Choosing best resort for access to WDW

Hi,

We have decided to stay in WDW accomodation on our next visit and am currently thinking that it would be best to stay in the contemporary or polynesian for their ease of access to Magic Kingdom. We have a 4yr old and a 1yr old and last visit (we stayed in Sheraton Vistana) it seemed hard work getting in and out of the parks - cars, buses, monorails, so we usually just went for a whole day. Thought it would be nicer to pop in and out and have a more relaxing holiday. Any advice please ?

One of the reasons we stay at the GF is the easy access to the MK, as this is where we spend most of our time. We take the monorail to the park in the morning and the boat back to the GF. The boat first stops at the GF and then goes to the Poly. Our daughter was 6 when we first stayed at the GF and are going back again in December. I highly recommend staying at the Poly or the GF (haven't stayed at the CR).

Both CR and Poly are great choices - especially with little ones. You just can't beat being on the monorail! From CR, you can actually walk to/from MK in about 8 minutes. (We often walk to MK and take the monorail back since it's the first stop.)

I can tell you from experience to stay at a monorail resort -- CR, Poly, or GF. We stayed at AKL with 7 month old twins and almost didn't go back to WDW because of how much of a hassle the bus system was with the babies, stroller, etc. Well, we did go back a few months later and stayed at CR and it changed our whole trip from burdonsome to relaxing and fun. We walked to the MK every day (about 10 minute walk) and also utilitized the monorail. You can just roll your stroller right on the monorail. We are trying Poly out in a couple of months and can't wait!

I highly recommend you choose from CR, Poly, or GF. Have fun!
