So, I know a lot of people on here go to easywdw and so do I. Here is my question...

I have three days/likely just evenings as we have been 6 days with kids and then shipped them home and are bridging before our cruise. Anyway, I was thinking a night at Epcot, a night at DHS, and a night at MK. If I do this I am having problems choosing when to do MK as only one of the three is a Recommended night. Here is the catch....

On the recommended night it closes at 11pm. On a non recommended night it stays open until 1am. There are EMH in the morning 8-9am, but will that affect the evening that much. I was thinking the people up that early for the EMH might be spent and leave around 10-11 to leave the last couple hours pretty nice.

Should I go on the night with the 1am closing or 11pm? Thanks!

I will be there the 29th as well, and I am being optimistic that they will open the rest of that week to 1 am. I cannot see the week leading up to 4th of July having less park hours than practically the whole month of July.

That being said, I think that pretty much any time after the parade starts you will see lines go down no matter which night you choose. I think the AM EMH affects the park recommendations, and by later in the evening you are correct in thinking a lot of people will leave and recommended parks don’t really matter at that point. It would be different if you were spending all day there. You should be fine either night you choose.

I think you are complicating the answer a little bit. I am not saying EMH do not have an influence on the crowd but I would look at it from the other angle. out of 3 days you have at your disposal - in your opinion on which day would "most" people go to MK? My guess - Friday/Saturday/Sunday are probably the busiest MK days. I would add Monday to it too. Why? Simple - add your regular vacation people plus people who visit MK who are locals on weekends. I would say Tuesday would be good day to go to MK in general. Logic is simple - for those who start their vacation on the weekend - first day of MK is Monday and than move to another park on Tuesday thus making MK less crowded.

Again - this is not "scientific" approach but rather logical explanation of some crowd movements.

I went in May and we went against Josh recommendations since I wanted to take advantage of morning EMH and midday crowd had no influence on me since we went back to the resort for naps with 2 little kids.

Just like evening EMH play to your advantage - nobody with young kids will not stay past 10-11pm in MK.

Alright, cool. I am wondering if I even need to spend an evening at DHS. Perhaps two at Epcot? We have never been to Epcot, so I am not sure how much my wife and I will actually want to do/need the time at Epcot.
