*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

It is quite far from D.C. to Williamsburg (even from D.C. to Richmond)!

Glad you didn't have to go to Newport News. It's not a pretty town :sad2:

Did you see me waving as you rode through Maryland? :confused3

I still haven read through the whole thing but it is my bed time :sad2: . I am enjoying it so far. This is actually the first Pre Trip Report I have read. I am gald I clicked on yours because I am going almost the exact same day. Aug 8-16. Maybe I will see you. We will be staying at POR and as far as I can tell I we don't have any of the same ADR.

This will be my family's (dd 14, ds 12 and dd 7)first trip to WDW. I went three times when I was under the age of 18. My DH and I have been to Disneyland twice. Once prechildren and once post children (I was pregnant with my now 7 year old at the time). DH doesn't seem to understand what the difference is but he is starting to come around. He actually watched Disney on a Dime with me last weekend. He kept saying "Are we going to do that ?" I had to explain that we were doing Disney on a nickle and so no park hopper or water parks for us.:sad2:.

Looking forward to seeing how the trip plans un fold.

:welcome:

Maybe we will run into each other.

So exciting that it's your family's first trip to WDW. Even without the park hopper, it's so much fun. With the right planning, you don't even need the hopper.

as long as we aren't insanely busy they dont mind :)

I can when my students are at a special.

I didn't know Newport News was not so nice. I've always heard of it, but never been there.

I did see you wave. I was probably icing my head at the time.

Well, it happened. The stomach virus that inhabited T is now wrecking havoc in me  I didn't go to work today and, after a rough night and morning, am now starting to feel a little better. The dizzyness is the worst.

I hope to be able to write a Williamsburg update and post some Disney news.

Right now, it's off to have some water and crackers :sad2:

Aww, I haven't been to Williamsburg in about 15 years! You're making me want to go back! (Of course, as a teenager I was highly bored by the colonial stuff...I went to Busch Gardens!!!)

 Oh Macushla hope you get better soon:goodvibes

Thanks :)

Next time I go back, I'm going to Busch Gardens. I'm hoping for a weekend trip this summer.

Sorry you're feeling sick. Hope it doesn't last too long.

Thanks :goodvibes

hope your starting to feel better.

Thanks :goodvibes
I wish the stomach virus would subside :sad2:

Hubba Hubba. dig the bonnet....

Just sprayed iced coffee over the keyboard when I read your response! :lmao:

Wow your daughter has a plan too. And an interesting degree choice.
Yes, "interesting" is a good word for it. :rotfl: "Equine Studies"

I took a train from LA to NYC and it was ok. I had fun people all around me.

Oh Lordy! What a trip THAT must have been!!:rolleyes1 I would have gone nuts in one place for that long! lol

 So sorry to hear you caught "the bug". Try some Coca-cola and pretzels. (my cure-all. ;) )

Hope you're feeling better soon Jennifer

You know, I've been to Colonial Williamsburg at least twice and both times I never paid. For those that don't know, you can walk around without paying admission (at least, you could when I went years ago). You just couldn't go into any of the buildings. My ex and I were very poor when we lived in Virginia :rotfl:

I did go to Bush Gardens once, though. That was back in the day when I could go on thrill rides without being super scared or get dizzy :sad2:

Yeah. Then I got OLD.
