Has anyone bought/heard the new Chris Sligh album/CD?
I loved his first one. Empty Me is one of my favorite songs! I am wondering about this next one. I hope to check it out on iTunes later this afternoon. I was just curious if anyone here had feedback on it.

This week, Tuesday brought in a slew of new music from great Christian artists.

Jars of Clay presents The Shelter... a new album of new music, with collaborations by more than 15 artists on nearly every track. The title and concept come from an Irish saying, "it is in the shelter of each other the people live." Great music and lyrics, based around the whole concept of being in community with one another...

33 Miles released their 3rd album called Today. Pop and rock, vocals and guitars, it's pop music at it's finest!! Well grounded lyrics speak to the heart of believers and the vocals are amazing!! Producers are Nathan Nockels and Ian Eskelin. (currently on unlimited repeat in my house)

Matthew West also has a new project out this week. It's called The Story of Your Life. Matthew took stories and letters from listeners around the world, and spent time hibernating in a cabin reading them all. From them, he picked out some, and wrote songs about them, as well as the song "My Own Little World" from the perspective of someone who's been living in their own world, but soon opens their eyes to what else is going on around them. The themes can be tough, abuse, loss, but the overall effect is hopeful... definitely a powerful album.

Looking for someone to pray with me right now ....

Our oldest DD is getting over an ex-boyfriend. It wasn't good for her, and didn't end well, and she's still nursing a wounded heart.

Tonight, right now as I type, she's with a new boy, who we know is a Christian and a real sweetheart. We don't necessarily think he's *the one* but we're just hoping she'll see there are other *fish in the sea*.

She hasn't been in the best mood lately, which is understandable, but is usually a real sweetheart herself. Will someone please pray with me that she will at least be open to a new guy, just the possibilty that there may be others out there better for her? And that she'll be her sweet fun wonderful self, instead of still thinking of her ex? (which I know would make a difference in the mood of the night)

Does that make sense? Would really appreciate the prayers. You don't know her, but the Lord does, and I know there are prayer warriors out there tonight!

I am sorry that I have not been around lately. My computer got a virus and crashed back in mid October. I am just now getting it back!

I will pray for all of the broken hearts that have been mentioned here. DD and boyfriend broke up over this past weekend, too. She is so sad and hurt. I am praying for her over the same issue!

I have been listening to Christmas music for about a month now.
This is my favorite time of year, and I have so many favorite Christmas songs.
So I thought I share a few of them over these next few weeks.
This is one of my favorites. There is a lady at our church who sings it each year. I cannot find the lyrics online, but I did find a video with the lyrics posted. The video has a choir singing the song, and I have to confess that it is not the best version I have ever heard sung. However, the words are still powerful.......
He still came. Despite all that He would endure, He still came...just for me!

DD is bettter, and now has a *seeking heart* for *the one*. Pray with me please that the Lord brings someone new into her life, even if for the sole purpose to see there ARE other guys out there. I will pray that for the others here too!

Also praying for oldest son's GF and her family. Sharing them with the *in-laws* is tricky, and there are unique circumstances with this family so really appreciate your prayers!!!

BTW, is there a prayer thread here? Or somewhere y'all visit? Sometimes its difficult sharing with even dear friends when living in a small town, and there are no secrets
