We will be in the park on Sunday the 11th. I know that the park opens late because of the walk, but what else should I brace myself for?

Any strategies?

Should I plan for a day in CA?

Expect both parks to be busier that day. They offer a special discounted ticket to participants, and even though it's good for a few weeks, many just use it that same day. Enables you to avoid the parking charge since participants get to park free.

The main thing is to completely avoid the ticket booths, which get crazy swamped with walkers getting their discounted ticket. Also anyplace serving breakfast gets nuts because a lot of walkers have been up since 4am or something and need food. We ended up at Whitewater Snacks last year with a 40-minute wait and considered ourselves lucky. Maybe mobile order wasn’t a thing yet? Or the times kicked out too far? Anyway, I’d avoid breakfast spots.

I went last year on the day of the Choc Walk. We didn't arrive until 5p that day and we were still able to do 13 attractions on top of eating at Blue Bayou (with a reservation) and seeing F! due to the dining package. We also utilized MaxPass for quite a few rides and got in line for Peter Pan around 1150p. We noticed it was busy when we first got there but the park quickly thinned out and most rides had between a 15 and 30 min wait.

Mobile ordering was in use as I used it that week. But can't remember if it was in use everywhere by then.

I assume that the discounted tickets do not include the Magic Morning right? They moved Magic Morning to Sunday which is the only day I will get to use mine. I am hoping that will give me a bit of time before the crowds descend. .. and now I think I will make sure to get breakfast done by then.
