Going on a Disney cruise in Feb/March next year. Me, spouse, 11 year old son. Schedule opened up, and we decided to add a visit to WDW. Sooo, we arrive in Orlando on Friday afternoon 4:30 flight. Gone for the next week. Back Saturday Morning, Leave Wednesday afternoon 5:40.
Looking at the following rough outline of a schedule
Figure we can be at the MK Friday by 7:00 PM. Staying at WDW property, so I can get FP+ the end of December. Get Fast Passes for 7DMT and the fireworks, one more, not sure which one. Park open till midnight, and we are on Mountain time, but have to get up and catch a shuttle to the port in the morning. 10:00 fireworks, 11:00 2nd electric parade. We make a list top to bottom priority and see as much as we like.
We get back from cruise Saturday morning, I figure back to the park by 11:00 or so. Hollywood Studios for Saturday, FP+ for TSMM, and schedule the rest as best I can.
Sunday, no parks, quiet day.
Monday, Epcot Center, RD if possible, but more likely 10:00 or so. I know how mornings usually work for us.
Tuesday, MK. Once again, as early as possible
Wednesday, probably HS for the morning (depending on what we were able to see/do Saturday.) or perhaps MK.
With limited time, I decided not to try to slip animal kingdom in.
Lots of chunks of days, and it has been more than 30 years since I have been to WDW. We went to DL a couple of years ago, but first time at WDW for wife and son.
Sorry, lots of details for the setup. I discovered that the week we want to hit the park is the first week of Spring Break, so crowd levels are supposed to be 6-7. Bad Crowded, but not unbearable. Unfortunately we couldn't go the week before the cruise. I am going through the cheat sheets, and planning tips. I know, for instance that I am hitting Hollywood Studios on the "not recommended" days, but it was the only way I could find to fit MK and Epcot in on recommended times.
With this kind of a broken up schedule, any recommendations? especially things like what FP+ you would get for this kind of an arrangement. I have some restaurant reservations, (Wave, Sci Fi drive in, Garden Grill, Liberty Tree) but I may cancel them for just finding a bite on the way, and using the time to park visit.
If this were you, what would you schedule?
