Chris Madden dinnerware????

I am in need of new dinnerware. Has anyone ever used the Chris Madden dishes? Are they worth the money? How well do they hold up? Do you know of another brand like the Madden ones that are maybe better quality or better price? My neice has a set from the Bombay company (they are no longer in business where I live, not sure about other parts of the US) that I really like, closest thing I have found is the Chris Madden set. Any info or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. TIA Tink
