Chris Brown

I had to google it to see what she was referring to.

In 1990, Charlie Sheen and Kelly Preston were engaged. He had a 22 pistol. One day, he left it in his pants pocket when he changed clothes. Kelly was putting his clothes in the hamper when the gun apparently fell to the floor and discharged. A bullet shattered the toilet. Kelly was hit with a piece of the broken porcelain and required two stitches.

Not really the same as him shooting his girlfriend, in my opinion.

Wait. His gun (when he wasn't touching it) shot a toilet. A broken piece of the toilet hit Sheen's girlfriend. And somehow that translates to Sheen shooting his girlfriend. Seriously?! So Chris Brown hit his girlfriend and threw a chair through a window, OJ might have hired someone to shoot his wife, but Sheen is worse because his gun shot a toilet?! That has to be some sort of bad joke.

Just want to add that like it or not, public perception is what Chris Brown needs to be successful in his business. He can't have it both ways. He NEEDS this perception to be positive. If he wants people to move on, he needs to do whatever it takes and that means a huge dose of humility over and over again for the rest of his life if necessary. Actions speak way louder than words. His actions are indicative of just how sorry he is NOT.

I agree. But maybe he isn't sorry and that is ok to me. WE don't know what happened before he hit her. If he lied and said he felt bad when he didn't, that would be worse.

I don't care what she supposedly did. NO ONE deserves to be attacked like that. He BEAT her. I don't understand how anyone could justify that.

He is immature and reminds me of a little boy with too much money.

But he said that right after the incident happened. It's been two years people, move on.

Um, he said that YESTERDAY MORNING. That is what jumpurdy and most in this thread are talking about; His ABC Good Morning America interview yesterday and then his angry tirade, destroying his dressing room and breaking the big window in his dressing room.

AND right after the accident before he went into therapy. He's pissed because Robin kept bringing EVERY question back to that incident.

We don't need to know what happened before he beat-up on her face. There's nothing she could have done or said to justify him doing that to her.

You certainly have a warped view regarding situations like this.

Well he can be ticked, he brought that on himself. He could have said, I messed up, paid my dues, now I am gong on with my life. However, we put our big boy pants on-or pull them back up after having nude pictures of him leaked-and conduct ourselves instead of a temper tantrum shattering a window that could have had injured someone below.

He is just proving people right. I actually liked his songs up until all that, but I don't give a flying flip what race you are, you don't beat someone like that unless your life depends on it. at the same time don't entitle your newest album Forgiving all my enemies, stupid. you don't think someone is going to ask who you think your enemies are?

Warped? No. Different. Yes. Everyone has their opinions and views. I just don't happen to think he is as horrible as everyone else thinks. Maybe it's because unlike many I look at both sides. he clearly is prone to rage so yeah he's not someoen I would want to date and I'm very sure that wasn't the first time he hit her. was it right that he did NO but she is the controller of her life she should have left from the beginning. There has been a lot of information released on miss RiRi, not sure if it gets to your neck of the woods but she isn't as squeaky clean as her publicist may want many to think.

What you're not getting is that NEVER have i said she deserved it what I am saying is that you can't pretend to be a victim if you are provoking someone you know is unstable.

I can not stand Chris Brown, I used to like him now I do not.. Even if Rhianna did push his buttons he should have never laid a finger on her at all! Bottom Line. How was she suppose to know going into a relationship that he was short fused and that he would beat the crap out of her?? Also how many times do you hear that woman go back to the man that was beating her? alot there is alot of mental issues going on with the victim so please dont pull that bull of she should not have pushed his buttons for all you know she could have been agreeing with everything he was saying and he just flips out.

Do I still like Charlie Sheen, yes I do, I find him funny, I also know he is crazy addict. But do we really know that he beat his wife/gf? no, why is that because it was settled out of court, we did not have the pictures as proof either..with Chris Brown I had proof, he was proved guilty and the pictures were all over the place.

So she isn't a victim even though he beat the heck out of her... because she 'provoked' him. Lady, I don't know what planet you're from but it sure isn't Earth.

I hate to break this to you: but some abusers don't need any provacation, the wind can blow a wrong direction. It doesn't have to be a woman getting in his face or saying the wrong thing. anything can set off certain people off.

Now I do agree that she was in control of her own life, however, I have learned that women stay even for the reason-as warped as it sounds-to make sure they did everything they could to "help" this person, or to do everything they could to keep the relationship going because they didn't want to fail. Is it rational thinking, no, but to them it is.

How the heck is that different than saying that she deserved it? If you think that she "can't pretend to be a victim", then you are saying that she deserved it.

Perhaps you can ask your brilliant daughter to explain the english language to you.

Law enforcement sources say that the NYPD will not investigate the matter because there is no complaining victim. Brown could have faced prison time if the judge violated his probation on grounds he committed vandalism. The judge will not violate his probation unless New York prosecutes him ... and that's not going to happen.

Why can't someone at ABC file a complaint?

Do you not realize that when you make a statement (first bolded sentence) like this that you are justifying the fact that he beat her?

In the second bolded statement you are, in essence, saying she is not a victim because you think she was provoking him.

I thought I heard that even if ABC didn't make a complaint, that his probation officer could conduct his/her own investigation of the incident, and possibly bring it to the judge. I may have mis-understood, but that's what I thought I heard.

ABC would be stupid under these circumstances to press charges. Believe it or not, that idiot has a support system. The backlash of pressing charges would be harsh for ABC. I hate it, but I see why they didn't file charges. If anyone does anything it should come from his probation officer. But he should be canceled from DWTS next week.
