*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

and jumpin' in!

Hi. :wave2:

After you so graciously joined my pre-trippie, I thought, let me just go and take a little look see.

Wow! Do you all have some fun over here?:rotfl:

I don't even know where to begin. Your adorable family (that nephew is too cute for words), the cocktail porn, the witty banter...I love it!

Just from what I can remember some of your questions were...

At the Brown Derby, I love the Cobb Salad. The original Hollywood restaurant is where the Cobb was born, and I think, personally, that they make it best. All the other Cobbs you can get at other restaurants are pale imitations compared to the delectable goodness that is a Brown Derby Cobb.

:::thud::: Sorry, getting off my soapbox. ;)

I would definitely stick with the Contemporary as your first night resort. Have you seen photos of the rooms since they've been refurbed? Heavenly! I would like a CR room with Poly amenities. Love that Lava Pool.

Which brings me to another point. I am totally coveting your vacation, and totally pysched for you that you are getting to stay in these awesome deluxes with a fantastic view. Therefore, I require an in depth trip report and many, many photographs. ;)

Also, for arrival day, I think just chilling at the Contemporary is a great idea. Go for a swim, do some shopping, enjoy the arcade. Whatever floats your boat. Then you'll be there for dinner, no rushing, and have a totally relaxed way to start your vacation.

I hope some of that was helpful. Can't wait to hear more! popcorn::

Thanks for joining us!

I am going to do a tr with lots of photos :thumbsup2

I can't wait to try the Cobb salad. I love salad

And I think you're right about arrival day. I think an afternoon swim before Chef Mickey's would be best.

I hope you do a tr!

:rotfl: DH was laughing at me that I'm only on day 2 of our trip in my report. He said by the time I finish we will be on our next trip. Hopefully it won't take me that long, but I have made myself promise not to start my pre-trip report for Disneyland until I finish my trip report.

It's so easy to get caught up in your ptr/tr. Plus you have to share all the details and photos. Can't rush that :thumbsup2

Do you think you'll be tempted to start your ptr soon?

Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope to be joining you all for the nightly cocktails.

I hear you! I've been nursing a migraine for the better part of the day, and somehow I don't think a glass of wine would help...or would it? :lmao:

I find a glass of wine often helps to take the edge off...;)

Or vanilla ice cream with pineapple toppings, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream which is going to be my decadent edge-taker-offer of choice tonight. :thumbsup2

Alas! The older I get, the more lactose intolerant I become. The only dairy my poor tummy can handle is yogurt, and I think that's because it has the bacteria in it that helps regulate your digestive system. I'm sorry, that's just so gross to say on a public board. :scared1:

My many apologies for indulging in a little ZZUB moment. ;)

Wine always helps ;) :drinking1

I just had cookies and cream. I had to settle for ice cream because no one's going to ring my doorbell and have a Lapu Lapu.

:wave2: Just trying to catch up here. :surfweb:

Hi

I'll give him a sweater :lmao:

:lmao:

Maybe it could be the fire thrower one and then he could warm up that way! :rotfl:

I just got some Disney Mom's Club thing in the mail and I haven't had a chance to look around but have you heard anything about it? It looks like a big advertisement. :confused3

Did you apply for the Moms' Panel? It is kind of like a consolation thing -- I got mine today. Did you open it? There are some goodies inside!

Never heard of it, but then again I've never given birth to anything.
