Choose one: Emeril's or Tchoup chop

I guess you all can tell I am a chronic planner. DH is a food network junkie (though he doesn't cook at all... go figure!) I have checked out the menus and prices for both Emeril's and Tchoup chop. Due to budget constraints, we will likely only do one. We are staying at RPH.

Here are my questions:

1. If you could only choose one of these, which would you choose, and why?

2. As lunch is cheaper, is there a big difference in your experience at lunch and at dinner?

3. Any favorite items you would suggest?

4. Can we dress fairly casually? i.e. slacks and polo for DH, slacks or very casual dresses for me and DD.

I pick TC for the Chef's Tasting Menu but Emeril's has a good buffalo steak.

That's a hard one. We ate at both and enjoyed our food equally as much. I have to pick Tcoup Chop for the atmosphere though. Dress is resort causal at both, so you should be fine. I think you'll be pleased with either one. Enjoy!!

I've at at both, I would definitely pick Tchoup Chop. Great food, mai tai's and atmosphere.

look at the menus but realize they're seasonal and change. I like the food at Emeril's over Tchoup Chop, but the setting at Tchoup Chop is amazing.

there's a small upstairs area at Emeril's that is more intimate than the main dining room.

I don't think so, we had dinner at both and just liked Tchoup Chop overall better.

I wasn't impressed with Emeril's Citywalk, while Tchoup Chop is my favorite restaurant. Amazing service along with better food and atmosphere.
