I m trying to decide the best place to stay with our family of 7 (3 teenage boys, 7 & 8 year old).

1st option = I booked 2 rooms at CSR. I've been intigued by this resort. Two concerns are size and beds. I need a really nice pillowtop bed.

2nd opton - 2 bedroom villa at OKW. I can't search the threads so I can't find any info about transportation, beds, size etc. (anyone have a link to an OKW resort thread) SSR and OKW are the only 2 bdrms available with the 20% off.

3rd option - 2 standard rooms at WL

We will spend a lot of time at Epcot, but the kids hate the boats in august. They thought they were way to hot. We stayed at the Swan last year and loved it.... The only problem is that my husband became a little stingy in the food spending dept so I want to do at least the reg DDP.

So where would you stay if these were your choices?????

I don't know about the other resorts but I'm pretty sure, unless there's been big changes, that you won't get a pillowtop bed at CSR. It's a very nice resort and will be great for your kids though. I'm sure there are others on the board that will be able to give you more info.

My teenage son loves CSR and would pick it over anywhere else we have stayed. Your younger ones would love the pool and slide. You have rentals there both on and off the lake. The food court is great with lots of choices and my teen boy raves about how big the servings are. You are in a moderate which could save you money - to pay for your DDP, so your DH may like that.

Good transportation to all parks, and I have let my teens go to parks on their own.

PS You could always take your own pillowtop mattress cover for your bed !

I've stayed all over WDW (except SSR, Pop and Swolphin) and don't recall sleeping on a pillow-top.

Good luck in your pillow-top search, though!

From the places you listed, I'd pick OKW or SSR, then WL, then CSR.

I guess pillow-top was the wrong word to use. I just hate a hard, uncomfortable bed. I guess I'm getting old and the body can't take what it used to.

CSR would definitely be less $$ - about half the cost of OKW.

You can always bring an air mattress and put it on top of the bed. I use to do this long ago. Since then I have found most hotel beds are a little more accommodating to my body. Can also try an egg crate but I think that could be a bit of a pain to travel with if flying. Although if you do not meet the bag allowances then you could probably fit at least a twin size in a suit case.

Good luck on your resort choice! Have a great trip!

The only bed I can think of that was REALLY noticeably comfortable and more so compared to the others was at the Grand Floridian - and there - you get what you pay for :-)
