Chris Matthews remark????

Excuse me, the delivery his comments are more important than the real live actual comments??You are kidding me, right???

what are you talking about? i said the issue conservatives had with jindal's response was NOT with his content. we were slightly less than pleased with his delivery.

Sorry, but when the criticism is coming from many (not all) of the posters who regulary refer to Obama as "Hussein" (and feign innocence when doing so  ) , I just can't feel bad about Matthews' comment. :confused3 FTR I think the comment was inappropriate and unprofessional, but as I said earlier, President Obama has endured *much* worse, so why would you expect the left to express outrage when it happens to one of your own?

I apologize, i thought you were referring to mathews, the subject of the thread.

i was responding to this. were you referring to somebody else's performance besides jindal's?

So you know what he thought? (I lost my tin foil hat, so I can no longer do this ) Seriously, how do you know what he thought?

He "thought" the mike was off. He has apologized for it since.

Poor Chris, maybe he should learn to be more "subtle" like Fox News! :rotfl2:

Subtlety, the mantra of the OS! :rotfl2:

Well we didn't need for the mike to be off to know where Chris Matthews stands, he is hardly subtle. His bias borders on the ridiculous. Why even bother to pretend you are balanced?

The subject of this thread is Matthews...so I assumed you were speaking about Matthews...and I have apologized for my mistake.:confused3

Oh please. If this is the *worst* it gets from the "MSM" you should thank your lucky stars. Have you heard some of the absolute crap that "Fair and Balanced" FOX says about President Obama? :rotfl:

i read your apology, which wasn't necessary, but thanks.

i was clarifying what my comment, and yours, referred to. it was absolutely on topic, as it was CM who made the "oh god" comment about jindal prior to his speaking.

Apologized for the "oh God" remark. But I do not think he had anything to apologize for with the actual content of his "outsource" remarks. I have posted the actual rmarks many times and it gives me a great big "hookairs". Now...if we are talking about being politically correct, where we have to watch every word we say despite the context in which it is spoken....yeah, perhaps un PC - in a wierd way.

But I know alot of folks that had an "oh God" about his entire prformance - and believe me, not just Democrats.

I am curious if anyone will respond to the actual statement.

After seeing the actual statement I would have to agree that it is not a racist remark. I can't rule out the use of the word outsource as a Freudian slip though.

Chobie, I had an argument with dh about Indian being a race, he sided with you. Guess who's sleeping on the couch tonight :lmao:
Just kidding, you were correct, I was wrong.

Its not even bordering anymore. He fell off the "Ridiculous" Cliff about a year ago. Did you see the clip of him on Leno, when he panted "If you're actually in the room when he gives one of his speeches, and you don’t cry, you’re not an American." Then he practically hyperventilated as he repeated over and over how "cool" Obama was. It was hysterical. He is truly the height of journalistic integrity.

AW, be nice to hubby.:goodvibes

I agree, he did not deliver his speech well.

Is the word 'outsource' racist because the US outsources so much business to India. Is that racist? I don't get it. If you think that is racist, then you have to ask all those posters that refer to Obama's middle name. Since it is used to associate him with America's once Enemy #1 Saddam Hussein. So, if Matthews is racist - how many are racist post on these boards - more commonly in the conservative thread? I'm really interested in hearing an answer for this one. I'd like to know how the two are different. Obama's middle name is Hussein and Jindal's family is from India.

Here is the video of the 'outsource' comment.

I hear you, my DH better never side with a con on the Dis either.:rotfl:

associating somebody with a terrorist isn't racist; it may be unfair, but it isn't racist. i think the use of the word "outsource" was unfortunate, but it didn't sound racist to me.
