Choosing flight

We have a companion ticket for Alaska Airlines, as well as a $100 credit. Currently the fare total for 2 tickets comes to $529 if we take the earliest flight out of PDX and then the return flight is the earliest flight out of MCO. If I select to take the red eye out the evening before it brings the total down to $440. Its not a huge difference, but we would have the whole first day already in Orlando. It would arrive @ like 6:15am....It seems very early. Is it worth it to do the Red Eye? I should mention that if we fly out on Saturday morning we dont arrive in Orlando until 5:15pm Anny advice is greatly appreciated. Thank You

Well let see you gain a whole day at Disney and you save a good chunk of money. Seems like a no brainer...take the earlier flight

I come from the west coast and I will never do another red eye. We did it on our 3rd trip and that first day was a zombie day and not worth it.

I didn't mention this is for September 14-21. Should I wait to see if prices go down? Or does this seem reasonable?
I"m a little worried about being very tired, but I suppose I could take a PM to ensure I sleep on the plane

No! Don't take the red-eye. You will be exhausted the next day.
