Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

We had 2 booked 30 minutes apart for 6 people. 1 for 4 people and the other for 2 people. I called to ask a CM if there was anyway to put them together and if we'd be able to move it together upon arrival. Twice when I asked I was told a firm no due to fire code. I did eventually get a rez for 6 for the day AFTER I wanted and grabbed it. That was supposed to be our resort resting morning before hitting the world showcase and dinner at Chefs de France but a family vote kept the BOG rez. I figured if it was meant to be for the day before when we are at MK, it will happen. If not, we will use our park hopping and enjoy a breakfast at BOG like our kids wanted. I can't complain, all other ADRS we have were exactly what I wanted so I can live with this. But, here's to wishing. If we get a BOG lunch the day before, then that's even better.

We switched our park days a bit and now have an Epcot day with no ADR, which is fine, but wondering if I should grab a lunch or dinner at San Angel or Tutto Italia (which are available) or is there something else I should start searching for? I think Italian or Mecican would be good options for the kids. Any advice?

I would check out the menus and see if your kids would like the options and if they don't then keep trying and hopefully more will open up. I agree that Italian and Mexican should be good for kids but I haven't checked out those menus for awhile now.

The good thing about Epcot is that most restaurants also have a QS option. So it kind of depends on how you like to do meals...I like taking a break out of the day to sit down and eat so I try to get TS options that fit into my schedule. But on our Epcot day I'm doing a TS breakfast and plan on QS for lunch since there are so many options and varieties of food choices.

Smart plan!! If you get to the point that you just can't eat anymore (I know for me that's a hard point to get to - LOL), look for packaged foods to take home with you for later enjoyment!

When we went in 2013 I knew we wouldn't be able to use all the snack credits we had, so I used a lot of them at Epcot on packaged foods. I used one on a candy bar in Great Britain (I think it was) and some on Werther's candy in Germany. I think I ended up using snack credits to get 3 bags of Werther's to bring home with me --- yum!!! As we went through the different countries I just asked if they had any packaged candy that counted towards the snack credit. It may have changed since 2013, but just something to look for if you need to use snack credits!!

It seems like today has been a very good day when it comes to getting ADRs. I was just curious as to what's available during my week and saw 1900 PF, CRT, CP, Kona, Minnie's H&V (no F). So if you're looking for something or trying to tweak your times, check often.

Have you gone to the page while logged in and checked in the upper right corner (opposite the page numbers) to make sure that it says the thread is being watched?

Also, they just changed policies that you have to have the person with the credit card on the reservation there (especially when checking in) AND some reservations, (wishes specifically but they said others too) were (I think) 8 days for cancellations!

Probably to prevent adrs from being sold.

I just got two tickets for Merry & Bright Dessert Party at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Has anyone been to this event. It was expensive! I am trying to figure out if I want to keep it.

I'm so glad they changed the policy with the ADR and credit card holder. This will definitely prevent the ADR scalping.

I booked the wishes dessert party and my email confirmation still says 5 days for cancellation. I don't think they can change that cancellation policy for current ADR holders but can change it for those who haven't made the reservation yet.

I'm still searching daily for a few ADR's - but I'm wondering if things will show up last minute, I just randomly looked for breakfasts for tomorrow and there are tons of choices, like BOG, Ohana, Crystal Palace... I'm not going for a few weeks, but curious what will show up at the last minute...
