob is our fortress." ---PSALM 46

I’m Amazed/FFH

What do I think of when I think about the cross where You died
What do I think of when I think about the sword in Your side
What do I think of when I think about the last words You cried

What do I think of when I think about the nails in Your hands
What do I think of when I think about Your blood in the sand
What do I think of when I think about it…I don’t understand

I think about Love
I think about Grace
I think about You standing in my place
And I’m amazed

What do I think of when I think about the scorns from the crowd
What do I think of when I think about them cursing out loud
I think of how their knees will one day bow

I think about Love
I think about Grace
I think about You standing in my place
And I’m amazed

What do I think of when I think about You coming back down
What do I think of when I think about me wearing that crown
What do I think of when I think about that trumpet sound

I think about Love
I think about Grace
I think about You standing in my place
And I’m amazed

Michelle...don't know if I can handle a whole bag of Cheddar and Jalapeno Lays...It's tough gettin' old ya know!!!!!
BTW that song I posted about the rain was an old camp song (as in S'mores and fires and doggie roasts) not STEVE Camp! LOLOL  Silly Princess! :)

I'll have to ask Dan about the group and songs you mentioned...there's a better chance that he'll remember them than me. Stephen Wiley Sounds familiar. Dan's and my oldie information is very complimentary since we used to listen to very different things WAY BACK WHEN! For example I couldn't stand MYLON until Dan got me hooked on him. I have liked Bryan since I can remember and stuff like David Meece, Amy Grant, Keith Green, MWS, Petra (that was our linking group!!!!)* Wayne Watson, Michael Card, GLAD, White Heart...Where DAn liked Steve Taylor, Rez Band, Mylon, Larry Norman, Randy Stonehill, of course...Phil Keaggy! Dan had more of a variety of stuff and a lot of short term people who no one around here has probably ever heard of. He had a lot more money too, to buy all of the cassettes he wanted!!!!! Well, my point is that our CCM background is very complimentary.

JC2, thanks for singing SCC...the Change!! Love it! :D

My friend Ginger who gets married on Saturday is 32. She's known and dated this guy for about 4 years and he finally finished school. Pray for Steve and Ginger as they adjust to life together.
Dan's back is still bothering him. :( He would appreciate your continued prayers

*(We think that we actually saw each other at a Petra concert a year or so before we actually met...Dan had good seats and my brother and I had cheap seats. Half way through the concert my bro and I snuck down because there were so many empty seats closer than where we were).

LOL Jilly! When you posted that song I was like that doesn't look familiar to me but *I don't know everything* ( ) so if she says it's Camp, I'll believe her. :D LOL

Will keep praying for poor Dan. :(

Love Psalm 46! Woo HOO!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

The chips are actually very mild Jilly.... ;) No really, they are.... JC2 likes them and well, you know how she is... ;)

I'll be praying for your friends too as they enter this marriage. :)

Be ye Glad/ Glad

In these days of confused situations
In these nights of restless remorse
When the heart and the soul of a nation
Lay wounded and cold as a corpse
From the grave of the inocent Adam
Comes a song bring joy to the sad
Your cry has been heard
And the ransom has been paid up in full be ye glad

Oh be ye glad, oh be ye glad
Every debt that you've ever had
Has been paid up in full by the grace of the Lord
Be ye glad

Now from your dungeon a rumor is stirring
You have heard it again and again
Ah but this time the cell keys are turning
And outside there are faces of friends
And though your body lay weary from wasting
And your eyes show the sorrow they had
oh the love that your heart is now tasting
Has opened the gates
Be ye glad

So be like lights on the rim of the water
Giving hope in a storm sea of night
Be a refuge amidst the slaughter
Of these fugitives in there flight
For you are timeless and part of a puzzle
You are winsome and as young as a lad
And there is no disease or no struggle
That can pull you from God be ye glad
