choc walk

has anyone ever done the choc walk? I know it's coming up soon & i was looking ot maybe join a group rather than starting a group. But i don't know what to expect or how to go about it. any help is appreciated.

lol. Choc actually stands for Childrens Hospital of Orange County & the CHOC walk is to help raise money for the hospital held in Disneyland property. You can find out more here http://www.choc.org/chocwalk/walk_main.cfm

Well, that's certainly a MUCH better cause and better for the body than my thought. lol...please PM me if you get this going and are looking for people to donate. Can't do a lot, but we will certainly do what we can to help.

Oops, got so excited I forgot to describe it. CHOC Walk is a fundraiser for Childrens Hospital OC. It takes place at DL every year in October. The walk iteself is about 3 miles, but you can take it as slow as you want, it is not a marathon. The walk goes through DL and DCA ona preset course before the park opens, and it is so fun! They always have characters and entertainment along the way cheering you on. It is early in the AM, but well worth it when you see all the teams and why they walk and see the kids CHOC has helped in the past walking to support the hospital. Last year for the first time they reached capacity before the day of the walk and had to cut off new reg's so I'd reccommend signing up sooner rather than later. Like with any walk, you can collect donations/sponsorships from friends and family and you earn prizes ( DL tix!) based on how much you raise. You are required to have 6 people to make up a new team, or you can walk on your own or join an existing team. Hope that helps! We LOVE CHOC and the care our daughter has recvd there and we do everything we can to help support the hospital!
