It's really too bad what has happened to Chris Mathews. During the Clinton years he was pretty even handed and never let any guest Dem or Rep get away with spewing nonsense. You always knew he was left of center but was always pretty honest in his opinions. He even guest-hosted Rush Limbaugh once.

The longer Bush was in office the less sense he seemed to make. Not that Bush was perfect but Mathews' positions on issues, many times, had no rational basis. He just took the Democrat side. Maybe his ratings were better when he exhibited Bush derangement syndrome?

yes it was racist and bigoted. His comment was directly related to the color of Jindal's skin and his name. Jindal is on the other side, so you have to make excuses for it. I get it. No problem.
